Remove Bridge Netting around Castle Forgate/Train StationDespite the precautions taken to prevent animals from accessing these points the netting provisions have failed. Consequently, pigeons have gained access through torn holes and areas were netting has been inadequately installed. The result: Pigeons are getting trapped within the netting and dying appalling and wholly preventable deaths. These deaths occur through multiple routes: namely suffocation, starvation and dehydration. The suffering these animals must experience is unimaginable and is evident by the number of corpses littering the netting around Castle Foregate which raises additional public health concerns as the bodies decompose above our heads. Shrewsbury Town Council & Shropshire County Council please remove or enforce the removal of this uneccassary method of keeping away so called 'pests' : it isn't working and is resulting in unsightly, abhorrent, disturbing scenes in our town.1,157 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Daniel Baker

Fermanagh Save our ServicesOur health is our most precious asset. Moves to close provision in South West Acute Hospital in Enniskillen will force patients to undergo an unnecessary and lengthy journey to facilities which may be up to two hours drive away. There has been a huge amount invested (wasted on PFI) in our new hospital - it makes absolutely no sense to be paying huge sums for a fine hospital but with no services in it. After huge demonstration of people-power in response to the 'sham' pre-consultation exercise on Stroke services and the WHSCT six week consultation on brutal front-line health cuts it is clear the people of Fermanagh reject further service closures. Now that the WHSCT has performed a u-turn on its proposed emergency cuts we want to see a similar u-turn on the threat to SWAH's Stroke department. We also demand that those services not mentioned in the cuts consultation such as ENT, orthopaedics and Respiratory are maintained as they are and that Neonatal services which were subject to a temporary downgrading in 2014 but one which has never been lifted are restored to full operating status. In Fermanagh we pay our taxes and we work hard - longer hours than most parts of NI. We demand and deserve local, quality health services and decent social care provision for our most vulnerable. We demand local GP services that we can see quickly when needed and quality medical provision close enough to make the difference when we need it. Health services have been provided in our county for decades without a problem. It is only a problem now - we fear a crisis is being engineered to open the door for private medicine to make us pay for decent local services when we should be able to access them through the NHS. Hands off our NHS!1,070 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Donal O'Cofaigh

Epilepsy training in all nurserys/school/colleges.It is very important to raise more awareness about Epilepsy and how to help someone if they are having a seizure. There are over 40 types of seizure and a child/adult could start having seizures at anytime. I think it is so important for teachers to be tought how to recognise the different types of seizures and also knowing what to do in an emergancy situation. I think it should be compulsory training that all education setting should have to do.343 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Rachael King

Campaign for Outdoor Gym in Sir John McDougal Park, Westferry Road, E14The benefits and reasons to have public outdoor gyms in parks are well established. The outdoor public gyms enhance the local area, have positive impact on the public health locally and can improve the quality and versatility of its green and open spaces. However, the decision where to install these must be made in a transparent manner by the Mayor and the Council. Research conducted by Liverpool John Moores University found: • 75% or more of participants believed that outdoor gyms are easily accessible to them. • Beneficial for their health. • Enjoyable to use - 70% of participants find exercising outdoors is more beneficial for health than exercising indoors. 80% of participants find exercise more enjoyable when outdoors than indoors. In addition, outdoor public gyms in parks help in: 1. Cutting obesity - encouraging healthy living for all. 2. Providing free exercise equipment, enabling those who do not have the money for a gym membership to exercise. 3. Proving a family-friendly environment - a great way for parents to encourage their children to exercise. Even if children are too young to use the equipment themselves seeing adults working out in an environment that they are familiar with helps to make this seem like a natural part of daily life. As well as this, outdoor gym equipment in parks is an ideal way for families with older children to get out and exercise together. Cllr Maium Miah202 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Maium Miah Talukdar

for mental health and drugs and alcohol to come under one umbrellaBecause young people with drug and alcohol problems are turned away by mental health, and the two agencies do not work together even though a majority of drug and alcohol users have mental health problems .. these young people are then left without help and are let down by the system. most of the time these young people because they do not receive the treatment they so deserve they then turn to drugs and alcohol as a means of self medicating (dual diagnosis) many young people in prisons should be in hospital NOT in prision the system has failed them repeatedly. Medication and rehabilitation should be made available simultaneously for dual diagnosis especially revolving door patients.17 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Bernadine Peters

Stop privatisation of "NHS Professionals"NHS Professionals is a staffing agency run by the NHS. It was set up in 2004 to avoid the high costs of employing nurses from private agencies. These high costs have been much in the news recently, as a major drain on NHS finances. The NHS is short of staff (as a result of government policy) so has to use agency staff, especially nurses. This will get worse now that nursing bursaries have been scrapped, and of course Brexit will prevent EU nurses being recruited.159 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Leslie Andrews

