Holiday lets are ripping Scotland’s communities apart. In some places, there are now more holiday lets than normal homes for rent. That means families with nowhere to go are forced out of the places they’ve called home all their lives. But it doesn’t have to be like this. The Scottish government are asking the public for views on what to do about holiday lets, and together we can make sure we win real protections for our communities. The big lobbyists protecting companies like Airbnb will be working double-time to stop any new regulations that could hit their astronomic profits. It’s down to us to drown them out.

As part of the new development the developers have suggested the trees will stay, however as I am training to be am architect and currently work in a practice myself I know that there are ways and means to get around this to build more houses and fell the trees. We need to prevent this by signing this petition to get the woodland protected and get a TPO on them trees! Think of the cleaner air we get Think of the foxes, squirrels, woodpeckers, hedgehogs and many other animals that are allowed to roam the woods free from human disruption.

We are all concerned that whereas investment into The Shore has led to improved infrastructure and the establishment of community magnets like Custom House and Leith Market, our neighbourhood continues to be damaged by the water’s neglect.

This is important to me and a lot of of patients.. I have been attending this surgery for the past 10 years and have built up a strong bond and trust these guys with my life. My daughter, autistic and severe Learning disabilities has also attended here for the past 7 years. She trusts the doctor she sees on a regular basis and is really comfortable going. This is something that will completely change if we have to move. I will not be able to get her to the doctors due to her anxiety and behavioural issues. This is a huge disappointment not only for my family but many of other families in situations like myself. Realistically, how are alternative surgerys in Shrewsbury going to accommodate nearly 4,000 patients? People are struggling as it is to get appointments with their gps, the closure of Whitehall is going to add pressure and majorly effect other gp surgeries in Shrewsbury.

The bee population is essential to us all. The use of bee harming pesticides needs to stop.

This is one of the last remaining trees of it's kind in eastbourne and has stood proudly for at least years, survived 2 world wars and now the freeholder of our building is trying to get it removed. None of the 7residents in my house want this too happen!!

1. Construction of the Northern Bypass requires development across an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and could cost in the region of £1 billion.[1] £8 million has been wasted on the scrapped Upper Orwell Crossings project.[2] We don't have time/money to waste on building more roads. 2. SCC’s pension committee invests in Shell[3], one of 25 entities identified by the Carbon Majors Report as responsible for 51% of all greenhouse gas emissions since climate change was officially recognised.[4] By 1988 Shell knew, or should have known, of the destabilising effects of its products[5], but nonetheless expanded, while renewables saw relatively little investment. 3. Verges must be managed to promote birds, insects and plants, which are essential components of the natural systems supporting life. There are nearly half a million kilometres of rural road verge in the UK – that's equivalent to half our remaining flower-rich grasslands and meadows [6] and is a vital refuge for bees, butterflies and birds. Improper management annihilates wildflowers and the habitat and food these areas could provide to wildlife. Testing found British rivers to be contaminated with insecticides and revealed the River Waveney on the Suffolk/Norfolk Border to be the worst polluted in the UK, exceeding the acute harm level for a month.[7] Developments which destroy remaining habitat are often being allowed. All of this contributes to a dangerous situation in which life is being wiped out. 4. The air in Suffolk is so toxic that it is breaking the law.[8] Air pollution is recognised as a contributing factor in the onset of heart disease, lung conditions and cancer.[9] Figures reveal the emergency hospital admission rate for asthmatic children in Suffolk to be higher than the national average.[10] Modelling has estimated that across Ipswich in one year air pollution was responsible for the equivalent of 63 excess deaths.[11] The annual health cost to society of the impacts of particulate matter alone throughout the UK is estimated at around £16 billion.[12] Air quality needs to be dealt with through measures in line with urgently halting emissions, such as improving public transport, enabling safe bicycle travel, introducing car-free zones and supporting facilities that reduce people's need to travel, such as local village shops. 5. The Suffolk Coast & Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is a stunning landscape including Ramsar protected wetlands, sites of special scientific interest, and the renowned Minsmere Nature Reserve which is one of the most important wildlife sites in Europe.[13] This area must remain protected. 6. Emissions need to stop urgently — so new homes should be zero/low emission. 7. Citizens’ Assemblies – representative samples of people selected at random from the population, coming together to examine evidence, challenge the experts and hear what various interest groups have to say – have been deployed to deal with controversial issues from law and order to reduced fossil fuel use. Taking the debate about our future outside a parliamentary bubble and into the community has proved successful and Citizens' Assemblies are being established throughout the UK from Scotland[14] to Lambeth Council[15]. A situation exists where for at least 10 years Ipswich has had illegal levels of pollution. Given the serious health implications of this for the people of Suffolk, particularly children and older people, a Citizen's Assembly is urgently needed here. References: 1. The cost of vet's bills in the UK have been steadily on the increase in recent years and have now reached an all time high. The Association of British Insurers (ABI) reported that in 2018 pet insurance claims had increased by 5% from the previous year, with an average claim being £793. This is clear evidence of the high level of fees, as most insurance policies only pay-out a proportion of the total bill. These prices are simply not affordable for a huge proportion of pet owners. If prices continue to rise at this rate, the risk is that responsible animal lovers will make the decision not to replace their beloved pets when they take their final journey to the "Rainbow Bridge". This means there is a risk of increased numbers of stray cats and dogs in the UK, who will be euthanised. Vets need to review their pricing structure in order to make good pet health accessible to all.

