Abinger Common forms an important part of the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Its widely spread out clusters of dwellings set in rolling countryside are an excellent example of the openness and beauty of the ideal Green Belt settlement. It also contains a Mesolithic pit dwelling that is testament to the many centuries of human habitation. The imposition of boundaries would facilitate the removal of Abinger Common from the Green Belt and thereby also "development in depth" of housing across an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that should be preserved for the nation to enjoy.

Over the past 80 years, the pub has been a significant venue within the area and has been a place where many community members have socialised, built lasting friendships and relationships. It has been a place where live music chimed the ears of local people too.

The environmental impacts would be devastating for wildlife found on the west coast. The West Coast of Jura is a truly unspoilt wilderness. The Scottish Government have continually requested for drug policy control to be devolved to Holyrood from Westminster, which would enable them to introduce their own policies. They have been told NO every time because our pain and suffering is worth far too much to the politicians in Westminster who continue to control cannabis with unfair laws for their own personal gain. We are having to stand by and watch the UK boast at being the biggest distributer of cannabis medicine in the world while they tell us it has no medicinal value. We need the Scottish Government to take the lead and stand up to these politicians in Westminster not just for the people of Scotland, but for every person in the United Kingdom who is suffering at the hands of the cruel and unfair laws that are currently being used to control cannabis. If Scotland make the change the rest will have to follow. Access to cannabis clubs and decriminalisation of home growing is essential and what we need the Scottish Government to introduce immediately. There are hundreds of clubs already operating in the United Kingdom giving vulnerable people a friendly and safe place to learn about, and access fully tested cannabis from others who have vast experience and knowledge on the subject. The stress that is caused by buses not arriving, children being late for school and not being able to get home on time, will all impact on both their academic achievement and their emotional well being, both which will have long term effects on their place in society and society itself.

It is the last remaining bank in the Hope Valley, Derbyshire. Without it many people will have to travel to Sheffield to visit a branch. The demographic of the Hope Valley is such that many of the residents are elderly and the public transport is very limited. At a time when we are all being urged to use less energy I find it unbelievable that people would be expected to make a 20 to 30 mile round trip just to visit a bank. Also, as the RBS was bailed out by the government it 'belongs' to all intents and purposes to we the taxpayers and so adds insult to injury making us expend time and fuel to get to a bank. I personally have banked at RBS Hathersage since leaving school over 40 years ago and am indignant at having to go elsewhere. Online banking has been proven time and again to be unsafe - the hackers are usually ahead of the security programmers! So come on - Save Our Bank!

We are calling for Brighton & Hove City Council to take action to reduce the amount of litter spoiling the city’s beaches. At present, too little has been done to keep beachside rubbish to a minimum. Bins are few and far between, with many lacking covered tops on beaches where strong winds and seagulls have no problem scattering even properly discarded rubbish across the pebbles. Although there are recycling bins between the piers, they are poorly signposted, reducing the likelihood of people making the effort to sort their rubbish and leading to recyclable materials heading straight to landfill. Litter that ends up in the ocean doesn’t degrade quickly; most plastic debris will persist in the environment for centuries and may be transported far from its source, including great distances out to sea (Li, 2016). Even cigarette butts, the most prevalent litter item across the world, take years to break down in the sea (NOAA). Aside from changing the way we burn through single-use packaging and plastics, the best way to prevent them from reaching the ocean is to implement better waste-collection and recycling - we call on Brighton and Hove City Council to deliver this. Beyond the environment, litter on the beach is an aesthetic blight in a city reliant on drawing in tourists - Brighton & Hove attracts over 8.5 million visitors a year and tourism contributes an estimated £780 million into the local economy (BHCC website, 2014). If people are put off visiting by litter-strewn beaches, the city’s economy - and its people - will suffer. The cost of improving the beaches will pay off, making Brighton a more pleasant place to visit and contributing to our most important industry.

When construction company Carillion went bust earlier this year, work on our new hospital stopped. Right now people in Liverpool are without the world-class healthcare they were promised. Now we need the government to step in and finish the job. We need some joined up working on this, not political posturing. We currently have a half completed state of the art hospital standing empty while patients are being treated and cared for in the old hospital. Witnessing how our existing facilities continue to be patched up to provide as decent a service as possible, it becomes more apparent that the make do and mend approach is no longer workable. A new 'almost complete' facility is only several hundred meters away. A conversation I had with members of staff this week highlights how frustrated they are at the lack of progress and how difficult it is to explain temporary change to many patients, particularly the elderly. All we want is what was promised, a clean, safe hospital fit for the 21st century. The Government have announced they will fund the completion of the failed Carillion build hospital in the Midlands, they should do the same for the people of Liverpool too. A coordinated approach to funding and completing the building needs to be a priority for the Government.

I think there isn’t a person in this country that feels the latest pay deal we received was in anyway adequate and this was following a pay freeze for several years. Now to add insult to this our trust has decided to massively increase the cost for staff to park onsite using the cloak of “being green” as a reason. The alternative to parking onsite is a park and ride based in Fontwell - for many of us if we used this system would actually be travelling further every day - how green is that?? Also this would add a significant amount of time to an already long and arduous day.

Do you want to save Tarporley's precious, affordable retirement flats, Oathills Lea? Where will our elderly population go, if this complex is closed or sold off by Weaver Vale Housing Trust? Oathills Lea is currently under review and its residents are worried sick, as you can imagine. Built in 1970, Oathills Lea has 23 retirement flats for residents aged 50 and over. It is the perfect location, especially for the less mobile residents and those who no longer drive. The bus stop is just 100 yards; the Co-op 250 yards; post office 250 yards; village centre 100 yards; doctors 0.5 mile(s). All of this helping our older villagers maintain their independence. Oathills Lea is the only accommodation of it's sort in the village. Not only is it made up of individual flats, but there is a communal area where the residents congregate in the afternoons to socialise with each other. Many of it's former and current residents have always lived in Tarporley and others have sold their homes and moved here to be closer to their families. None of us want to be evicted from our homes and it is putting the more vulnerable villagers under immense pressure and stress. What will Oathills Lea be replaced with ? Weaver Vale Housing Trust, recently you were promoting the flats as a "Home for Life". Why have you gone back on your word ? Why aren't you filling the empty flats, when given the ageing and increasing population of Tarporley and the surrounding villages there is probably a demand for them ? The road is extremely busy many drivers exceed this limit , even driving at 40 mph doesn’t allow residents to enter and exit their properties in a timely and safely manner . There is a high incidents of accidents on the road . The traffic cause vibration through residents properties . Many other main busy roads in and out of Birmingham city centre have been reduced to 30 mph It is about time this road was changed .
