• Restore three mile UK fishing limit.
The 3 mile limit was done away with by Margaret Thatcher. since then this indiscriminate fishing has decimated undersized stocks, wrecked the sea bed and coral reefs, and ruined the vital breeding grounds for many marine creatures. Fishing using pots and creels could continue as these cause little damage and undersized catch are returned.

  • Ban Horse Racing - It's Immoral
1,000 horses are slaughtered each year and more than 370 are raced to death in the UK alone. The Government is encouraging people to bet on horse races and then take tax away from all winnings. Horse racing isn't needed to sustain the betting industry anymore. It kills innocent animals, fuels the rich and takes money from the people betting. The whole system is immoral - for the horses and the people.

  • Dogs and Cats still being eaten in Yulin and Guangdong
People think that because the Yulin Dog Festival has apparently been stopped, dogs are no longer on the menu. Just because it isn't labelled as a Festival doesn't mean it has gone away. Dogs and cats are still rounded up, some stolen from loving homes, tortured and killed or skinned alive in preparation for eating. These animals are thinking, feeling creatures not that much different from us. They deserve love, kindness and a good home, not starvation, cruelty, torture and death. The situation in Guangdong hasn't changed either, with thousands of dogs slaughtered and eaten locally or shipped to other places around the country.

  • Let's stop this illegal slaughter of our migrating birds
25 million birds are killed on migration every year. Please read this report from Bird Life: http://www.birdlife.org/illegal-killing "Unlawfully shot, trapped or poisoned: a shocking 25 million birds are killed in the Mediterranean region every year", according to a scientific review carried out by BirdLife International. The report also identified the species that are worst affected, with that familiar garden bird Chaffinch topping the 'kill list' with an estimated 2.9 million individuals taken every year. This is followed by Blackcap (1.8 million), Common Quail (1.6 million) and Song Thrush (1.2 million). This last species is a Red Listed Species of Conservation of Concern in Britain, while Common Quail is Amber listed, both due to population declines."

  • Justice for Tinker the Beloved Cat
It is important because on Tuesday 11th of August 2015 our beloved 'Tinker' 'Stevie Wonder' was taken from us in a serious incident involving an old lady in a 4X4 car running over him in front of my own eyes severely injuring him and then after a few seconds killing him. I then confronted the suspect to them fleeing away in their vehicle. Then being confronted by the husband with a lot of bad mouth. Went to give a statement to the police and they said they can't do anything about the cat incident or the fact that she was well over the speed limit in a tight spaced quiet street. I find this very disgusting by the service of the Scottish police and changes should be made and made urgently !! The family was very disgusted by and heartbroken by what had happened HELP US MAKE CHANGE AND MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE !!! Thank you very much for your support !!

  • SAVE HAMPSTEAD HEATH
The objectives of the petition are: 1. Save the Vale of Health and other harmless, ornamental ponds from further unwarranted work, damage and disruption. 2. Hold to account those who, knowingly or not, misled the ten councillors into wrongly believing they were receiving independent advise at the Camden hearing: namely Camden Planning and AECOM. 3. Ensure that an iron-clad version of the 1871 Hampstead Heath Act be passed through parliament so that nothing of this sort can ever happen again. It appears Atkins/AECOM/Bam Nutall have now commenced works on the Vale of Health. Realistically this means only 2 of our 3 objectives are 100% achievable. But we will continue to fight so that those responsible are held to account and this manner of financial exploitation of Hampstead Heath can never happen again. We ask all supporters to continue to promote and sign this petition, which will be read out and submitted at a press conference on the 20th of September 2015. Over 160 trees have been felled and large swathes of protected Heathland destroyed. It's a 4000,000/1 chance but we might still be able to save some of the historic ponds and surrounding natural habitat. Having been misled into believing they were receiving independent expert advice, 6 of the 10 elected councillors at a Camden Council hearing granted permission for large dams and various grass spills to be built on and around the ponds of Hampstead Heath. It turns out the council's supposedly independent advisor, AECOM, had already formed a strategic partnership with Atkins, the civil engineers building the dams and was therefore not independent. AECOM and Camden Council need to be held to account for misleading a council hearing and negligence, respectively. Moreover, the Vale of Health pond and other ornamental ponds could still be saved unnecessary damage and 'parkification' if the Secretary of State for the Environment, Liza Truss, steps in and prevents this scandalous pillage of the Heath. Please sign this petition to halt or, at least, downscale the works on Hampstead Heath. If one pond can be spared, one tree saved, it will mean some justice for Hampstead Heath.

  • Save The Scorries In Caithness
Scorries are as much a part of our community as other animals. The majority of problems and complaints about them are man made, and to ruthlessly kill them all would be a despicable act. Maxine Smith is campaigning to cull all scorries in Invergordon, and we do not want to see this despicable act here in Caithness.

  • Allow microchipping of goats for kinder identification
Goats are very smart and social creatures most are kept as pets and aside from having to tag young kids with small ears and stressing them out these tags are getting caught and are being ripped from the ear. This is very painful and stressful for the animal and leaves a very nasty open wound which can cost a lot in vets fees to have the animal returned to health and avoiding secondary infection. Goats can be microchipped under their tail this is a one off injection no worse than them receiving their vaccinations. This can't be removed and the animal will be identifiable for life there is zero chance of them getting it caught and ripped out. So for all those who want to see a change and help keep our 4 legged goat friends free from pain and suffering please sign and share this petition !

  • Save Brimhay's Woodland Home to Endangered Bats and Dormice
These are highly endangered species and are protected by laws. This wooded valley is a beautiful area and highly valued my hundreds of people in Dartington. It needs protection, not destroying. An alternative community led proposal for housing is available, so destroying the wooded habitat is only for greed not need.

  • Say 'No' to proposed Industrial Chicken Farm in Clearwell, Forest of Dean.
I feel passionate about the care and treatment of all animals, and the thought that 350,000 chickens being kept in such cruel conditions appalls me. Clearwell is in a beautiful location in the Forest of Dean, and an extremely popular area for families to come on holiday. I feel that the obnoxious smells enamating from the broiler units would have a detrimental effect on tourism, and would greatly affect local people. The narrow lanes which would be used to transport the dead birds are totally unsuitable for HGV traffic, and will impact detrimentally on the health and safety of local people.
