Because household's are being punished by having reduced refuse collections , expected to increase recycling when a vast amount of these materials cannot currently be recycled. Therefore creating rubbish pollution, fly tipping, vermin and health and safety issues within neighbourhoods.

  • Adoption of a adult
Many people are close to there step parents and would like to make them there legal parent's but are over age of 18 and this does not happen in UK , I believe that anyone should make a decision when they are older to make that choice in life. Some people call there step parents mum/dad but they don't feel like they are your parent . I stand today facing this I have been serving for many years for my step father to adopt me but I am over age of 18 and do not have funds to live and pay for this to happen abroad. I believe we should make our own desisions in life and hope many others do too

  • STOP TRAVEL AGENCIES SUMMER PRICE HIKES
It is unfair that travel companies are able to penalise parent of school age children by hiking the prices during the school holiday period. It is unacceptable to take children out of school and now we are threatened with court action. Our government need to be tightly governing these companies and stop letting them raise the prices so high, therefore affording more parents a chance to take their families away during peak times.

  • NHS: Review inconsistent blood donation policy
    >> How does current policy discriminate against women in relationships with bisexual men? The current guidelines state the following: You must not give blood or platelets for at least 12 months after sex (even if you used a condom or other protective) with... --If you are a man who, in the last 12 months has had oral or anal sex with another man (even if you used a condom or other protective). --(If you are a woman) a man who has ever had oral or anal sex with another man, even if they used a condom or other protective. This means that if a bisexual man has sexual encounters with another man and then enters into a relationship with a woman, within 12 months he can then give blood again. If a woman enters into a sexually active relationship with a bisexual man [A], she can not give blood for the duration of the relationship and for the 12 months after, regardless of the length of time between the male partners last same sex encounter. This will soon be changing to 3 months but still prevents women from donating for the duration of the relationship. This causes situations where a male, who has engaged in "risky behaviour"[B], may be able to give blood long before the woman, who has not, can. This is regardless of whether safe methods are used and whether the woman has undergone screenings for STIs/HIV and becomes a form of discrimination based on gender. >> What needs to change? It is critical that the blood donation process is made as safe and incident free as possible. While many safeguards are controversial, this petition sets out to remove the unnecessary bias directly affecting women in long term relationships with bisexual men. The demand of this petition is simple: That if men are allowed to give blood 12 months after their last sexual encounter with a man, that the same time frame is provided to the subsequent female partners of the man in question. For this to happen, I would ask that: - Current guidelines are reviewed for their consistency towards women - That clear, fair guidelines are communicated to all front line staff to prevent otherwise eligible donors from being turned away >> Why is blood donation important? The NHS requires 6000 volunteers to give blood every day. [1] Blood is used in hospitals to treat conditions such as anaemia and other blood conditions and it is also used during life saving surgery and to treat blood loss after birth [2]. Occasionally blood is also used by scientists to better understand certain conditions. >> My story Despite sympathies from the Nurse, who could fully see my point, I was turned away from the Birmingham City Centre donation clinic on these grounds on the 23 August 2018. I was informed that if my partner wanted to give blood and undergo screening that I would be able to at the same time. This would be fine if every one was able to/desired to give blood and everyone could access the same clinics as their partner but that simply isn't the case for everyone. It is also an additional step that I have to go through that my partner does not for no reason other than my gender. >>Definitions and references [A] I have used the term bisexual male for simplicity but it should be noted that this should refer to the broad spectrum of sexualities and genders for which the same blood donation restrictions apply [B] The term "risky behaviour" is based on NHS terminology and in no way reflects my views on the issues around gay men and blood donation [1] Source: https://www.blood.co.uk/why-give-blood/the-need-for-blood/ [2] Source: https://www.blood.co.uk/why-give-blood/how-blood-is-used/

  • Where Has All The Money Gone That Was Donated To Victims Of The Grenfell Fire?
19 million GBP was donated via the Red Cross charity from the public for the victims of the Grenfell fire. A very small amount has apparently been offered to the victims and the rest of the millions is unaccounted for. The money was donated by the public for the victims and collected by Red Cross charity on their behalf. Where is the rest? We want to know that the red cross have not profited from the horrific fire and call for the red cross charity to be held fully accountable to the general public and every member of the public who made a donation to the fire victims as well as the fire victims themselves.

  • SCHOOL UNIFORM COSTS AND MONOPOLIES
High profit margins and fixed shops with school logo's mean people have no choice but to use designated shop or shops thus limiting choice. For example a jacket at Asda is between 10 and 12 pounds the same jacket with logo is around 40 pounds the profit margins are enormous and it is totally unfair exploitation. Also pre loved jackets donated to schools are then sold for around 10 pounds so schools are on a winner every time. If the badges only cost a couple of pounds to produce why can they not be made available on their own and how much are the schools making out of this ?? This is about freedom of choice as to where you buy a product and the fact that it is in fact a monopoly. Also should a school profit from a necessary item such as uniform??

  • Free Alfie the Yorkshire terrier from his Met police secret captivity!
Last week, Alfie, a tiny, 10-year-old Yorkshire terrier, was cruelly ripped from his elderly owner, 73 year-old, Mrs Claudia Settimo-Bovio, who lives in Kingston, South West London. The Met Police have vindictively claimed, that this small and gentle dog, owned by Mrs Settimo-Bovio since he was a tiny puppy, had chased a large delivery man at the front door, causing him to 'trip'. Oddly, the delivery man, claimed that Alfie, had tried to "kill" him, when all the friendly little dog was trying to do was play. Shockingly, the Met police, raided Alfie's home, last Friday, with full force. Scotland Yard, sent 7 burly policemen, several armed-response officers, 5 police cars and 3 police vans to peace-loving Alfie's address. Alfie was "arrested" by the Met police, who are now holding at a secret address. Alfie's owner, has been traumatized by the experience. All she wants is her doggy companion back. Alfie has never hurt anyone in his whole life. All Alfie's neighbours want him back home immediately. He is seen as the communities and is well-loved by everyone. Send Alfie back home. It is important that Alfie the dog, is returned to his owner as soon as possible, because, he and Mrs Settimo-Bovio have never been parted before in their lives. By all accounts, Alfie is a darling dog, who wouldn't hurt a fly. I am a dog lover and so is Britain. This could happen to anyone who owns a beloved pet. The public insist that the Met police, send Alfie back to his human mother for both their well-being. Alfie needs to be returned to his loving family now, and not in a month's time when there will be irreparable damage to his psyche.
