  • MAINS GAS FOR INFILL VILLAGES
VILLAGES ALL OVER THE COUNTRY ARE EXPECTED TO PROVIDE EXTRA HOUSING WITH A PARTICULAR REQUIREMENT OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING. FOR SUCH HOUSING TO HAVE MAINS GAS SHOULD BE A RIGHT TO HAVE PAID FOR BY THE DEVELOPERS OF THIS EXTRA HOUSING JUST AS THE SUPPLY OF WATER AND ELECTRICITY IS. GAS IS MORE EFFICIENT FOR HEATING THAN ELECTRICITY AND OIL OR DELIVERED PROPANE IS VERY EXPENSIVE. THIS WILL BE IMPORTANT FOR THOSE WITH YOUNG FAMILIES AND THE ELDERLY IN PARTICULAR. VEHICLES DELIVERING OIL OR PROPANE (CALOR) ARE POLLUTING THE AIR AND CAUSING EXTRA WEAR TO WHAT ARE OFTEN NARROW COUNTRY ROADS AND A MAINS GAS SUPPLY WOULD OVERCOME THESE NEGATIVE ASPECTS COMPLETELY.

  • Keep childrens menus in family pubs
Family need to be able to feel comfortable going out their local pubs for a meal. Children will not learn how to behave in public places such as restaurants and pubs if parents feel that they cant take them into such places. Families like to socialise and celebrate special occasions... usually with family meals out... local pubs need this business.

  • Stop insurers 'auto renew' policy
It is bad for customer choice and competition. It can put customers in debt if they are overdrawn at their bank or on their credit card. Customers are entitled to be in control of their own money - not the insurer There is never a reason given when they increase the premium the following year, and just take the money! Some insurers then charge a fee when you cancel and/or when you renew!

  • Thomson Holidays - Select Your Seat Tax

  • Dont Fund Terrorism
This book is insighting racial and religious hatred which is already rampant in the UK. We have witnessed absurd and horrific attacks but yet as a community, proudly stood out against hatred. This book has many things besides the name and the cover wrong with it. Many Muslims will be against this book promotion in fear that another brainwashed person may attack them. Many Non-Muslims will feel this book may cause radicalisation amongst them as well as cause racial stir and hatred, not mentioning the fact that there may be acts of violence and retaliation. Lets stand together and Unite against all acts of terrorism. Dont help fund Tommy and his fellow brainwashed colleagues. Please sign this petition and help remove the item from sale,as we have contacted Amazon but they will not remove it right away. We should act now with a simple signature on this petition as a community so that Amazon can monitor future products as well as remove this title.

  • Stop Waste Incinerator being built in our community
All the surrounding communities are against this development. There are lots of health risks involved for the people living within a 10km radius of this plant. The plant will be storing waste at the property which is dangerous as it heats up. If this were to catch fire at ground level many people would be forced to ingest the harmful toxins produced. Transport of the Waste to the plant causes another issue, with huge lorries coming and going from the property throughout the day. The company will be self regulated which means they would be responsible for reporting their own breaches to the authorities. In other plants owned by the same company there has been over 1000 breaches recorded. There are lots of reasons why we feel this is not the area for this type of plant and would urge people to support us by Signing the petition. Save our future generations by saying no to incineration.

  • Suspension of arms sales to Saudi Arabia
In Yemen the epidemic of cholera is killing one child every 10 minutes and the death rate will increase. The war with Saudi Arabia prevents the deployment by external charities of medical and food supplies. The ban is intended to demonstrate that the British people hold Saudi Arabia responsible for the worsening situation. Britain shares this responsibility through arms deals and the situation brings discredit on our people on an historic scale. The people must express their horror of this situation.

  • Misleading battery life on consumer laptops
First of all customers are not being misled when making a purchase, secondly, OEMs recognise that inflating specifications to entice the sale of their product against competitors is not acceptable in our informed society and finally no one should be misinformed when they are making a large sum investment. Because some consumers may be spending their savings or taking a credit to make that purchase.
