• Save William From Being Made Homeless
Because I will be made homeless with no where to go 1 month before Christmas and through the COVID-19 pandemic. I lived at my grandads house for 4 years nearly 5 years and after his death in June 2020 i tried to seek succession of his tenancy with Peabody Trust. I provided them with all the evidence to prove I lived there 12 months prior to his death and that’s exactly what I done. Now Peabody have refused my right to succession on the basis of me being link to one of my parents addresses.

  • Regulations For The Use of Escooters On Public Roads and Pedestrian Walkways
This is important to protect motorists and pedestrian safety. These escooters are silent and appear out of nowhere at very high speed. These scooters are increasingly being used by young adults with no regard for road safety. Many have no lights and driven at night are impossible to see on the Public highway. Many users of escooters drive them with reckless abandonment from pavement to road with no regard for safety. Regulating the use would protect motorists from killing or seriously injuring an escooter user at night time and daytime. Would protect members of the public encountering high speed collisions on the pavement. Would make sure users are aware of the law in regards to using the public highway. These individuals who use these escooters do not have to have any training to use them, no theory tests to be able to protect them and road users. There needs to be a law that protects the public.

  • A speed limit for Hawling
Hawling is a small village in the Cotswolds, based around a narrow winding country lane. Entry to the village at both ends is by a steep downhill road ending in a blind corner. This makes fast traffic hazardous for villagers, particularly families with young children, and for pets and other animal using the road. There is currently no street lighting and no speed limit. A 20mph limit from the 'Hawling' signs at each end would encourage road users - motorists and cyclists - to drive/ride safely and enjoy a picturesque village.

  • Fair interest rates
At this time of the pandemic there must be many people resorting to using credit cards and really are being ripped off. Credit card companies must be making huge profits at the expense of the public's difficulties during these times

  • Request SKY LINK buses to pick up/drop off passengers at Redhill Circle Birstall.
Due to Covid-19 many residents have lost their employment or/are relocated to Leicester or Loughborough. There are new jobs in Leicester, Loughborough, Amazon in Kegworth and East Midland Airport. Most of the advertised jobs require applicant to work shift works and weekends. Sky Link bus which runs through Birstall, every 20 minutes, 7 days a week is the only bus service best suited for above residents to secure and keep their employment. Unlike Leicester (3 stops), Loughborough (6 stops), Kegworth and surrounding (5 stops) Birstall residents are discriminated by your company for providing only ONE stop at Harrogate/Sibson Road Birstall. This stop is nearly more than a mile away for residents living near Redhill Circle. We need additional stop at Redhill Circle for residents. The provision of providing additional stop to Birstall Residents living at lower end of Birstall will NOT cost any additional financing to company and it will benefit to residents and your company as there will be more passengers travelling on this route.

  • RAC - Catalytic converter theft
What to currently expect from the RAC if your catalytic convertor is potentially stollen.....I received a call from my elderly neighbour last night. She had interrupted a man who appeared to be tampering with her car. She was very shaken as the suspect had come onto her property and she had disturbed him. We called the police who took some details and advised that it could be that the suspect was looking to or had stolen the car's catalytic convertor. In other circumstances I may have investigated any damage further myself but faced with a petrified Margaret, and myself having no experience of mechanics or car maintenance and the dark of night I instead called the RAC. Although my neighbour has full RAC cover (Rescue, At Home , Relay, Key Cover...) they would not attend under their membership terms. Instead, they informed me that they would send a patrol at a cost of approximately £130 (payable to the patrol) and if vandalism or theft was confirmed on inspection no further assistance would be given. There have been so many thefts and attempted attempted thefts of these devices recently. This crime could happen to you and as a member of the RAC 'a complete breakdown service' will not help you even to the nearest garage or check your vehicle for safety. For all the people out there like my neighbour, please help me. Please sign my petition to lobby the RAC to show a little love and kindness, change their policy and include potential catalytic convertor theft as attendable within their membership terms. Thank you

  • Allow bounce back loans too ALL businesses not just existing banking customers
The BBLS is fantastic and will certainly save thousands of jobs and businesses if they can access it of course. The fact of the matter is the treasury has told the banks to lend but you have to have an account with the accredited bank. They won’t let you have one. The business is eligible great but that doesn’t mean the bank will give you an account to have the loan. How does that work ? I like 300,000 other businesses can’t access the scheme have been told no new applications or declined for an account not the loan just the account . If the treasury doesn’t open the doors directly we might as well close the business now. This isn’t going to happen the treasury know the problem but won’t act instead just leave it to the banks to decide our fate. Why won’t anyone do anything

  • David Lloyd West End to restore the court opening times to 10:30pm.
David Lloyd West End tennis members continue to pay full fees and have done for months. While we can understand some changes due to Covid, the shutting of the club at 9pm effectively halves the court space available to those who work in the day. Members pay full fees but effectively can’t play most of the time. We don’t want money off, we want to play, so David Lloyd West End, please restore the 10:30pm court opening times.

  • Justice for Black people wrongfully convicted in 70s and 80s Brixton
Petition by Grassroots Black Left (GBL) https://grblackleft.com/ The death of George Floyd at the hands of US police sparked worldwide racial injustice awareness and soul searching, leading ex senior Metropolitan police officer Peter Bleksley to publish an expose in the Sun newspaper, titled “I was part of vile, racist police force that "fitted up" and "beat up" black youths in ‘80s – Brixton Riots were wake-up call”. https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/11838686/peter-bleksley-racist-police-fitted-up-beat-black-80s-brixton-riots/ In it he details how Black people in Brixton were routinely attacked by police and convicted of crimes they had not committed. The devastating effect these attacks and convictions had on the lives of countless law-abiding Black people and their families would have set in motion a spiral of shame, disadvantage and failure that reverberates today. The destructive ripple effect of just one false conviction is significant and we know this practice was “commonplace”; carried out over a sustained period. This abuse was likely indicative of police attitudes across the UK at the time, therefore we do not believe Brixton was an isolated case. Though we support the cathartic confession of Peter Bleksley and thank him for speaking out while other have remained silent – the fact remains that the reputations of countless Black people have been tarnished and bones, families, careers, hearts and lives broken and remain so, with no recompense – just cover-up and a doubling down of police denials. We demand a pardon to restore the dignity of the falsely convicted and financial compensation to go some way towards reimbursing individuals and their families for financial disadvantage suffered. Where questionable cases exist – we demand that they are reopened and assessed by an independent and truly representative body.

  • Delay IR35
Covid 19 has destroyed businesses and made an unprecedented amount of people unemployed. With Brexit and changes to EU employment on the horizon, IR35 will destroy ability to engage short term resource and force that work force into the permanent employment market creating a surplus of people looking for work in an already saturated market. This legislation will create added pressure to the job market and see levels of unemployment reach all time highs.
