Stop pricing small electric cars off the roadSmall electric cars like the Peugeot Ion, Mitsubishi iMiev and Citroën Zero, do not have large enough batteries to use a full 30 minute charge. The maximum range of these cars at motorway speeds is 50-60 miles. Fast chargers only charge the battery to 80%, so that is 40-48 miles. Allow 10 miles probably already in the battery at the start of the charge, and that's 30-38 miles for £6. Compare with an ordinary diesel car, doing about 60 mpg, where each gallon costs about £5.50, and you will see it costs about twice as much to run a small car charged at an Ecotricity charging point as it does to run a diesel car filled at a pump. On the other hand, if you charge the electric car at home, it costs about half as much to run as the diesel (even with full price green electricity).43 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Nikki Locke

Automatic-compensation-train-delaysThe train company is not being discouraged from providing a poor and costly service, as passengers like myself, are too exhausted to go through the laborious procedure of trying to get compensation, after a long tiring journey. Virgin hold onto this money, are not incentivised to invest and improve the service, which leads to continued misery for passengers.7 of 100 SignaturesCreated by John Morgan

Stop HS2It will cost every man woman and child in the UK £780.00 each, assuming it's on budget. There isn't sufficient people that will use the service to make it worth while. The say the trains will hold 1100 people and they will run every 3 minutes, that's 22,000 people per hour. In 10 hours that would be 220,000 where will they all go?30 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Alan Staton

Build A Road From Fort William To CaolFor four months, during the high season there are frequent two mile tailbacks with traffic crawling in first gear and when there are accidents - which are unfortunately way too frequent - the whole of Fort William grinds to a halt for hours on end. This is having a terrible effect on the local economy and on tourism. It could easily be rectified with the addition of an alternative route to Caol. If money can be found to build a second road bridge over the mighty Forth then surely money can be found to build a bridge over the humble River Lochy.1,662 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Dee Sunshine

North Notts and Lincs need a Community Rail PartnershipCommunity rail partnerships (CRP) have been instrumental in achieving spectacular increases in use of rail through innovative marketing, improved services and better station facilities. Their work includes improving bus links to stations, developing walking and cycling routes, bringing station buildings back to life, art and education projects and organising special events which promote the railway and its relevance to the community. Basically its getting more folks to use trains and encouraging them to use bikes, buses and walking and not use their cars. More passengers strengthen the case for more trains and better stations. In our area we have Gainsborough Central, the worst station in the land according to the Times served by three trains week ( in each direction), all on Saturday. GRaB (Gainsborough, Retford and Brigg rail and bus users group) has already achieved much that would normally be done by a CRP, the latest being the publication of the Gainsborough Travel Guide with all trains and buses in the area shown in one simple guide. However there is a limit to the work that can be done by a users group. A CRP recognised by ACoRP and the DfT has a stronger relationship with train companies who are obliged to work with them.90 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Barry Coward

DVLA Car Tax ScamThis has created an additional stealth tax for the motorist whereby the DVLA will collect an additional months road tax for every secondhand vehicle sold. In today's advanced society surely an organisation such as one so large and well funded could work out refunds and charges on a daily rate. This is costing the motorist an additional 20 million pounds a year.6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Chris Getheridge

Please invoke International Law on Ryanair or amend British LawRyanair threatened to leave two disabled octogenarians and myself aged 76 at Malaga airport because we were unable to download inbound boarding cards, which they do not allow to be downloaded before the outbound flight. We could not download them in Spain because we do not own smartphones. We were humiliated at the airport and forced to scrabble around for the cash. The stress has had an effect on all three of us and spoiled what had been a recuperative holiday. Michael O'Leary, the Chief Exec. of Ryanair told me personally that I should have bought on at an internet café or an hotel." Why not just allow them to be downloaded before flying?" I asked him. I have not yet had a reply to this simple question. Many people have been fined in this way and I would like them to sign this petition. I have two letters from O'Leary refusing to return our money.8 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Pat Ruaune

Southern Trains: Deliver a Blanket Refund for Season Ticket HoldersThousands of people rely on Southern Trains to get to and from work everyday. The service in 2016 has been appalling. Season tickets cost thousands of pounds a year, and Southern aren't delivering. Season Ticket holders can claim money back for a delayed train but why should they? Sometimes for as many as 10 trains a week can be late. Yes, every journey to work. Having lost hours of their lives on crowded platforms or crammed in over-packed trains, why would customers then want to waste more time filling out a form accounting for every minute of their journey? Why should they record every moment of their crummy journey home? Just finally catching a train and finally making it home is a relief. Why make them relive it? This is causing strife to thousands. Thousands of late appointments, delayed starts, working lates to catch up. Missed bedtimes. Nurses and doctors unable to get to their patients on time. How do they get money back? Waste more of their time filling out a form. You can't even keep up with processing all the claims, so why try? Stop wasting money on a pointless paper chasing exercise and just give people their money back. Come on Southern Trains, you know your service is rubbish. You know your customers have suffered enough. Do the decent thing, give them a rebate on their season ticket, without them having to ask for it.59 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Robin Brooks

Restrict commercial use of DronesA very small but vocal lobby is pushing another 'innovation' of questionable value through the legislative system. Citizens must be allowed to have the final say on drone use as the air above our heads should not become a playground for the few and be a threat to our health and safety.23 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Heinz Geyer

Aberdeen City Council Is Blocking Aberdeen Royal Infirmary Car Park PlansMany people are not able to use the bus service due to the high costs, or the long waiting times. Also many people are in poor health, and have no choice but to use the car to either attend appointments or visit the hospital. The parking at present is exceptionally poor, and many have to go home without visiting patients as they cannot get parked.5 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Mrs Wood
