• Safe pedestrian crossing needed at Granville Road and Summer's Lane junction
Currently there is no pedestrian crossing at this fast and busy junction and people are putting themselves in danger by dashing across the road. Many of these pedestrians are school pupils of The Compton School and Wren Academy and users of Finchley Memorial Hospital as well as many mothers with young children. The lack of crossing also means people are standing in a highly polluted area for long periods of time. Barnet Council and TFL are prioritising 'traffic flow' over the safety of people.

  • Come on Salfordians. A last attempt to tempt investors to revamp the Gas works
There is growing Concern by a lot of Salfordians that this iconic cast-iron structures that many generations have grown up with will no longer be there!. There are many great examples around the UK of how they have been redeveloped into housing, public and community usage. In a sympathetic and artistic eye pleasing manner. Like the one in the photograph. In alot of Salfordians eyes they should be saved and redeveloped instead of just being demolished so the land can be built on for another high rised apartment block, in Salford So come on SALFORD, too many of our historic landmarks have been demolished to build high rise unaffordable apartment blocks , we need to join together and hopefully stop this from happening before its too late as this is a historic sites. This great historic landmark need to be saved for all of Salford to admire for generations to come.

  • EpiPens
Many people now have severe allergies, and exposure to the allergen can cause violent anaphylactic shock which, if untreated rapidly, can lead to death very quickly. EpiPens, injectors of adrenaline, usually in 0.3mg doses, manufactured in the USA by Mylan, a subsidiary of Pfizer, have had their price "hiked" by the manufacturers by over 500% since 2007. They have reduced production significantly as other manufacturers (Bausch+Lomb, maker of Emerade, and ALKAbelló, maker of Jext) cannot make up the shortage. With the increased demand, they are experiencing difficulty stabilising the adrenaline for the injectors. Many people with severe allergies are having significant problems getting adrenaline injectors from pharmacies. The Jext are prescribed more than EpiPens largely because of the price hike by Mylan, whose disgraceful action on a drug device without which people with, for example, a severe nut allergy, could die within minutes appears to cause them no guilt whatsoever. ith the increased demand, they are experiencing difficulty stabilising the adrenaline for the injectors. Pharmacies in the UK are being limited to ordering only two per day. Many users, particularly children need several injectors on prescription and cannot get them. Mylan, manufacturers of Epi-pens have fleeced their vulnerable customers, playing Russian Roulette with their lives. Despite pressure from US government, they haven't reduced the price. All they have done is to play public relations with offers which are meaningless and cost them little. Mylan increased financial assistance available for some patients to purchase EpiPens, a gesture that was called a "classic public relations move" by Harvard Medical School professor Aaron Kesselheim. The up to $300 saving cards can only be used by a small number of people who need the drug, and no one on Medicaid. They do nothing about the high price which is still being paid by insurers, who ultimately pass the cost onto consumers. In September 2016, the New York State Attorney General began an investigation into Mylan's EpiPen4Schools program in New York to determine if the program's contracts violated antitrust law[91] and the West Virginia State Attorney General opened an investigation into whether Mylan had given the state the correct discount under the Medicaid Drug Rebate Program and subpoenaed the company when it refused to provide the documentation the state requested. In October 2016 the CEO of Mylan testified to Congress that Pfizer/King charged Mylan about $34.50 for one device. In September 2016, a Silicon Valley engineering consultancy performed a teardown analysis of the EpiPen and estimated the manufacturing and packaging costs at about $10 for a two-pack. In the meantime, a world-wide shortage of adrenaline auto-injectors is causing untold worry to anyone vulnerable to anaphylaxis. The UK Government must ask the US Department of Health to force Mylan to reduce their prices to pre-2007 levels and increase their production to its former rate.

