We are concerned that the pub may be being mismanaged and intentionally run down,marking it as an nonviable concern resulting in possible closure. We feel the Pub has the potential to bring a huge amount of value to the local area, beyond what it could contribute economically. It can provide community infrastructure that would otherwise not exist, bring together neighbours and members of the community that may not otherwise come into contact, and play a part in the heritage and culture of an area. Historically it has supported aspirations of local authorities, by helping to increase individual well being, bring vulnerable, isolated and disparate groups into closer contact, as well as contributing to the regeneration of jobs. Finally, locally six pubs and social clubs have closed, making the Cooksons the only pub left standing along a once vibrant area. If the Cooksons was also to go, then the loss would we feel be a further nail in the coffin for an already stressed and continually disparate community.

A healthy happy life and great place to live is important to us all and deep down we all want our children, families and aged citizens to live in these great places. Arts, culture, music, dance, theatre, community events, entertainment, and access locally, is the only way we can achieve this and many towns and places have already done so. But for decades Taunton has had no venue of a size that attracts big names, its town centre like many have seen decline, the night time economy is minimal, the cultural offer is small, and a high percentage of the population leave Taunton Deane to experience culture elsewhere.  We care about this, we care about Taunton, its quality of life and its future, and we know that this can be changed with an asset that use to be the civic pride of Taunton and that is the Mecca Bingo Hall in Corporation Street (also know as Gaumont Palace).  It’s important we reclaim this building and make Taunton a great place for things to do and live in, that reignites the town centre and night life, that brings people from afar who spend money with local businesses, but more importantly brings great entertainment to Taunton and provides a hub for civic activity and a place for people to meet friends and community.  We intend to make it community focused and will ensure the community can use it to create their own arts and culture. With theatre, comedy, live music, cinema, dance hall, workshops, meeting rooms, conference facilities and rehearsal space it will be a thriving hub for people of all ages and economic standing. Atherton skatepark was recently demolished randomly and out of the blue with no notice or warning what so ever. It was important to each and every single person who uses or did use the skatepark or even anybody who wants to take up extreme sports. The skatepark was much loved by locals and people that are not so local, it kept so many young people out of trouble and off the streets doing something they love! The council have just took that away! PLEASE SIGN AND SHARE THIS PETITION AND LETS GET ANOTHER FACILITY BUILT!

It is very important for parents and carers as they are being charged more by companies at a particular time of year (school Holidays) when the prices are cheaper at other times through the year.

Often especially in local elections people vote for the party not the individual. However too often councillors switch parties or lose the whip. This can change the balance of power on a council and often is against the wishes of the people who voted for them. We need to ensure the integrity of local councils and force a by-election for all switches of alliance.

By removing Abbey Wood's Crown Post Office you are causing the loss of good jobs and services which will hurt the local economy, as well as the rapidly growing numbers of people living in the area especially vulnerable groups - such as pensioners and the disabled. Many services - banking, passport and identity services- can only be provided at Crown (not franchised) Post Offices, and since the nearest, by public transportation, is at Dartford the loss of Abbey Wood Post office would place an unacceptable barrier to many people accessing these services.

The community needs a family friendly and drug free social hub, to enable them to socialise and unwind.

Temple Newsam Park is a free public park to be enjoyed by everyone. Should these plans go ahead, some areas of the park may be restricted, especially entry/exits to the equipment, the noise from participants will spoil the peaceful calm currently enjoyed. Parking is also an issue, especially at weekends - there just arent enough spaces to accommodate this - any new parking areas would mean taking more of the green available space of the park. Road access to the park will be put under further pressure. There is the issue of felling existing trees to make way for this, disturbance to the natural wild life and bird life living in the park. Temple Newsam is beautiful as it is, it does not need enhancing, please sign the petition in support.

Because he's a fucking legend and I believe that not only would he be an excellent addition to the festival, but that he would learn a great deal from it, and it would be for the weird weekends to get an insight into our culture.

The atherton skatepark has been home to hundreds of young and old people who are wanting to learn and develop new skills either it be on a bike,scooter,skates,skateboard or just to make new friends who are interested in the same sports! The skatepark has had a massive influence on the younger generation myself and others that I can vouch for, it's kept myself out of trouble and lead me to do something I love doing! SimSimi has quickly become one of the U.K.’s most popular apps. Yet, this chat-box is often used to bully others. In fact, it allows users to anonymously programme a series of messages – regardless of how abusive, violent or explicit these may be – so that they are received by the targeted victim as soon as s/he logs into the app and searches their name. Due to the anonymity of these messages, it is next to impossible to hold bullies accountable. For these reasons, schools and even police forces in the U.K. have had to resort to sending letters to parents in order to warn them about the app. Even though SimSimi is restricted to people who are 17 years old or older, many children who are much younger than that have been able to download it. Most parents are unaware of the fact that ‘Simi Simi’ is dangerous for their children and that they could be at risk of bullying, which is bound to have serious implications on them. SimSimi must be banned before it causes even more damage. A few years ago the website Ask.fm was banned – but only after a few teenagers had committed suicide following the bullying they experienced using it. We must be quicker this time to ensure the same does not happen again.
