Remove Licences to Registered Fox HuntsIn light of recent events, most notably that of an incident involving the Cury Hunt which led to an elderly couple and their dog being attacked by hounds on a Cornish beach, we ask that the National Trust revoke all licences given to Hunts to use their land. In regards to fox hunting, The National Trust state that "Following the Hunting Act of 2004 we grant licences for trail hunting, ie the following of an artificially laid scent, where this is compatible with local circumstances. However it is clear that the majority of hunts continue to hunt illegally under the guise of 'trail hunting'. An organisation that works for the conservation of wildlife and the safeguarding of nature should not stand by and allow their land to be used for illegal activities. End All Hunting on National Trust LandThere is too much evidence that illegal hunting is taking place on National Trust Land. The National Trust should stop issuing licences to hunts unless all hunting activity on National Trust Land is independently monitored to ensure that no illegal hunting is taking place. That National Trust should be supporters and upholders of the law. 84% of the public to not want to see a repeal of the hunting act.870 of 1,000 SignaturesCreated by Edward Baker

Stop the Closure of South West Community HospitalsIt's being recommended that four cottage hospitals - Dartmouth, Paignton, Ashburton and Bovey Tracey - in South Devon are to close. At a time when there is a shortage of hospital beds and lack of alternative care arrangements for patients ready for discharge from major hospitals in the South West this decision is perverse and needs to be challenged46 of 100 SignaturesCreated by David Millar

Call to MPs from all sides to support Margaret Greenwood on 24 FebruaryWe call on MPs of all parties to attend the Commons on Friday morning, 24th February 2017 when Private Members' bills are debated and to support Mrs Margaret Greenwood MP for Wirral on her moving that the National Health Service she is promoting be read a second time. Last summer it was 'talked out' when MPs who objected to the Bill prevented by parliamentary procedures a vote which would have kept it alive. The Bill's importance lies in its aims: 1. to re-establish the Secretary of State for Health's legal duty as to the NHS in England 2. to make provision about the other duties of the Secretary of State in that regard 3. to make provision about the administration and accountability of the NHS in England 4. to repeal Section 1 of the NHS (Private Finance) Act 1997 and Sections 38 and 39 of the Immigration Act 2014, and Part 9 of the Health and Social Care Information Act 2012 It would end so much of the drive for the marketisation of the NHS. It would begin to give us back OUR NHS. Margaret Greenwood MP has taken over the promotion of the successor to the similar measure which was put forward two years ago by Caroline Lucas, MP for Brighton.27 of 100 SignaturesCreated by David Owen

Camden Council - recognise non-wheelchair-bound disabled people for council tax reduction.Disability has a massive financial impact on many disabled people - not only those who are wheelchair bound. Camden Council need to recognise this. In my case, being unable to work, having adaptations made to my home and living essentials, and having to be cared for around the clock did not make me eligible, simply because I do not use a wheelchair. This short-sighted and archaic view of disability has no place in the 21st Century.6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Aidan Stevens

Protect trade union secondments at Portsmouth City CouncilPortsmouth City Council is proposing to slash the funding for trade union secondments, funds which release trade union representatives from their day jobs in order to represent members, offer guidance and negotiate on behalf of all Council staff. Portsmouth City Council is legally obliged to pay trade union reps for the time they spend representing the workforce, but properly funded secondments simplify arranging time off and cover. By slashing secondment funding the Council will increase costs, create long delays in resolving workplace issues and expose themselves to legal challenges. The trade unions themselves have offered to negotiate with the Council and put forward their own suggestions for reducing costs but these were rejected. It is a false economy as by removing from the budget the relatively small costs of providing the secondments, the Council will increase its overall expenditure. They will be exposed to costly Employment Tribunal and personal injury claims which would otherwise have been prevented through the guidance and involvement of seconded representatives; statutory formal procedures will take longer to complete as the Council fails to find trade union stewards available to participate; collective agreements formed by employer and trade unions on behalf of the staff, which benefit both the Council and the employees, will not be reached as trade union representatives are unlikely to be easily released by their local manager to work on these or get their existing work covered in their absence. At a time of unprecedented job losses in the public sector the Council wants to remove the protection, reassurance and independent advice that Council staff receive from their trade unions. Portsmouth City Council is one of the largest employers in the city, it needs it seconded trade union representatives to function. By signing this petition you can show your support for the Portsmouth City Council staff and their elected trade union representatives and help us fight this politically motivated attack by the Council.333 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Portsmouth City Council UNISON,UNITE,GMB

