• Return Student Nurses Bursary Now
Student nurses are finding it impossible to do over 60 hours to make up for lost Nurses Bursary to ensure they never come out of education with a debt over their shoulders or a shadow over their family members. As a result student nurses are dropping out and potential students are discouraged to enter into nursing while a lot of nurses are retiring in thousands. Patient safety is getting out of hand.

  • Personality Disorder Equality
Personality disorders are often dismissed as behavioural problems that simply put pressure on to the NHS and cause professional people problems. The truth in fact, is that they are not a choice, they are very real illnesses that often see some of societies most vulnerable people shunned, discriminated against, fall into the criminal justice system, and ultimately lose their lives. There are many media stories in circulation around personality disorder patients, being denied treatment, losing their lives and being denied basic human rights. This is wrong in one of the wealthiest and developed countries in the world. We need change. We need a voice. We need compulsory training for all frontline, primary, secondary and tertiary service staff.

  • Get rid of the tampon tax
A woman doesn't get to choose whether she has a period or not and it's certainly not enjoyable. Why are they classed as a luxury if you can't choose whether or not you want to use them.

  • Ban social media from under 16 year olds
To safeguard all children who fall into this catergory. Open and free access to social media of this age group is opening up access to paedophiles and is currently leading to vile and sickening acts being carried out by these sick people. We need to put a stop to this now before more children fall victim and have their lives ruined. The world will then lose the ability to have real time interaction with real children which is what needs to be done.

  • Vote for cannabis legalisation
This is important as it is in our right to be able to do with our bodies as we choose, as it stands the government seem to believe that us people can be treated like children told what we can or can't do with our bodies, we should have right to make that decision for ourselves, not told it is for our own good, drinking is much more harmful than any strain of cannabis in existence yet that is legal. I'm not saying all drugs should be legal but I do suggest there should be a choice for all minimum risk drugs such as cannabis, atleast this way us as the people of UK we can make our own mind up as to whether we think we should be able to have cannabis for our own use rather than a room full of people who are not part of the public, who destroy people's lives over this drug. Give us a choice, the government are supposed to support there people not oppose them.

  • Ban the use of Methylisothiazoline Ap123 and Methylchloroisothiazolinone Ap124
The use of Methylisothiazoline Ap123 and Methylchloroisothiazolinone Ap124 are preservatives and used in most moistrasisers, make up, baby fragranced wet wipes, washing up liquid, perfume, deodrant, etc. I can list a whole load of things this is used in and im pretty sure if you look at the ingredients in most of your soaps, body washes, make up, sun screen, perfume's, t tree products, shampoo, etc you will find it in them!! Methylisothiazoline Ap123 and Methylchloroisothiazolinone Ap124 This is used as a presevative to make the products last longer. But what annoys me the most is the use of this product on sensative skin products, yet for people like me with sensative skin and an eczema suffer i can't use the products because it contains this Chemical, it's in so many things!! This does not help excema suffers or sensitive skin sufferers or any other skin problems you may have. This Chemical has ONLY BEEN BANNED in 1 country... YES THAT'S RIGHT 1 COUNTRY!!! I would like to bring a ban on the use of this Chemical in our product's in ENGLAND, as it is not good for our skin and can cause you to itch and come out in a rash due to this chemical being used. Unless you have a patch test done and get tested you can not tell if you are allergic to it. I want people to be aware of this and the more people know about this the better. Thank you for reading and please sign it to make this happen for people who suffer like me and fight this battle everyday.

  • Reinstate the Mental Health Unit in Medway
The Mental Health Unit at Medway Maritime Hospital was closed in 2013 by Jeremy Hunt, this was short-sighted and a mistake. A third of all police time is taken up having to look after mental health patients, time that could be better spent tackling crime. Since the closure, KMPT (Kent and Medway's health and social care trust) has spent more than £5.6 million on out of area referrals due to a shortage of beds for patients.

  • STOP PROMOTING SWEETENERS TO CHILDREN: LISTEN
Recent background: 1. In August ’16 Government gave a policy statement in relation to the Sugary Drinks Industry Levy that Key component of Childhood Obesity Strategy is to promote diet drinks. It was no.1 in a list of ‘12 Things You Should Know’, published on the government’s news website. The ‘reformulation’ of products, which currently amounts to replacing sugar with artificial sweeteners, was to be extended to other products deemed too high in sugar, regular yoghurts are among the cited foods. Questions challenging the policy were blocked at the Health Matters Live event in November ’16. Citations of studies and reviews that concluded not enough was known about the safety of sweeteners, were removed from a Wikipedia site on Sugar Taxes. The effect of the strategy has been an escalation in the use of sweeteners by manufacturers, and it is not immediately clear, when choosing items from the shelves in supermarkets, that sweeteners are being used where once they were not. Products may not be described as ‘diet’ or ‘with sweeteners’, other than in smaller print on the ingredients label. (Neotame and advantame may legitimately be used without any mention on the ingredients label.) 2. In January ’17 a Government Health Report announced that for success there needed to be zero price promotions on ‘unhealthy’ products. To use the same example, regular yoghurts are classed as ‘unhealthy’, artificially sweetened ones as the ‘healthy’ option. The effect of this move is to limit the affordable choices for poorer families wanting to give their children a healthy balanced diet with less emphasis on sweet things, but with no artificial sweeteners. All have the right to make informed healthy choices. The right to an informed choice is being eroded. • Review of the healthcare in private Scottish prisons.
I, and many others are disheartened by the appalling healthcare standards in Scottish prisons, in particular, private prisons. Prisoners are there to be punished, not tortured and deprived of basic healthcare needs. Poor reaction time to prisoners pressing call buttons requiring urgent medical assistance. Prisoners left in excess of two months without their regular medication, and in excess of four weeks to be seen. Epilepsy sufferers deprived of their medication and left having seizures in their cell untreated by medical staff. The care commission have refused to investigate, or conduct a review. This petition is important to highlight the faults in prison healthcare and how it can cause deterioration to a prisoners wellbeing, this not only abuses their right to healthcare but abuses human rights.

  • Say 'No' to driverless truck convoys on British roads
These vehicles will only have one driver in the front vehicle and will be over 60 metres long. Motor organisations have warned against which will increase congestion and cause extra hazards for drivers. Safety on our already dangerous roads. Our roads are very different to US roads
