Stop Government plans to snoop on your internet historyRight now, the Government is trying to push a new snooping law through Parliament. The Investigatory Powers Bill would force companies such as Sky, BT, Google and Facebook to keep detailed records of what we do online for a year – even if we are not suspected of committing any crime whatsoever. The Government are calling these ‘Internet Connection Records'. The Bill has been criticised for not being clear about what ICRs are. But basically they include our internet history, the apps we use, and even the messages we send to our friends and family! The websites we visit reveal so much about who we are – who we bank with, where our kids go to school, our health worries, our sexual preferences, who we are likely to vote for. Imagine knowing that every time you visit a website or use an app, it will be recorded. No other Government in the world has these kinds of intrusive powers. And they don’t need them. We need to ask why the British police need to access our web history when police forces around the world don’t do this. Some people say ‘if you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear’. But we should all be worried about our sensitive personal information being collected and analysed. Companies like Talk Talk have been hacked before, and the sensitive data that all our ISPs will now be expected to keep about us will be very valuable to cyber-criminals. The Government have tried to push through new snooping powers before and a public backlash stopped them in their tracks. Now we need to come together again and demand Theresa May removes Internet Connection Records from the Bill.4,757 of 5,000 SignaturesCreated by Harmit Kambo

Help Hastings General PracticeGP practice is in decline in Hastings. Appointments are already limited and waiting times long, and why is this? There simply aren't enough doctors. Deficit in training doctors, the unfair terms of junior doctor contracts and the unattractive proposition of a general practitioners workload in comparison to their salaries has meant that there is a shortage in GPs. The lack of doctors and the state of health and healthcare services in a town as affected by poverty as Hastings, should be a priority. Today, checking local job listings, I found 12 positions for GPs in Hastings in just the first search page. Multiple practices in the area are short of doctors and are advertising to no avail, and a few of the remaining practices are currently offering "inadequate" services, not through incompetence but that there is not enough doctors to cover the workload. 5 Practices have been taken over by IMH, a private healthcare provider, these practices are also struggling to recruit doctors and provide care to standard for their approximately 20,000 patients. We need to act now, as the worst end result of this is not privatization but that while conditions are worsening and there is a paucity of care thousands of patients with serious morbidities could deteriorate, unable to be seen. A&Es are not the answer for these people as they are already overloaded and waiting times in Hastings are particularly high. We need to make a stand and we need to do it now, we need to tell the Government that we do not accept these standards of care.78 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Kate Vogiatzis

Save The Birch Tree InnThis is important to the local community of Glasshouses, Wilsill and Blazefield who have been using the pub for the past 170 years and continues to be an important hub for many activities, including Glasshouses Village Association, Glasshouses Development Association, The Birch Tree darts team, The Birch Tree dominoes team, quiz nights, Pateley Bridge Walking Festival, cricket club meetings, two book clubs, etc., as well a place to meet, eat and drink. The Nidderdale AONB also needs tourists and this pub provided a very attractive asset for day-trippers, walkers and cyclists alike. This pub had not failed!!117 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Simon Tame