  • Save Reginald House and Tidemill Garden!
Lewisham council are planning to demolish Reginald House and Old Tidemill Wildlife Garden – if their plans go ahead, the residents will lose their homes and a unique community wildlife garden will be destroyed. We want the plans to be re designed in partnership with the community. The plans CAN be redrawn to build the same or more social homes, but keep Reginald House and Tidemill Garden. Our community demands: *Refurbish Reginald House, give residents a ballot* Reginald House residents have good homes, but council has refused to listen to them or to consider a plan which keeps their homes. Instead the residents have been lied to and harassed by council officers, and their homes run down. Lewisham Council should respect its residents’ needs and wishes and not break up communities. As in other developments, residents must be given a ballot on regeneration plans. *Keep Old Tidemill Wildlife Garden a community garden for ALL* Any redevelopment must include, not bulldoze, the thriving Garden which was built in the 1990’s by local people, teachers, parents and kids from Tidemill School. An alternative architectural plan shows how the garden and Reginald Road CAN be kept by building on the playground and developing the old school buildings. This area has some of the highest pollution levels in London, which will only get worse if the garden is lost. And the green space on the site should be kept public, not transformed into private gardens as under the current plans. *Public land, and public money, should be 100% used for the benefit of the public* Lewisham Council want to sell this land, meaning a valuable public asset will be lost forever. Millions of pounds of public money is being spent to subside this development, behind a cloak of secrecy due to the ‘confidentiality clauses' of the Council’s private partners. This land should be redeveloped in partnership with the community - to build as many social homes as possible but keep our invaluable current homes and community Garden. We want the council and developers to truly partner with the community to redraw the plans for the site!

  • Save Bartlett Adventure Park. E14
No where for mothers and children to meet up with proper seating to have a chat/catch up. The community has no other facilities like the park in poplar. With its own toilets and unit for rainy days. It was also secure which was great for kids with Special needs (the amount of children with extra needs,is above the national average in LBTH)

  • Glasgow Warriors home game v Edinburgh should be at Scotstoun
We, the Glasgow Warriors fans, humbly request that the silver Saturday event ONLY occurs every second year and our home event is staged in Glasgow, at Scotstoun. It is incredibly unfair Glasgow fans are made to travel to Edinburgh to watch what should be a home fixture in a poor atmosphere. If this please is ignored, no doubt it will, we fans demand that season ticket holder should be given an option to pay for 10 out of 11 games, as many cannot travel or are not happy to do so.

  • Anti social behaviour affecting residents living near the Observatory Pub
The people living the near the pub are experiencing heavy noise nuisances from customers using the facilities. Homes and private walkways are being urinated on, bottles are being dumped frequently on the public highway and customers are often parking dangerously. Under the Environmental Protection Act 1990, statutory noise nuisance affects a person's health or causes disturbance to them in their property. Residents should be able to live in a clean and safe environment. The persistent anti social behaviour is substantially interfering with the living quality of residents who are living in close proximities of the premises. The area will benefit significantly with appropriate action being carried out and promote a family friendly environment. This will also allow residents to access roads, reduce crime and be able to sleep during early hours of the morning.

  • Stop excessive use of plastic toys on magazines for children
Aside from creating clutter around our homes, it's just another example of wasteful plastic filling up our world that we don't need and promotes a wasteful culture. The magazines themselves are creative and fun and the plastic toys they use are marketing ploys to make children nag their parents for them. The toys are obviously cheap and flimsy and rarely last long for playing. Most of these plastic toys will just end up in our bins, our landfill and clogging up the oceans. The magazines are good enough without having the cheap toys tacked onto them. Redan Publishing aren't the only children's magazine to do this but they publish popular ones such as Peppa Pig and CBeebies. Hopefully by targeting them we can create interest and public pressure to challenge the assumption that children's magazines need cheap plastic toys to sell.

  • Children’s playhouse
We received a gift of a play house for our garden for our children to play with. We have been notified from North Lanarkshire Council that we have a period of 28 days to remove it from our garden. We have a few points we would like to mention regarding the safety and wellbeing of our kids. Don't you think..... * It is safer for our children to play in their own garden than in a park which is full of broken glass and dogs dirt. * As parents it puts our minds at rest knowing we can watch our children from the comfort of our own home and know they are safe. * If children are out of sight you dont know who could be lurking about. You hear of kids being abducted and also the fear of paedophiles in the vicinity. All we are asking is to have the right to keep our kids safe in their own garden enjoying the equipment that was gifted to them. PLEASE SIGN THIS PETITION FOR US TO OVERTURN THE COUNCIL'S DECISION IN REMOVING THE EQUIPMENT IN 28 DAYS. Take into consideration the safety of our children.

  • Publish the postal vote count separately at elections and referendums
Given widespread concerns about the potential for electoral fraud being easier to perpetrate through postal voting than 'in-person' voting, we propose that postal votes be counted separately from the 'in-person' vote and the numbers for each count be published when the results are declared.
