Keep the Guard On the TrainThis is a safety critical job, meaning that more customers will feel safe on the railways. Current disputes are going on for no obvious reason, disrupting millions of commuters every week. Have a look at some of the RMT's stories on Facebook and Twitter and see some of the reasons we need to keep our guards.9 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Matthew Davies

Support low pollution road transport fuelWe need to have good alternatives to high polluting fossil fuels. An effective & proven way to support alternative fuels is by lower taxation as we already have with LPG/CNG. Promote cleaner transport fuels that can be used in existing vehicles to dramatically lower pollution by up to 80% per vehicle. Action, not words are needed !5 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Fraser Davies

Stop the BBC giving equal airtime to crackpot climate deniers alongside mainstream scientists.Air pollution, from the burning of fossil fuels, is causing global warming. It is the greatest threat facing humanity. It ill becomes the BBC, or any other broadcaster, to give air time, and therefore legitimacy, to mercenary lobbyists for the fossil fuel industry. They may as well have flat earthers give their view each time anyone suggests the world is a sphere.9 of 100 SignaturesCreated by David Vass

Say NO to a Mega-Prison in Glen Parva. The numbers of people sent to prison in England and Wales are out of control. Prison does not work to address harm, it increases harm. Currently England and Wales have the highest rate of imprisonment in Western Europe, and building more prisons will make this worse. More people will be sent to prison for minor crimes. In Glen Parva, pollution from construction activity will enter the Grand Union Canal and local bat, hedgehog and toad life will be affected. The increase of prisoners will put a strain on local services and infrastructure as it did in Wrexham with HMP Berwyn. Local residents will also be affected by increased noise, light pollution and congestion. The £170 million planned to build the mega-prison should instead be invested in public services, which will benefit the community.15 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Midlands AEN

Housing developments should include green spaces.Gardens are so small these days with property developers squeezing as many houses as possible into an area. Many of our modern developments are some distance from shops, parks, etc, making it necessary to get in a car every time you leave the house. If it is a very large development a community building should be part of the plan complete with 'green' and what about a village pond!10 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Susan Noble

Stop Network Rail destroying trees and wildlife1.To protect wildlife (bats, squirrels, badgers, foxes, birds) 2.Removing oxygen producing plants which contribute to sustaining the local ecosystem will have a negative impact environmentally 3. Removing natural defences (from the sound of the railway to natural flood defences) will have an impact on the homes in and around the planned tree felling area135 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Zoe Wilson

Stop the Windrush generation from being deportedThis is important to me because my cousin is fighting at this moment of time against the government to stay in this country. She came here when she was 12 and lived most her life here. Her mother died and she couldn't go to her funeral. There is so much she wants to achieve for e.g. university and she can't. There is so much more like her struggling in Britain and they need the support.83 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Aisha Abukari

The new 50 pound note to have George Edwin EllisonFirstly, I would like to say that this nation owes everything to the service men and women who have given everything in the defence of the nation. Secondly, if it wasn't for them everything that we know as being British wouldn't have happened without their sacrifice. George Edwin Ellison of the 5th Lancers was born in Leeds, England and was one day away from being safe and surviving the war alive but it was fate that decided, he would have to give all, for his family, friends, and country men to have peace. Lastly, this year is 2018 and its almost been 100 years since George Edwin Ellison laid down his life for us to live in peace, but who was he but a man among meny. The last of our finest, who died in the name of prosperity and peace. I believe that by putting George Edwin Ellison on the new 50 pound note is an amazing way for the nation to remember the people who have given us all.7 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Thomas Dowling
