Make the 1st Monday of November, "Labour Day Bank/Public Holiday"The UK is one the few countries in the Western world that does not have a day that celebrates the hard work and sacrifice's made by the people who help keep this country running. Last year while so many of us who where unable to work. There where those key workers who kept on going providing essential services. By creating a extra Public Holiday which everyone can enjoy & which celebrates the many who we depend on would show appreciation & recognition. I also believe it would be beneficial for the mood of the nation to have a Public Holiday in November, when have so many close together in the spring & summer. But nothing in the autumn.1 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Matthew Doležal

Brighton Council Reverse Fines Issued at the Bus Gates Until The Signage Is ChangedAn astonishing 9,618 tickets were issued last month alone – that’s 310 a day or one every two minutes at peak times – and this was down on the figure for August. Given the sheer number of fines issued this is clearly not drivers ignoring the road signs this appears to be an attempt to fleece innocent road users. This is damaging to the moral of the local population and discourages the tourism that Brighton and Hove relies on.1,806 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Damien Williamson

Ban Private JetsWe have all got to get serious about fighting climate change by taking deliberate steps to reduce our carbon emissions. However, it is easiest for the big emitters, such as the users of private jets, to make big reductions. Simple morality dictates that the wealthy should cease endangering the lives of the poor by wasteful behaviour. However, the damage incurred by private jet flights is so disproportionate that legislation is needed to prevent them.46 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Tony Burton

Urgent backup for care staffThe people these carers look after each day can be the most vulnerable in our community. In some cases, their carer is the only person they see each day. To have staff over worked, stressed and feeling alone means they cannot offer the level of carer they want to provide and that should be available While there are government departments to which complaints can be raised, these are insufficient and allow the care companies to over work the staff and provide a sub-adquate service Staff need to be better protected to make them feel supported and safer to raise concerns knowing that these concerns will be not only fully looked into but also dealt with fully3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Steven Maguire
