Ban front page political advertising during British election campaignsThese ads are an affront to democracy. In 2015 the Conservative Party bought wraparound front page adverts in newspapers in key marginal seats, including the Lancaster Guardian, Lincolnshire Echo, Eastbourne Herald and Hastings & St Leonards Observer. This undoubtedly influenced the election result. These ads were designed to look like editorial so it appeared that the newspapers were endorsing the political party. This petition is aimed at all political parties and not just the Conservatives. This advertising must stop. It is undemocratic and a threat to the integrity of the press.141 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Ben Westwood

No General Election until resolution of Conservative MP election Fraud chargesA General Election should not go ahead with the prior knowledge that numerous Conservative Members of Parliament "MP's" representing constituencies across the United Kingdom are facing criminal charges relating to election fraud during the last general election. We can not have MPs we know now may be convicted standing for their constituencies in the proposed June 8th general election. The next election should be entered in to only after the MPs identified by the Police and charged by Criminal Prosecution Services "CPS" have faced those charges and the courts have reached a final verdict against all counts raised and each MP charged.158 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Chez Brewster

The BBC to give equal coverage to all political parties during the 2017 general election campaignThe BBC has been accused of biased and unbalanced reporting in the past. As this election campaign is incredibly short it is very important that the public are given a fair and balanced view of their choices. The BBC must not allow itself to be used as a tool of propaganda for any party. As a publicly funded organisation it absolutely must not allow itself to have any political bias.263 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Gavin Smart

No election until tory election expenses reports publishedIt is inconceivable that we have a new election while there are serious questions to be answered about the last one, which could have an effect on this government's majority, and the outcome of a new election. It is reported that there are twenty-nine Conservative party seats which are being investigated for exceeding spending limits, which could result in bye elections in those seats, and which therefore could remove the government's majority. It is clearly absurd to have a government which might not be valid to call another election to justify their possibly invalid previous election. The public deserves to know what actually happened in the last election and it is likely that some, if not many, people would vote differently if they knew that the governing party had acted illegally in the last election. We cannot have another election while the result of the previous one is still open to question, with the possible result that the government has no majority, no mandate and no authority to call another election.436 of 500 SignaturesCreated by Richard Burton

We want Leaders debates on TVPrime Minister Mrs. May announced snap elections in an abrupt way to be held on 8th June 2017. We heard that there will be no leadership debates on this occasion. We have leadership debates in recent years and why not this time. We are passing through a transitional period and our country is facing very serious challenges, we the voters want to listen how our next Prime Minister will deal with the issues of Brixit, making deal with EU, how to protect our economy and interests of the working class. If PM has a concrete agenda to address all these issues, she shouldn't hesitate to participate in live TV debates. Voters have a right to listen their leaders and ask them questions.49 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Nawaz Ahmad

Make May appear in GE TV DebatesOn April 18 Theresa May called for a General Election on June 8 in order to strengthen her Party's position in Parliament, going against the Fixed Term Parliament Act. However, in a bid to avoid scrutiny, she has ruled out appearing in any TV debates, robbing the public of further democratic debate1,046 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Nathan Burns

Drop the voting age to 16 in the upcoming general electionThis is important because our future will be heavily impacted on the outcome of this election and I believe that those 16 and over who want to vote should be able to have a say.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Phoenix Rinkowski

stop young mum being kicked outmy sister turned 21 just days before our mum passed away, now on top of having to come to terms with our loss we have been told my sister and her 2 young children will have to leave their home as it was a council property in my mums name. This just doesn't make sense, she is entitled to a 2 bed council property, that's what shes living in, Corby council want to move her into another 2 bed property and give her house to someone else for absolutely no reason we can find. Not only will this cause stress to my sister and her family it will also involve alot of extra work for the council. How can this be a justifiable way of spending tax payers money?683 of 800 SignaturesCreated by Kayleigh Haines

Protect Climate Change, Environment, Wildlife and Animal Welfare laws and commitments in the UKClimate change and the damage being done to our planet and the natural world should be the number one priority for all of us. We need to work together worldwide to prevent further harm and reverse the damage already done. Many environmental targets have been put at risk by the current position of the US government. It is imperative that the UK government remains committed to these aims and to continuing to work with our friends in Europe and like minded nations and organisations worldwide. Studies and polling also show this is an important factor to millions of eligible UK voters. Protect our planet for all our children.125 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Angela Marston