Say No to 8am-8pm Parking ExcessParking enforcement will have a field day - but residents, visitors, parents doing the school drop, faith groups and businesses will lose out. This 365 days a year of severe parking control is a money making venture by the council. Broad Green is over-built and this is causing congestion - the council is penalising residents when it is to blame.735 of 800 SignaturesCreated by Theloisproject Womenshealth

STOP HOSPITALS REQUIRING PASSPORTS BEFORE TREATMENTMany of our poorest, and the long-term sick will not have these. They have no use for them if they are too sick to travel and are often too poor to afford them thanks to cuts. A close friend of mine, whose chronic ill health stems from an injury she sustained whilst teaching in a state school, has neither the use for or the means to pay for either a passport or a driver's license. Keep the Riverside TavernThe Riverside Tavern has been in Strood for as long as I can remember it's a safe haven for the LGBT community, Our night life is dying out here in Medway and this is to date the biggest LGBT venue in Kent. Without the Riverside tavern the LGBT community will be forced to go elsewhere including places that would or could potentiaonally not be safe for them to go!, Our customers feel welcomed and safe here at our venue and therefore the council should keep the riverside tavern as it is and work out a way of building around us instead of moving us on.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Blake Wood

LevenMouth Return our Railway to LevenThere used to be an extensive railway around Levenmouth. The tracks of this rail network still exist. Until very recently the coal trains ran to the power station in Leven. The railway was removed in favour of car transportation and since then this has left the town economically stranded and has had a detrimental effect on the community. To date people living in Leven are by far the largest urban concentration in Scotland not served by direct rail links. The line is intact, unlike others which have been granted meaning that the costs would be vastly reduced in repair. We only have very poor alternative transport modes, especially road, despite the very large population and industrial base. We have significant growth in housing and thus population which is not served by necessary infrastructure. We are terribly affected by being cut off. I have not been able to sell my house in seven years despite it being a period property in the town centre, the crisis made worse by low employment opportunities in the area. The return of a railway would constitute a green alternative to constantly building roads and cars thereby lessening the climate impact. As a coastal and golfing town, we have much to offer families and visitors as we did before our railway was taken away without our consultation. We need our trains back.13 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Wendy Erskine

Carved sculptures for St. James' Park/City FarmWhile such sculptures have been located at various sites around Gloucester, including more than a dozen at Robinswood Hill County Park, funding has instead been expended at St. James' Park on an handful of exercise frames that attract little interest, and poorly secured litter bins that are prone to vandalism. Carved sculptures, it can be seen at those other sites, instill a real sense of community pride, while being more resistant to both theft and vandalism (which happened to two light benches in the community garden over a year ago, leading to the City Farm locking the garden up, threatening prosecution on 'trespassers', and not replacing the seating). A carved Gloucestershire Old Spot in the park would send a clear message that this rare bit of open green space in the ward has not been overlooked, encouraging and inspiring recreational activities throughout the community. I would ask residents of Barton & Tredworth and the city in general to support this petition, and promote it to TETRA and our city/county councillors, whenever possible.6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Joe Kilker

Make the children Rainbow clubs available to boys. It's well known that more and more children are coming out as being transgender. This can happen from an early age. Stopping a child being what they feel they are inside can have terrible consequences for their future. Children need to be allowed to explore who they want to be. The girlguides are stopping boys doing this.33 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Shakira Sandford