End the gender bias in autism diagnosis - girls matter tooBeing a parent of a beautiful child that is currently going through this process I understand the complexities that arise from having a child that has different needs. It not only affects the individual but the whole family as a unit. Research tells us that THOUSANDS of young girls are getting misdiagnosed or underdiagnosed due to a lack of awareness and MALE BIASED assessments. Meanwhile this leaves the families crying out for help and more importantly our children suffering unnecessary anxiety, stress and a low quality of life. As a parent all we want is for our children to be safe, healthy and happy. Our children have a right to a fair assessment and service. The whole autism process is way too complicated, frustrating, inconsistent and can take years to attain a diagnosis. No diagnosis no help. Individuals with autism are NINE times more likely to die prematurely, with suicide being the principal cause. This figure could potentially be a lot HIGHER if girls are getting missed. Many girls will have either have been dismissed as a problem child or driven by their overwhelming anxiety and depression into an already underfunded mental health service. We as a society always focus on our physical wellbeing, yet both emotional and physical walk hand in hand. There is an urgent need for the government to address this GENDER BIAS and ensure ALL KEY PROFESSIONALS across the UK are trained and made aware of the differences. Additionally ALL AUTISM SCREENING TOOLS need to include the subtle autistic traits of girls to ensure fairness and consistency. Awareness, early diagnosis and intervention is all that is needed to help our children. Please sign this life changing petition to ensure that no female child or adult gets overlooked or misdiagnosed and suffer unnecessarily. http://network.autism.org.uk/knowledge/insight-opinion/interview-dr-judith-gould-women-and-girls http://www.tandfonline.com/doi/pdf/10.1080/15332985.2015.1031858 http://autismwomensnetwork.org/autistic-women-misdiagnosis-and-the-importance-of-getting-it-right/ http://www.iancommunity.org/cs/simons_simplex_community/autism_in_girls http://www.theguardian.com/social-care-network/2016/apr/05/autism-learning-disability-premature-mortality614 of 800 SignaturesCreated by Nicola Heady

Save Lichfield LibraryThe Friary site was gifted in 1920 by Richard Cooper MP for the ‘permanent use and benefit of the citizens of Lichfield’. It’s an important and historic public resource for the people of Lichfield and surrounding areas. It is not just a library building, but a fantastic community hub. The proposals to relocate to St Mary’s in the Market Square would see a drastic reduction in floor size, so the space for books, computers and various community groups will be greatly diminished. Library services are evolving and public funding is being slashed, but the County Council has a duty to ensure an open and democratic public consultation about the future of the site, before any decisions are made on the future of the building. The County has shown a lack of transparency on it's strategy for disposal and some details of the deal have only recently been disclosed. To achieve the disposal of the whole site requires the Library and Record Office to move out. The County Council is obviously motivated by the financial pressures they are under rather than the local community benefit the services and site provide. Once the site is sold, it will be lost to the people of Lichfield forever.2,694 of 3,000 SignaturesCreated by Robert Pass

A new Health Centre for LochgellyThe health centre, which has been in place for over thirty years, is no longer fit for purpose. Structurally the building requires significant investments for the level of repairs required and the level of capacity it is no longer able to accommodate the increasing demands placed upon it. In an area which has higher than both the Fife and Scottish levels of multiple health problems we need a Health Centre which is able to support the increasing population and provide support for the varying degrees of mental and physical support that the people of Lochgelly deserve.197 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Lochgelly Community Council

Save St Lukes, Blakenhall, WolverhamptonSt Luke's Church, built 1861, is arguably Wolverhampton's finest building. Described by Pevsner in The Buildings of England as 'furiously unruly' and also the birthplace of Wolverhampton Wanderers FC, the distinctive and unusually colourful, poly-chromatic, Gothic Revival architecture marks it out as being of national architectural importance. The Church closed in 2014 following a Church of England consultation and is now at risk of demolition http://www.expressandstar.com/news/2015/09/18/endangered-architecture-the-fight-to-save-victorian-treasures/1,517 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Aaron Gill

Save The Kings Arms, KingsbridgeThe Kings Arms has been on its current site in the centre of Kingsbridge since 1775 and has offered hospitality to locals and visitors since that time. It is currently closed and is in a dilapidated state - spoiling our main street which otherwise enjoys virtually fully occupancy with independent traders and giving a terrible impression to visitors new to the town. We want to open a dialogue with the owners to see about reinvigorating the building and to let it, once again, be the heart of our community.120 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Philip Cole

Save our BeachThe beach was for many years, a very popular area for tourists and locals alike. In recent years, the groynes, believed to help retain the sand have fallen into disrepair. This has allowed the sand to migrate from the north side of the beach, leaving only rocks and exposed sewage pipework in its place. We desperately need the groyne repaired, the beach cleaned up, and a comprehensive study undertaken to ascertain the best way to manage the beach in future. The beach is the heart of our town. Right now it's broken.1,255 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Billy Main
