Protect Kent Communities from border checks + traffic chaos in 2019 /2020Evidence (from Institute for Government, British Ports Association, Ports of Dover and Calais, Eurotunnel, Freight Trade Association, Imperial College) shows that M20 and M2 and surrounding roads are likely to become slow traffic jams, if, a) the UK government takes us out of the Customs Union and the Single market, b) we don’t get a ‘no-tariff deal’, and consequently, DOVER and KENT are badly affected by the new border checks that follow. New 2018 evidence is even clearer of how unprepared we are. However we each voted in 2016, we cannot allow our journeys to work, school or health care appointments to be subject to gridlock, that will also affect emergency vehicles and tourists across the channel wanting to visit White Cliffs Country. Delays in the delivery of perishable food could cause ‘stockouts’ in supermarkets, a lack of pickers means crops are being wasted. As a result, food prices will rise, making life yet harsher for the most deprived. Computerised checks don't exist and to introduce them could take 5 years or more. The road infrastructure in East Kent needs to be extensively up-dated, in a SUSTAINABLE manner, if it is to cope. Contraflow is not a solution. We call on the UK government, to agree a ‘no-tariff deal’, to provide decisions and funding for Border Force to prepare adequately for change. We call on Kent County Council, to hold public consultations before February 2019, about the infrastructure needed. We call on all Kent MPs to vote this summer for a ‘no-tariff deal’ that will start to reduce the Kent traffic chaos we are told to expect.135 of 200 SignaturesCreated by S.J. Waite

Save the Glasgow Queen St Station ArchGlasgow residents and visitors have been delighted to see the beautiful 1842 arch revealed in all its glory after the recent demolition of the 1970s Station facade. We'd like to see the arch preserved in the proposed design.12 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Kel @GdTenementGuide

Glasgow Parking (West) CrisisGCC are doing a fantastic job by stealth of fining residents who already hold parking permits. It's night after night, scores of tickets for £60 have been issued. This will drive away our friends, relatives and above all shoppers to Byres Rd. Prepare for a retail meltdown like in 2008 when there were 12 empty shops for 5 years on one of Scotland's alleged Premier shopping street, really! And the parking wardens are not observing for 10 minutes before issuing tickets. The last Labour led council started this scheme to fill their dwindling coffers. I want the SNP led council to fix it ASAP. I didn't vote for this parking regime, neither did the people who have signed this petition. What exactly is the extra revenue being spent on, certainly not the roads! The parking wardens have arrived en mass in white mini vans at gone 6pm and stay in the area until almost 10pm every night. Clearly they are not issuing enough tickets during the daytime to meet their quotas! One person told me allegedly they posse of parking wardens are a private firm bussed in from England, I will investigate further.34 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Gail Gyi

RailPlan20/20 changes - London Bridge to LittlehamptonOn May 20th 2018 Thameslink and Southern train timetable changes. Passenger journeys in London and the south east have more than doubled in the last two decades. With such a growth Thameslink decided to reduce the number of trains on this route from 3 to 2. Both passing from Bedford with not enough capacity for the amount of passengers commuting on this route. In addition, the last train is at 5.55 not suitable for most City workers hence creating work issues work such huge working population. We need more trains!59 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Your Voice

Re-Development for Stallards Skate Park in TrowbridgeThe young people of Trowbridge have moved forward over the last 10 years, as has scootering and skating in general, the park is not accessible to new riders as it is an extreme park and their is no information on the outside of the park to explain the safety aspect to the users of parents. The park has a lot of additional areas that could be easily developed to incorporate a better space for young people and help them from using streets to preform their tricks to increase their ability. The skate Park in Trowbridge is well used and with better facilities to a growing number of young people could be increased further.91 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Sarah Holland

Food for free for all - it should be our right! The UK imports over half the food we consume. There is food poverty in many areas: Yet Councils across the nation plant pretty trees and shrubs in public amenity areas. How much better would it be if we could step outside and find food trees and shrubs growing where we could just help ourselves for free. I lived abroad for a few years and there were orange trees growing wild everywhere, you could just help yourself whenever you wanted, it was great! We can't grow oranges, but there are many crops we could grow. Why can't we pick free food for all? Surely it should be our right!62 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Martin Neicho

