• David Cameron initiate an official enquiry into Islamophobia in the London Mayoral Election
The election has been marred by Islamophobic claims made against the Labour Candidate for The London Mayoral Election. This has brought British Democracy into disrepute and will exacerbate distrust in and disillusionment with the electoral system and UK Government by both Islamic people and other minorities. This sets a dangerous precedent for future elections, will divide society further, will increase a sense amongst British minorities that they cannot expect fair and just treatment from British Government and reduce the sense amongst many that there is any point in engaging in democracy. It may in addition increase the risk of instability in The UK.

  • Add Speed Awareness / Traffic Calming Measures to Llanfairpwll
As local residents we have observed traffic frequently speeding dangerously through the village. The whole community young and old are vulnerable to cars speeding past, especially when trying to cross over the road. Nowhere is this more apparent than where traffic initially enters the village at the Menai Bridge end. At this point a busy staggered junction causes an initial crash hazard, then the petrol garage and the school. At school drop off and pick up times traffic is hazardous due to the chaos but speed is restricted by the number of parked cars. However at other times such as early morning and late afternoon the speeds are excessive, and especially in the evening. An introduction of a Vehicle Activated Sign (flashes 30 to remind traffic to slow down) would prompt drivers to reduce their speed upon entrance into the village before approaching the school or other pedestrian likely areas.

  • Free Local Train Travel for England's Pensioners
Many pensioners are isolated, lonely and trapped in pensioner poverty. Buses do not provide toilets or comfort for many with mobility or health issues. South Yorkshire Freedom Riders have long campaigned for their concession to be returned and for it to be extended to all on the above grounds as well as social needs. For example many now find hospital treatment is no longer local but regional and often impossible to travel to by bus. If it's good enough for pensioners in London then it's only right that all pensioners in England have the same concession.

  • Ban Dangerous Pesticides in Edinburgh region
The use of glyphosates has already been banned or restricted in 8 countries. It is not acceptable that ourselves, our children and the animals we share our community with are being routinely exposed to these chemicals whether we like it or not. This is a matter of great importance for those of us who care about each other's health and the health of our children, our cats, our dogs and all the flora and fauna of this city. • Address the affront to democracy that is the House of Lords
In May 2015 the electorate of Caithness, Sutherland & Easter Ross returned Dr Paul Monaghan as their MP, a massive swing of 27 percent had unseated the sitting Lib Dem MP, John Thurso. Incredibly less than twelve months later and following an electoral process that allowed three Lib Dem Hereditary Peers to determine his selection, John Thurso again became a Hereditary Peer in the House of Lords with the title of Viscount Thurso. The fact that John Thurso can now be in a position to affect the democratic will of his successor is an affront to democracy that totally unacceptable in a modern democracy in the 21st century.

  • Save woodlands in Brighton And Hove.
Woodland conservation is important to save our woodland and save animals habitats also it will help our atmosphere get rid of CO2. For this reason, it would be particularly effective to plant more trees in high-pollution areas such as Preston Circus and Lewes Road.

  • A zebra crossing on every street
There is a serious lack of pedestrian crossings in the Wester Hailes/Longstone/Sighthill areas and all over Edinburgh. Entire streets are currently left without a single pedestrian crossing – streets that have access to homes, shops and parks, where families go and people walk their dogs. There are intersections and bus routes, but no pedestrian crossings. Pedestrian crossings are needed at the Dumbryden Dr/Murrayburn Rd/Parkhead Dr junction, at the Hailesland Rd end of Dumbryden Dr, on Longstone Rd, and as far afield as Hermiston Gait on Cutlins Rd. Murrayburn Primary school does not have a single crossing anywhere around it. These are but a few suggestions and each is as good as any to start making our streets safer. Drivers NEVER stop when seeing some parent with their child or elderly people waiting to cross the road, simply because there is no zebra crossing anywhere to tell drivers to stop if someone is waiting to cross. The Edinburgh council tells me that, for a street to have a crossing, there needs to be a costly assessment of it, using a nationwide mathematical formula (PV2, or PV squared), to do with the ratio of pedestrian/car. then there can't be a simple zebra crossing like everywhere else in the world, but beacons that cost more money to install and upkeep. They also tell me there are some "islands" to help cross the street in two stages. Some of those islands are so narrow a buggy doesn't fit on them. The solution? Do away with the assessment and the unnecessary beacon and simply paint white lines at every street junction and intersection. Children and elderly and disabled people live in these areas. Isn't their safety – our safety – important? EVERY STREET should have a safe zebra crossing at an intersection.

  • Make the Supermarkets come clean about the cost of leaving the EU
The supermarket giants will have been researching the additional logistical and other costs of Brexit, and they should reveal their findings to consumers who will either have to fork out more for their shopping or maybe not. The public have the right to know. They don't have to take sides, just tell the truth.

  • Say No to the Prime Minister sending our armed services into action without a vote
Going to war affects us all and is something that must be debated and voted on in Parliament. Mr Cameron says Parliament should not make the decision as MP's are "ill-informed" We cannot allow our country to be high-jacked in this way by Mr David Cameron. It is too easy for one man to be compromised or swayed by vested interests. A Parliamentary debate and vote is our safeguard against this.

  • Road Safety for Greenbank School Children on Smithdown Road
Liverpool City Council have already decided to cut some school crossing patrols (Lollipop ladies/men) because they are not a statutory service and therefore they do not have a legal obligation to keep our children safe. Although Greenbank Primary’s School crossing patrol was cut, Greenbank School along with more than another 50 schools have stepped in to fund this vital service. As you are all more than aware, a huge redevelopment is taking place on Smithdown Road, many of us have raised concerns about making this road much safer for pedestrians. This is the perfect opportunity to request Liverpool City Council to make this junction between Smithdown Road and Greenbank Road much safer to cross. After several emails to the City Council and local Councillors I recently raised this issue with the school. I was asked to collate the support of lots of parents so I have develop this petition: This is of the upmost importance as the road is very busy with traffic and all of us who travel to and from the primary school, nursery and park need the highest of road safety. The council have worked in partnership with the University of Liverpool to add a crossing for students to access Greenbank Park because the road crossing there is dangerous. Do we not all believe that our children deserve the same level of safety?