Save Veterans First PointA decision will be taken this week on whether a "lifeline" service for hundreds of armed forces veterans will be forced to close its Grampian base. Eight Veterans First Point centres were set up in Scotland using cash from the UK government's Libor fund. But that money is running out and local health boards are now covering costs - with help from the Scottish government. NHS Grampian has now said it is unable to continue to fund the service. Veterans first point is a NHS run service to help veterans. It enables veterans to get help quickly for all sorts of problems, but mental health is the biggest. Without it veterans can be waiting over 12 months for help by which far to many will have committed suicide. These veterans have served you it is time you served them.549 of 600 SignaturesCreated by Kirsten Farr

Evidence not Prejudice: Deliver Better BirthsA group of mothers and midwives who care about quality maternity care have come together to start this petition. Last week, the major newspapers all ran high profile stories saying that Midwives were no longer supporting 'normal' birth, portraying it as a climb down. Midwives were attacked for 'pushing normal birth at any cost' and the support for normal birth was even linked with 'unsafe' care and neonatal death in the Times leader. We were also appalled to find Jeremy Hunt's tweets supporting this line and complimenting a prominent campaigner against 'normal' birth. These stories were damaging to women's choice and the work of midwives in delivering evidence based care. Moreover, they were contrary to the evidence and inaccurrate. The Birthplace Survey looking at 65 000 births showed that midwifery-led environments delivere safe care to mothers and babies and better outcomes for low risk women and babies. Only 57% of Low Risk healthy women have a normal birth in an obstetric led unit. All midwifery led environments ensure over 80% of healthy low risk women have a normal birth. Midwives deliver choices and quality of care - Better Births recognises this and wants all healthy women to have access to midwifery led care environments. The Lancet Series is internationally acclaimed research looking at the importance of midwifery care in a range of environments across the world. Midwives deliver safe evidence based care to all risks of women in a range of environments and improve outcomes in doing so. This is the evidence and it needs to be recognised and acknowledged by Jeremy Hunt to ensure that women have access to a midwfe they know and trust to support them along their maternal pathway. Better Births is about delivering quality maternity care to all women and their families whatever their situation. It is not about delivering normal birth to every woman and baby. Women of all risks need good quality care and especially those struggling with physical and mental health challenges. The attacks on midwifery do nothing to ensure high risk women and babies receive the care they need - midwives are an important part of care for high risk women and babies too. Finally anyone who knows anything about anything knows that the biggest cause of infant mortality is poverty. By contrast evidence shows continuity of midwifery carer helps reduces miscarriage, premature birth and still birth rates. It is time that this was publically acknowledged by Jeremy Hunt and others. Jeremy Hunt should have been aware of all this when he was tweeting and discussing maternity in public and we as mothers and midwives are very disappointed at his lack of understanding, and his lack of commitment to evidence-based care. We are disappointed at his casual attitude to midwives who seek to deliver quality of care and choice to all women. We are also concerned that his expressed opinion demonstrates a lack of commitment to delivering Better Births that will ensure the majority of women have access to the midwifery-led care that maximises their chances of having a safe normal birth and beyond. A normal birth remember, is by definition, the safest birth you can have. Jeremy Hunt, we ask you to stand with evidence-based care and the midwifery profession. And to publically commit your Government to delivering on the recommendations of the National Maternity review in Better Births. We commend this petition to you.3,474 of 4,000 SignaturesCreated by Ruth Weston

A public debate on the future of the NHS; Jeremy Hunt Vs Stephen HawkingMr Hunt keeps criticising Stehen Hawking's understanding of reading scientific evidence in relationship to the future of the NHS. (he uses the medium of twitter for this.). However, cool twitter can be, a proper debate is what is needed. And Stephen Hawking is the prefect person to speak on behalf of the NHS. And Jeremy Hunt is the perfect person to speak on behalf of the government.324 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Rob Galloway

Make Sefton a Frack-free ZoneUnconventional oil and gas extraction (“fracking”) will have an impact on our countryside, climate and local communities. It uses vast quantities of fresh water and chemicals and, as we have seen in America and Australia, this type of extraction has a detrimental impact on our natural resources, the environment, health, noise and air pollution, traffic and local communities. Fracking has also been known to cause earthquakes. The people of Sefton do not want this type of extraction taking place in any part of the borough.965 of 1,000 SignaturesCreated by Paul Bradshaw

Villa RoadVilla Road and Hunters Road are being used as a dumping ground for illegal fly tippers, and as a race track for speeding vehicles. Pavements are impossible to use because of inconsiderate parking. Anti social behaviour has increased since the part sale of the council owned carpark in 2014. This is having a direct impact on local businesses and people living within.63 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Mohammed Ali
