We are a group of women just wanting to play football. Some of us are young and want to continue in the game having played girls football at a Junior level, others such as myself are returning to the game after a 12 year absence. What joins us together and what makes us a team is our love of the game. Women play vital roles in making the game the success that it is. By sharing our experience, we hope to encourage more women to get involved in football across the board. Hoping to make clear pathways for our future girls, help us make that step forward for our future young football players. Local doctor's surgeries are being closed at an alarming rate. This has happened at short notice, and with no consultation with patients. This denies us access to a local surgery. Meadow Parade surgery will only be open in mornings from now on, with a review in spring which may lead to it closing altogether, leaving NO doctors surgery in Rottingdean. The nearest will be in Saltdean, which is difficult and inconvenient for local people, especially the elderly and infirm, to get to.

We are the only shopping area without a carpark which is detrimental to traders and shoppers. We need help bringing Stirchley into the 21st century.

There is an increase of crimes carried out by youths in Mexborough. They are vandalising cars, terrorising local residents, banging on windows and being abusive.

The High Peak area is almost completely devoid of electric vehicle charging infrastructure. Between Stalybridge and Sheffield there is a distance of over 30 miles without any publicly available chargers. Given the serious traffic congestion in the area you would expect the local authority to be doing all they can to promote alternative fuel sources to mitigate air pollution, noise and climate change. Electric vehicles will not solve congestion, but diesel and petrol engines are causing excessive and unnecessary harm as the government has recently indicated by targeting a ban on the sale of fossil fuel only cars by 2040. High Peak is currently not in a position to meet this target and risks lagging behind nearby areas. High Peak needs to take advantage of funding sources available for the cost of electric charging and show some leadership in the field - Greater Manchester has an extensive network of free to use charging points.

The GREEN Team Canterbury, a local voluntary community group, has worked hard for the past few years to expose the enormous amount of perfectly good items going to waste in landfill during student relocation, which begins in May every year and continues over a period of about three weeks. The waste is plain to see but we have found much of the contents of bins and sacks is not RUBBISH! These include: CROCKERY, CUTLERY, POTS & PANS, ELECTRICALS, ELECTRONICS, CLOTHES, SHOES, BAGS, CDS & DVDS, JEWELLRY, BRIC A BRAC, SOFT FURNISHINGS, TOWELS, BOOKS, STATIONERY, BEDDING, AND NON-PERISHABLE FOOD. The sheer amount being thrown out is mind boggling, both on and off campuses, and would inundate our city's charity shop sector. Many students have no way of getting their unwanted possessions to them anyway. Added to this is the fact that most of this stuff is ideal for the following year’s students and we think that these items should be available in year round on campus free shops. There were many smiling faces when these items were redistributed at our Pop-up Free Shops over the past three summers. There was also shock that these items, some even new and unused (still sealed in their packaging!), were headed to landfill until they were covertly intercepted by The GREEN Team Canterbury. So much more could be achieved with an official well publicised scheme that doesn’t require going through contaminated rubbish to recycle unwanted stuff. There are already numerous schemes operating both nationally and globally. This is not rocket science. This can be done. We have been in contact with Canterbury City Council and local educational institutions for some time but unfortunately no scheme as yet has been planned. We are therefore petitioning the above to show the amount of support for a scheme and to spur them into action. Councils are being required to reduce landfill and may face penalties for non compliance with both national and Europe wide targets. Meanwhile our planet and its people are crying out for change. This would be good for all, especially the following year’s students. We think all the parties involved should work together and create a viable official and well publicised scheme in time for the next student relocation in May 2018. The Walk In centre has become an essential service to the 60,000 residents in the local area. It massively relieves the pressure on the A & E unit in St Peters. No appointments are needed and it was open everyday.

The Westway Trust are about to resubmit their plans for the redevelopment of Portobello Green to RBKC. These plans have not changed since the consultation last November . I don't believe our views have been heard. Firstly, Westway claim to support local businesses - however the council have leased the huge space under the Westway opposite Sainsbury's on Ladbroke Grove to Pret a Manger. This will affect all the small food businesses in the area. Westway haven't objected to this and this shows they clearly aren't working with the council on getting the right local retail mix. Secondly Westway are not working with the market operator to control the quality of the stalls in the market. There is far too much tourist tat for sale. There is no point redeveloping the area unless there is a clear vision to protect and enhance what visitors are coming for in the first place. Westway do not understand this. I would like the Westway Trust to appoint a competent person to have responsibility for ensuring the Westway Trust, RBKC and the Portobello Market lessees all work together to ensure that all market stalls under the ultimate control of the Westway Trust maintain the reputation of Portobello Market.. This person needs to ‘curate' the market and bring in new interesting vendors to help regenerate interest in the market. This person also needs to ensure that future conflicts of interest, such as the signing of the lease to Pret a Manger, do not happen again. Once I have a decent number of signatures on this petition I will approach the Westway Trust to discuss this proposal. Local council's need fairer funding to deliver services to residents - without further funding services may be at risk.

The cuts to access to justice for those facing criminal prosecutions must be reversed before the disaster that has occurred in civil legal aid cases representation is repeated. It is essential to halt the erosion of access to legal representation in the UK when citizens are facing funded prosecution (especially by the State). The erosion of legal aid strikes at the heart of our democracy, destabilising the level playing field that Justice requires and increasingly divides the nation between those wealthy enough to buy legal services and the rest who increasingly are forced to act in person. This false economy causes delay and unplanned expense. It increases social division The present cuts are imposed despite steadily a steady reduction in legal aid expenditure (From £1,289 in 2010 -11 to £863. In 2016-17. [£’000s]. At a time when the Government is attempting to present a positive image internationally for our legal services the damage to our reputation is in fact immense: From the Bach Commission evidence ‘Appendix 5: An analysis of evidence received by the Commission’ the following stark conclusions are reached: 1) Cuts to the fees paid under the Litigators Graduated Fee Scheme (“LGFS”) make much of criminal legal aid work uneconomical; (2) The rate of remuneration for advocates in many hearings often falls below the minimum wage. (3) The application of the merits test and means tests to legal aid in the magistrates’ court and Crown Court prevents deserving clients receiving representation and causes delay. (4) The number of offices handling legal aid criminal work has gone down by 20%. Legal advice deserts are being created and increasingly those denied Justice will beat a path to MP’s surgeries in desperation. We call upon the Government to reverse the cuts and engage in discussions for meaningful reform of the criminal Justice system and its funding.

The Boundary Commission published terrible proposals that would change the parliamentary boundaries in Dudley and chop our town in half! The proposals put St Thomas's ward - which includes part of Dudley town centre and areas like Kate's Hill, Buffery Park, Oakham, Sledmere and Blowers Green - into a new Sandwell constituency stretching almost ten miles to Edgbaston in Birmingham - Imagine that! I think these plans would rip the heart out of Dudley. They would: - Split Dudley's historic town centre in half - Put just one Dudley ward in with SEVEN Sandwell wards - Force local people to travel across Sandwell to meet their MP - Put the town centre church of St Thomas's in a different constituency from the ward that carries its name! I'm working with the ward Councillors to fight this plan and we're encouraging residents, businesses, charities and community groups to write to the Boundary Commission and urge them to think again.
