Stop the cuts to our essential Youth Provisions - Young People Matter! What does this mean for our children? Youth Clubs Drastic cuts to our youth service means there will only be 8 youth clubs or even less to cater for the fastest growing youth population in the country. This also means less funding available to third sector community based organisations. As a result there will be very little or no access to positive activities to keep young people engaged with during the evenings, weekends and over the holiday periods in most parts of the borough. Implications: Rise in crime and anti-social behaviour Careers Service Drastic cuts to the Careers Service means there will be very little or no one-to-one support and expert advice available to young people to help them move into further education, university, training, apprenticeship and employment. Tower Hamlets Careers Service saves tax payers around £53 million pounds a year by keeping youth unemployment down, based on research undertaken by the University of York. The Careers Service was instrumental in reducing youth unemployment in Tower Hamlets from 10.9% in 2006 to 3.4% in 2016 through its work in schools and in the community. The Careers Service helps young people with job preparation, realise their career aspirations, overcome barriers to progression and supports them onto higher learning and into good jobs. The Careers Service supports over 4,000 young people every year including those with special needs, looked after children and young offenders. The Careers Service is key to retention, social mobility, economic growth and reducing unemployment. Implications: Rise in youth unemployment Drop in educational attainment Targeted Youth Support Drastic cuts to Targeted Youth Support means there will be very little or no one-to-one support available to vulnerable young people with complex issues to get timely and coordinated help to prevent their problems from escalating or arising at all. Implications: Poor outcomes for our most vulnerable children Rise in long-term unemployment Cuts to these essential services will be detrimental to our children’s future progress and success. There is a 48 hour rule on contagious illness for a reason - so that the whole school isnt infected yet this new scheme penalises those parents who abide by the 48 hour rule putting the rest of the school at risk and not allowing our children to fully recover from their illnesses (reducing their immune systems and need for additional medical care in the future!) The 96% project will also put additional pressure on the NHS for everyday illnesses to be confirmed by already over stretched doctors just so the children arent marked as 'absent'. There needs to be a better way of targeting attendance that doesnt put a huge risk to the health of our schools and add pressure to the NHS, not to mention the cost to our schools in implementing this system.

Unfair on the poorest in society. The new speeding fine is 1.5 x the weekly wage up to a maximum £1,000. So someone on a £300 would be fined £450 and a celebrity on £100,000 a week would pay £1,000 nother £150,000. I believe that the Lower paid individual is less able to pay 1.5 x the weekly wage. So why is there a cap, celebrities will pay more than £1,000 on a bottle of champagne. This not fair and promotes the richest being above the law! The limit must be removed.

Throughout his candidacy and now in the first days of his presidency, Donald Trump has sought to undermine fundamental principles - gender and racial equality, human rights, religious freedom, freedom of the press and preservation of the environment amongst others - that Her Majesty the Queen and the British people hold dear. If a State visit is granted, we believe that it would legitimise a series of beliefs that are fundamentally opposed to those of Her Majesty and the British people.

Surely penalising Women who have to have gynaecological operations, goes against equality at work laws ? Stress induced by bullying employers, or inflexible corporate dogma, makes hard working people more susceptible to other illnesses, putting good employees into a hopeless situation, demoralising them or, in the worst case scenario, facing dismissal for being unfortunate enough to experience several episodes of illness in one year. Employers know who the malingerers are ( or SHOULD, if they are decent employers). Good Employees need support when ill, NOT corporate bullying.

Southeastern do not provide a functioning service. There are frequent delays and cancellations. The service, which a lot of people use to go to work and for their social life, is not reliable. People are having hours added onto their working week because of their incompetence and some are even losing their jobs.

As you may be aware, Glasgow City Council intend to invest £9million in to Byres Road in the west end. There are many areas of Glasgow that would benefit from such a boost to their area, which in turn would increase local economy and infrastructure. But still the city council are focusing on further gentrifying the ''West End'' area. The Norh Shire are a young but thriving small, family ran business. They have dedicated their time and business to bringing alive beautiful buildings from well known books so that fandom's can see their dreams realised by spending a night (or two, or three, or four) in a place that they have only been able to dream of until now. They are one of 16 businesses who currently have permission for their 'Hobit Hole' hideaway. A perfect place for families to take a break from reality and enter into a fairytale world. Their business is growing from strength to strength with the Hobbit Hole being a central point. People are travelling from all over the world to stay, bringing much needed tourism and income to the area. North Shire is based in an area that is suffering an economic crisis as the steel works that provided many jobs and much needed income has closed. It is now more crucial than ever to lift the economy of East Cleveland in Teesside This is why I am asking North York Moors National Park Autority to reconsider their request for The Groundskeeper's Cottage to be built in wood instead of stone. The fandom of which this unique and magical building is based is a continually growing one. It is undeniable how far the fandom reaches and with a current movie trilogy underway, it can only grow. Having a local business build this incredible building (from locally sourced sandstone) can only bring happiness and light, as well as much needed tourism, media attention, and income to this area. In many of the UK's workplaces the wearing of a tie by male employees is both expected and compulsory. In our view, the tie serves no other purpose than to signify the gender of the wearer; in this case male. This is as unfair as women being expected to wear high heels. Men should be able to choose whether to wear a tie or not. Being forced to do so is, in our opinion, both antiquated and sexist.

The result of the UK referendum held in June 2016 on whether the UK should remain a member of the European Union clearly showed that the will of the people is to leave the EU. (Leave 52%, Remain 48%). However, the referendum did not state the terms on which we should leave or policies that should be agreed once we have left. MPs and Parliament need to be given an opportunity through a 'free' vote to debate and agree Brexit policy by representing the views of constituents, rather than the imposed views of their respective political parties.
