Improving the facilities and dropping the rents would hopefully entice traders back, and stop those we have from leaving. These are the first two things we need in order to save our dying market !!!

In the last five years, the number of students seeking help has risen 106% at Bristol University. This is double the average across the UK! Although steps have been made, this is not enough!!! Since 2016, 11 student have taken their own lives and yet Bristol students still have the longest wait time for mental health services across the nation. Surely we deserve better. After all, we are all paying for this, one way or another...

Homelessness has risen by 128%. There are 6,182 potential beds available. 55 deaths in December on average. Therefore if less than 1% of students choose to opt in these deaths would be wholly avoidable. It will provide a warm bed during the coldest, bleakest months. You could save a life by ticking a box

Stubhub is currently Viagogo’s only competitor in the UK for ticket reselling. If Viagogo takes over Stubhub, Viagogo will have no competition when it comes to reselling tickets online. That means fans will only have one place to shop if they miss out on a sold out event. This should be stopped. Viagogo makes huge profits by capitalising on high demand on sold out events, and was recently investigated by the CMA for misleading customers. If they’re the only company in the UK reselling tickets, more and more fans will have no choice but use Viagogo. The Competition Markets Authority can stop this takeover happening. If they intervene in this deal, it could mean that fans have a customers and fans have better choice when trying to get tickets to their favourite concerts and events.

Our local UK wildlife are desperate for a bit more space (we already knew this but they have proved it even more). As soon as we were all tucked away, UK mammals, birds & insects were breaking out into the suddenly quieter spaces. There’s urban land to spare - all around us - and we can decide to transform it into lush colourful spaces... With 100,000s of these patches of grass land being available, 'wildscaping' them will improve the quality of human life for those in all regenerated areas (having a positive socio-economic impact too) AND have an immense environmental impact across our United Kingdom.

Abellio, which operates the Greater Anglia rail franchise is proposing to reduce the catering provision on its service between Norwich and London Liverpool Street. Currently the majority of trains on this route have a buffet car service and during the week many trains have an additional trolley catering service. Under the proposals, a number of weekday and Saturday services would no longer have a catering provision, and no catering at all would be provided on a Sunday. The proposals would also lead to the buffet car being closed for periods during journeys. The RMT firmly believes that these proposals are about maximising profit and will have a negative impact on passengers who value the presence of catering facilities on intercity routes. Between 2014 and 2018, Abellio, which is owned by the Dutch state railways made a profit of £85 million on the Greater Anglia franchise, and paid out a massive £61 million in dividends to its shareholders. The RMT is also concerned that if these proposals go ahead, Abellio will attempt to cut the catering provision even further. In fact, it has done so before – it axed the trolley service on the Stansted Express route. The RMT is calling on Abellio to halt these cuts and commit to retaining the current level of catering provision on its Intercity Service.

Election TV events like debates and interviews are important in making sure all party leaders face the same amount of scrutiny, so viewers can have all the facts when they vote. This election has seen several instances of leaders not getting the same coverage - with Boris Johnson not having an Andrew Neil interview like other leaders did, and leaders not turning up to the climate debate. In Canada and the USA there are bodies that organise any leaders’ debate to make sure that they are fair. In the UK, party leaders and channel execs negotiate directly - meaning parties with more power end up with the upper hand. If we set up a body we can ensure in future elections all election debates and party leader interviews are fair.

There are some 14 accesses and 6 frontages over this short distance. On the North roadside are two cottages the front doors of which are within 4 metres of the road edge with no pavement. On the South side is a path which is so narrow it is unsafe for pedestrians being passed by lorries doing 50mph creating a suction force tending to pull the less strong, dog walkers, children walking to the bus stop and baby carriages towards the road itself.

Multinational company ISS took over the contract at the Homerton to provide domestic, catering, portering and security services. They committed verbally at the time (01/10/15) to paying staff the London Living Wage as part of their bid to win the work. Staff who were working for the previous company transferred to ISS and at the time were paid the same as NHS staff. They also retained their previous terms and conditions which closely resembled those of NHS staff. Since this time, wages have fallen relative to the London Living Wage and to NHS staff. Both groups earn less than the London Living Wage of £10.75 per hour. ISS must honour its contract with Homerton Hospital and pay its staff the London Living Wage. The London Living Wage is based on what people need to live on. No-one should be below this level! Catering, portering, domestic and security staff are essential to the safe running of the hospital and should be treated properly and paid a fair rate. In addition, staff on ISS' standard contract don’t get even get proper sick pay or a higher rate for weekend working like their colleagues who transferred from the former company. Our demands: We believe these staff are essential to the functioning of our hospital and NHS, and that: · ISS must honour its contract with Homerton Hospital by paying a minimum of the London Living Wage (LLW) to all staff, increasing it every November in line with the increase in the LLW, and backdating increases to November 2017 when staff wages first fell behind the LLW · ISS should also implement the NHS pay rise which many outsourced staff have received this year, including ISS staff in Liverpool Royal Infirmary and Liverpool Broadgreen Hospitals · The LLW and NHS rates are the absolute minimum ISS should be paying its staff; shift enhancements and unsocial hours payments are on top of the basic hourly rate, not included in it · We understand that ISS has also agreed improved terms and conditions for staff at BEIS, including improved sick pay and annual leave. We call for staff on ISS contracts to have the same terms and conditions as staff on former Medirest contracts, including getting proper sick pay and annual leave entitlements · The best value for the Homerton Hospital, and the best conditions for staff, would be for the contract to be brought back in house

Boreham Parish Council have announced they are going to charge Small Steps Pre-school to continue to use the small children's play area at the back of the village hall. They say that even though Small Steps is a registered charity they must contribute towards the upkeep of the area as they are a business. Small Steps has used the playground for over 10 years and have always allowed others to use the playground at all times. I believe that it is vital for children's health and wellbeing to spend time outdoors exercising.

It is vital that the Social Club is retained for community use and not sold out from underneath the community by trustees who appear to have no concern for the interests or well-being of local people. A community led association, providing much needed affordable facilities and services to the community would bring considerable benefit to the local community.

It is important to Mick as he enjoys his job & the interaction that it gives him with the local community. It is important more now than ever as he has just lost his wife & this helps him to move on a little bit & keep himself busy. But it is important to the community especially the parents & their children who cross with him to get to school. He ensures their safety on which is a dangerous junction otherwise. People are being put at risk while he is not there & the children miss seeing him as it is part of their daily routine