Save Meadowbank - People before Private ProfiteersCurrently there are 2 planning applications, one is full planning application for the redevelopment of the new downsized stadium whilst the other application is pre planning proposal that involves the selling off off and using the surrounding surplus land to build student accommodation, hotels and 360+ flats. Only a minority being 'affordable housing'. The development will involve the loss of 150+ mature healthy trees including very rare healthy Wheatley Elms, which the Council has spent millions over the years caring for, and green spaces. All of this will have a detrimental effect on local residents and the wider Edinburgh community for numerous reasons e.g. health, community cohesion, environment. The consultation in 2016 was inadequate and the recent planning application notification list was distributed to approximately 450 homes. While this may be legal, it is inadequate and undermines the Scottish Government policies which push for more community engagement. Local residents and the wider Edinburgh communities deserve to be made aware that they are losing an international sports centre due to sustained and constant lack of Council’s investment and for the sake of private developers’ profit. The proposed redevelopment will not meet the needs of all the current service users.31 of 100 SignaturesCreated by D Burn

Amendment to proposed traffic calming in Over Wallop- The volume and speed of traffic using Over Wallop is inappropriate. - The traffic situation in the village is dangerous with numerous incidents involving pets in recent years and a number of near-misses with school children. - We absolutely support a traffic calming scheme in the village - but do not support certain elements of the scheme as proposed by Hampshire County Council. - The proposed permanent closure of Salisbury Lane will cause a very material increase in traffic on Station Road (as was evidenced during the recent temporary closure of the lane). - It seems inequitable that Station Road should bear the entire traffic burden in the village. - We believe a fairer solution would be that Salisbury Lane remains open and that chicanes are placed on both Station Road and Salisbury Lane to deter use as a cut-through and slow traffic. - This solution should distribute traffic between Salisbury Lane and Station Road, thereby minimising the impact of road traffic on residents of both roads. - In addition, we strongly believe that changes are required to the road layout (introduction of a mini roundabout) at the junction of the Old Stockbridge Road and the A343 at Kentsboro in order to support the flow of traffic away from Over Wallop. This junction is already an accident blackspot which will only get worse if the proposed traffic calming measures are introduced. If your husband, wife, parnter, children (over 18) or others support this petition please ask them to sign individually. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS PETITION IS CONFIDENTIAL AND THAT "SIGNATORIES" NAMES WILL NOT BE DISCLOSED TO ANYONE OTHER THAN THE CHIEF EXECUTIVE OF HAMPSHIRE COUNTRY COUNCIL.28 of 50 SignaturesCreated by Over Wallop Traffic

Save A&E units in South West WalesHywel Dda University Health Board's plans include 3 options - ALL of which will close the A&E units at Glangwili and Withybush hospitals. The Glangwili unit was built relatively recently and Withybush has also been upgraded. The plan calls for building a new major hospital in the countryside "somewhere between Narberth and St Clears". All 3 options list as a disadvantage that patients will have to travel further to access planned and emergency care in an area already poorly served by public transport and with a limited number of ambulance stations and ambulances to cover a large rural area; while it's true we have the excellent Wales Air Ambulance, that can't be everywhere. Making patients travel further to reach A&E could cost lives. A secondary issue arises from the likely difficulty patients and visitors will face in travelling to the proposed new hospital, especially if they don't have access to a car. Zebra CrossingSo many cars, and while there are crossings, there are very far away and inconvenient to cross. This prioritising cars in the city and displacing the right of people. Critical to allow pedestrians to have right on the road and hopefully reduce car use.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Iain Duke

Nationally Recognise Pubs/Clubs & Venues as Community AssetsPlease consider any local café, restaurant, pub, clubs/sports associations and village hall a community asset, i.e. somewhere people can gather and socialise and ensure that these establishments are protected under Planning Law. Under current planning law a change of use is permitted through the planning application process, which in turn initiates a "consultation" process i.e. the community has the opportunity to object to an application. However Planning Officers have a tendency to ignore objections and rubber stamp development, a recent example local to me had 700 petitioned objections 13 written and the support of a Local Councillor, planning was still granted. The Government must support the community and prevent Council's and developers ignoring the wish of the local populous. Media reports that society is changing, and that the mental health of the nation is suffering, could this be because people have become insular by not going out. Pub’s, as an example, used to be a place where the local community met, socialised and resolved local issues between themselves, everybody knew their neighbour, their neighbour’s kids, etc. This sense of community is rapidly being lost. People are sitting at home becoming keyboard warriors and panicking over fake-news, they do not have an outlet to talk to others, attributing to the overall mental health of a Nation. Community assets should be protected by Law and encouraged with lesser rents, exemption from business rates, they after all are providing a service to the public, the local community and at times law enforcement. If a building cannot be maintained in it's current use, an alternative use that benefits the community would be preferable, i.e. conversion to a youth club rather that developed for profit.137 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Jon Buller