Two of the three local authorities involved in scrutinising these plans have rejected them and referred them to the Secretary of State for Health, Matt Hancock MP.  Respected local health professionals believe they will result in irreversible harm to the health of the population served by Southend Hospital and must be stopped now.  Many local residents have expressed deep concerns over the plans and made their feelings clear during the consultation process.  Chief Executive of the three hospital Trusts in mid and south Essex, Claire Panniker, along with her management board, have unilaterally decided that they can wait no longer for the outcome of the referral process and are initiating changes set out in the referred STP plan. Any reasonable person would expect a complete cessation of changes pending the decision of the Health Secretary. The Trust's management risk squandering vast amounts of NHS funds with their gung-ho attitude on changes that may ultimately be refused permission to take place.

The local community surrounding the Limehouse Triangle continue to object to the development that the council want to build on this small green triangle of land. The land forms part of a green corridor from Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park to Limehouse Basin. Originally a designated green initiative by Tower Hamlets Council as part of their biodiversity plan for the Borough in 2000. This was wholly supported by Mayors Joe Ramanoop and Denise Jones, funded by the Council, Metropolitan Police and in kind by local businesses. It received the support of the local Council Housing Office, the Council Regeneration Team, Tower Hamlets Environment Trust and Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park via Terry Lyle. This project was a huge success. In 2015 residents noticed that the council had started to neglect the site. (All details on the website). Draw your own conclusions ....we are not naive! We agree more social housing is needed, we are non-partisan. We agree, but not at a cost to the existing community’s quality of life, health and wellbeing and certainly not at a cost to the environment and bio diversity. This little green triangle nurtures and enhances! Air pollution and Low Omissions are high on the Mayor of London’s agenda, all political parties are concerned about it too! In fact, in April 2017 the London Mayor Sadiq Khan announced a 2019 date for the introduction of London’s Ultra Low Emissions Zone, however, Tower Hamlets Council plan to take away one of the few urban green spaces from the Locksley Estate community; Limehouse Triangle! This community is located metres away from one of East London’s busiest arteries, the A13, so the need for green space and clean air is of the greatest importance. When it’s gone, it’s gone but we have a Plan Bee! Support us! Support the environment! Support Plan Bee!

The nation, and in fact the world, is constantly being told to recycle more, yet Kirklees council makes it neigh on impossible for households to recycle as much as they possibly could. The future of the planet is at stake here and we’ll all need to try our best to ensure it’s there for future generations.

Dear Mr Radford, We, the members of the communities of Uffculme and Willand, strongly object to the proposed expansion of Hitchcocks Business Park [32 hectares (80 football fields) of agricultural/Greenfield land]. We have objections on four grounds: (1) The plan stands in stark contrast to county and national policies to avoid building on Greenfield land and contrasts bluntly to recent promises of working towards a zero emissions economy. (2) The plan would contribute to a permanent change to the character of the local area: from rural tranquillity to an industrial landscape. Especially when combining this plan with the proposed development of 70 hectares [175 football fields] at junction 27; (3) It would negatively impact on road safety; with special concern for the junctions leading to and from Uffculme School, and (4) It would unquestionably have a negative impact on community health and wellbeing with an additional 700 cars and 60 lorries going in and out of Hitchcocks with their fumes, light and noise.
