• Mental health curriculum
There are charities that are doing amazing jobs getting into schools to run mental health awareness sessions but it is not regular enough or even existent in some schools. I struggled hugely growing up in school and struggled with mental health but did not know what was wrong with me until I experienced a mental breakdown at around 15 years old. I have trained with 'Mind' as a youth wellbeing trainer and delivered mental wellbeing sessions in schools and it really is needed permanently.

  • Assist Japan In Solving the Fukushima Crisis
The continuous spread of radiation from the destroyed nuclear plants at Fukushima will not only affect those who live locally, but also many countries with coastlines on the Pacific Ocean and to a lesser degree the whole world. Therefore it is not just in the interests of the Japanese Government and TEPCO to solve the crisis, but the whole international community. On March 11th 2011 a tsunami knocked out the generators of the cooling systems of the Daiichi Nuclear power plant, resulting in explosions and three meltdowns of the reactor cores. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fukushima_Daiichi_nuclear_disaster

  • We need more midwives
New babies and mother's are leaving hospital too early. This is affected the babies ability to learn to feed. This is potentially lethal and inhibits a new mothers confidence to continue to breast feed. Such babies miss out on the gifts that breast feeding provides such as increased immunity and decreased sensitivity to food allergens aswell as the emotional bond and comfort breast feeding provides.

  • Alcohol and Tobacco Tax to N.H.S
Firstly; https://fullfact.org/economy/does-smoking-cost-much-it-makes-treasury/ Secondly; https://www.thedrinksbusiness.com/2015/09/alcohol-tax-revenue-outweighs-cost-of-abuse/ Drinkers and smokers, non drinkers, non smokers, please join my campaign. We all need the fabulous NHS .Please help me to petition the Government to give at least half of their revenue to the good old NHS, not sure where they're spending that money other than short films telling smokers and drinkers of alcohol to quit, better spent on the NHS I think. We may not all choose the same lifestyle but we should be able to decide where our taxes go and I want mine to be spent on the NHS, social housing and education. Put people first and bureaucracy last.

  • Fairness for the 70+'s
The population is living longer so more and more people will drop into being 70+. Surely a switch to a 75 year old threshold and then a yearly confirmation of healthy status, would be a much fairer approach!

  • Stop HS2 and fund NHS shortfall instead
Government funding on the NHS has been systematically falling, as a percentage of GDP, since the Tories took office. Funding here, in GDP terms, is now amongst the lowest in Europe despite the fact that we are one of the wealthiest nations in the world. The NHS is close to the hearts of the British people, is something all tax payers contribute to and CAN BE adequately funded. It is a choice that this Government are refusing to make because, in truth, they are seeking to privatise it completely. HS2 is something unnecessary, something that will only benefit a relative minority and which will carve a mighty gash through our countryside. The saving of 20 minutes on a train journey should not be prioritised above the saving of lives in our A & E departments.

  • More SEN Training for teachers and TA'S in schools
This very important because we need to help our children cope in society, prepare our children for a happy and meaningful life. My daughter is 12 years old, though out her primary school days struggled with going to school, crying a lot, her anxiety levels were through the roof. Only when my daughter was in year 4 the school had noticed my daughter had communication problems I was never told about until year 5. When my daughter was 3 years old I had taken to the GP, she was very violent so our GP referred my daughter over to the community paediatric services I got my local MP involved. After all those years of stress, anxiety, we finally received a outcome, on the 6th Dec 2016 my daughter was finally diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

  • Women`s Health
Surely penalising Women who have to have gynaecological operations, goes against equality at work laws ? Stress induced by bullying employers, or inflexible corporate dogma, makes hard working people more susceptible to other illnesses, putting good employees into a hopeless situation, demoralising them or, in the worst case scenario, facing dismissal for being unfortunate enough to experience several episodes of illness in one year. Employers know who the malingerers are ( or SHOULD, if they are decent employers). Good Employees need support when ill, NOT corporate bullying.
