Imagine a Southwark where our high streets are filled with vibrant markets and stores offering fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean protein options – easily accessible for everyone. Imagine children being surrounded by advertisements that encourage healthy eating and positive food choices, rather than promoting foods that contribute to health problems. We believe that by coming together, we can make this vision a reality. The Southwark Council has a crucial role to play, and our voices can make a significant impact. We are all being encouraged to use fewer single use plastics and carrier bags but supermarkets seem to devote more shelf space to these bottles of water-just ordinary water, not even spring water.

There are nearly 700 people who live in these PFI villages 2years ago all funding for the catering was removed we have a large number of disabled and elderly who now survive on cold food and it is only the generosity of there neighbours that supply them with a warm meal we demand that the kitchens that were run by Stoke On Trent council be put back The company Your Housing Group who manage these villages have done there best to ensure these kitchens never open they are talking about decommissioning them a soon as they can that is why we need action now Day to day we see our basic rights removed. These people have worked all their lives only to find that getting a hot meal is now no longer one of them. Don't let this become the new future, don't let big business say this is how it should be because it eats into their profit margin - help give back what they take away.

The Kept Animals Bill would have also banned live exports, cracked down on puppy smuggling, and a ban on primates as pets. Last month, the Conservatives refused to revive the Bill! Farmers across Wales, including the Vale of Glamorgan, will have been deeply disappointed that the Conservative Government decided to withdraw the Bill at the last moment. We support efforts to ensure that a bill is introduced urgently to pass these protections and new powers into law. Police forces require greater powers to investigate instances of dog attacks effectively. It is hoped that if the police are empowered so that there are more successful prosecutions there will be a greater incentive for dog owners to ensure that their animals are kept under control. Farmers rightly feel betrayed by this Conservative Government, they need action not excuses! The Farmers Union of Wales have said that the u turn has caused "real frustration"! During the Covid pandemic, dog ownership rose sharply as people took on pets as companions. This has led to more "gruesome" attacks on farmers livestock by some unscrupulous dog owners. Our farmers and their livestock deserve better protection!

All of us who go to or exit the tram stop to the south have to pass through an alleyway with a blindspot. The adjacent houses don't overlook the spot, they just hear the screaming and shouts for help. It's a favourite spot for drug dealers, groups of men harassing women and for muggings to take place. We've had enough! We want to be able to walk home safely, or go to the tram stop safely. You can't see who's around the corner till you are literally next to them. The multiple exits down the alley way make for an excellent getaway for the muggers. The metrolink camera only covers their path till it joins the alley way. And that's where they are waiting for the next victim. The only option is that Manchester City Council will put in a surveillance camera to secure this dangerous blind spot alleyway. How many more reports does it take till we will get listened to? Sign our petition and let the Council know that they have a duty of care. Don't let your friends and family be the next victim. This must be the only place where the path from the tram leads people into an unsafe alleyway, before they get to the road and pavement. Together we can make it happen. Let's put an end to having us walk into a hidden area where you can't see who's waiting for you. The blindspot at the end of Sidbury Road to walk through the alleyway to get to the path to the tram has to be made safe. Enough has happened already, join us and don't let your friends and family be the next victim.

Everybody uses wifi for communication as some people cannot afford to pay for texts or calls

Disgraced former Prime Minister Liz Truss could be heading down under to appear on I’m a Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here. It’s reported that she is being offered hundreds of thousands of pounds to appear on the hit ITV show later this year. Despite being Prime Minister for just 44 days, Liz Truss caused huge damage to our economy. With ordinary people up and down the country still hurt by her actions, she simply does not deserve to be rewarded with dingo dollars, hefty appearance fees or the exposure of a primetime TV slot.

It's a place local people walk their dogs, exercise and enjoy wildlife. Skylarks, Swifts, Doormice, Kestrels, Deer, Rabbits, Hedgehogs, Lots of Butterflies and Moths..the list is endless. Also a huge variety of wildflowers, Pyramidal Orchids, Common Spotted Orchids Thistles, Clover, Birdsfoot Trefoil, Water Mint, Oxeye Daisies, Buttercups, Heathers. (Just to name a few!) It's a green corridor that links to ancient woodland. We have already lost the green space of Forty Acres, so migratory birds might well decide to use Campdown. These environments are sadly becoming rare and must be protected.

Dividends should be the result of profitability and you cannot say you are profitable while failing to provide adequate Public services and dumping sewage in our rivers or pay dividends while simultaneously approaching insolvency.

Every summer, flags go up on lampposts across Northern Ireland. They hang around for months becoming an eyesore, and many glorify illegal paramilitary groups. This year we've seen an increase in flags in shared areas like the Westlink motorway, at supermarkets and outside the PSNI training centre at Garnerville. No one takes responsibility to take them down. The flying of flags needs to be clearly legislated for so the issue can be tackled once and for all.
