While most parents regularly check their children for head lice some do not. The children of those parents continuously spread head lice through the schools, causing discomfort, distress and financial burdens on every parent with a child of school age. In the last four weeks we have had to treat our son for head lice four times and that is not an uncommon situation. Each time my son has been very distressed about it and despite us assuring him that it is not his fault he still says it makes him feel dirty. While I know that head lice treatment can be provided on the NHS for those parents who are unable to afford it this is not always freely given and is only provided for the child of school age. The problem with this is that the infection will usually be spread throughout the family thus only treating the child will not solve the problem. The nit nurses provided a bottle of treatment to use on the entire family. For those parents who simply do not check their children, whether out of ignorance or laziness, the nit nurse is a good tool for encouraging them to do so.

We should have the right to know about how our food is produced, so that we can choose to consume it, or not to. Therefore clear labelling is very important. Also it should be a basic Human Right to be able to avoid food, if it can make us ill. It is suspected that at least 27 people died and over 1500 to 2000 people became permanently disabled (and still awaiting a cure), after consuming a genetically engineered food supplement called 'L Tryptophan' some years ago [This can easily be checked by googling 'Tryptophan + GM Deaths'. Also see below in red box]. On a personal level, 'GM-Fed' animal products have been making me ill, since my local food shops have been selling them unlabelled these past approximate 8 years. It is clear to me that playing about with Nature's deep foundations is not a safe thing to do, coming from our still highly undeveloped level of consciousness. Please support this petition.

Ever since it's foundation in 1948, the National Health Service has been a mainstay of our country. However, in an ever changing world, the pressures now facing the NHS are very great. We have had a top down review in recent years. People are growing older and living longer. There have also been significant advances in medicine since 1948. However, the NHS has also seen major political parties arguing about who can manage it best. It is now time for all of that to stop. It is time for a Royal Commission to look into the future of our NHS. All major political parties, trade unions, NHS staff, service providers and expert witnesses and patients should be called to look at ways of improving and enhancing our NHS for the future. It should be led by an expert in the field of medicine. It is time for the politics to stop and all those with an interest to come together to work hard for the future of our NHS. A long term solution agreed by all stakeholders in our NHS is needed to make it work for everyone.

Because there is a minimum but no maximum. We are In pain with the heat

After the Tragedy at Grenfell Tower and the unknown amount of people who died from smoke inhalation, this could be an effective low cost fast way to give people a chance of getting through the deadly smoke. We should all understand that the government will not fit sprinkler systems within flats similar to Grenfell but this would be a start to give people a chance of getting out of the building alive if such events occur.

This is important because plastic pollution in the ocean is killing the marine life; whether it is from animals being strangled to animals eating the plastic particles because they mistake it for food. The ecosystem is comprised of so many different moving parts and every animal plays an important role in maintaining the health of the ecosystem. We need to be held responsible for buying plastic bottles, and Coke needs to be held responsible for the plastic pollution they are creating in the ocean as well. It is a two way street! Please sign if you care about keeping the marine ecosystem and the human population healthy because what ends up in the ocean can and will end up on our plates.

Politicians should be held accountable both for their actions and for their failure to act in the best interests of the community they have been elected to serve.

I was diagnosed with a condition called factor v leiden mutation when I was 19. I have to take life long medication to prevent a fatal blood clot. I already have had 3 clots. One of which was multiple and on my lungs. I spent 48 hours in icu and a further 10 days on a hospital ward. After my diagnosis the rest of my family where tested as it is a genetic disorder. factor v leiden is just one condition that anti coagulation therapy is used for. I am 50 times more likely to clot than someone who dosent have this condition.

I have worked for 42 years in the NHS and care deeply that it should not be privatised or sold but remain in public hands free for all to use. The Health Service Journal disclosed last week that the Department of Health was preparing to create six regional public/private partnerships covering all of England that would oversee sales of NHS assets (land and buildings). The plan, codenamed Project Phoenix, would see the proceeds from asset sales being shared between NHS organisations and private firms. Under the plan, London and the south-east would comprise one giant, and very valuable, area to speculators. Naylor proposes to make this compulsory. This is so WRONG.

The Grenfell Tower fire is the worst residential fire since World War 2. It demands a serious, immediate attention.
