• Make house-buying fairer
In highly competitive markets that favour sellers, such as that in London at present, house sellers often renege on the agreement to sell, or increase the price after accepting an offer. This is distressing, time-consuming and costly for buyers, who are already faced with rapidly increasing house prices. Some buyers go through this process several times, costing them thousands of pounds in wasted fees. Vendors can continue to remarket properties, often through different agents, once sales have been agreed. The sales process is slowed down, buyers are misled and some agents do not receive their fees. Many house sales form part of a chain. If one person in the chain reneges on their agreement, this has financial and emotional implications for many others. Through no fault of their own, buyers miss out on houses, prices must be renegotiated or extra funds found. All this causes distress and increased financial pressure. Until completion, there is no guarantee or protection for buyers or sellers. This makes an already stressful process even more painful, frustrating and costly than it needs to be. In Scotland, there is far more protection. Should the seller attempt to accept a higher bid after a written offer and acceptance, their solicitor will refuse to act for them as this, according to the Law Society of Scotland code of practice, would be professional misconduct. The same rules should apply to England and Wales. This will reduce house price inflation, and make the process fairer and more transparent.

  • Save Duncan Down, Whitstable, Kent.
We are endeavouring to create a country park on the only existing green space left in Whitstable. It is our intention to restore ancient woodland by planting a large number of native trees, creating a large wildlife meadow, a community park with first class disabled access, a safe and natural environment for child to play in and working with and the guidance of Kent Wildlife Trust in order to improve the area.

  • Cancer Research UK: don't partner with dirty Shell
Cancer Research UK is holding a 'big weekend BBQ to beat cancer' - but unfortunately it's sponsored by Shell, a company responsible for BBQ-ing the planet, and for contributing towards some of the causes of cancer. There are plenty of companies in the UK who could sponsor Cancer UK's important work. But by partnering with a dirty energy company like Shell they are sending out a message that one of the world's biggest fossil fuel operations - which includes reckless plans to drill for oil in the fragile Arctic, and to carry on contributing to air pollution and climate change - is acceptable. Let's draw the line on Shell sponsoring Cancer Research UK - sign the petition! For more information on the event which Shell is sponsoring please read: http://www.cancerresearchuk.org/support-us/do-your-own-fundraising/bbq To read the Cancer Research UK blog on air pollution please read: http://scienceblog.cancerresearchuk.org/2013/10/18/the-link-between-air-pollution-and-cancer/ For more information on why Shell isn't an appropriate partner please read: http://platformlondon.org/oil-the-arts/ http://www.greenpeace.org.uk/tags/arctic http://www.shareaction.org/arcticshell

  • MPs should wear the company logos of all the companies sponsoring them
This is important because the voters of this country who only have the influence of a single vote at election time deserve to know who the influence peddlers are and who is paying them.

  • Show your disgust of the BBC!
The only way the BBC will learn that we are disgusted with the overt bias they have given UKIP over the past year is to vote with our feet; well, remote controls. If viewing figures drop they may then get the hint. (This is also the best way to have a more pleasurable evening!)

  • Supermarkets, stop selling non recyclable packaging!
I would like to ask you do something about the horrendous waste of resources regarding supermarkets and food packaging companies. Supermarkets own brand products are generally cheaper, but my observation is that this comes at the expense of using non recyclable packaging. All large companies even Aldi which gives a large well informed pledge to their commitment to the environment and yet at the same time most of their products packaging is non-recyclable? other large chains sell their own brand products too, again a lot of these seem to come also in non recyclable packages. In this day and age when we are being encouraged, and some do their utmost, to recycle as much as we can our bins are stuffed with this stuff which ends up in landfill- What is going on? why if some companies can do it then why not all. All our food should come this way - Also less of it too, as its totally unnecessary!

  • Petition: Public parks for the public - Castle Park closure 2014
Parks and green spaces have been shown to improve the wellbeing of local people and attract visitors from further afield. According to Bristol City Council's Parks and Green Spaces Strategy the centre of Bristol is lacking in green space, so temporary park closures would further deplete this green space. Parks are a Public Service owned and run by the council on behalf of the People of Bristol and should not be exploited as a way to generate revenue.

  • Back reform on the use of medicinal Marijuana
Numerous countries have now realised the benefits of this drug. They have taken it out of the drug barons hands an have organised it. They now have revenue and employment opportunities within this growing sector but the most important part is that it is saving lives. We need to forward think and not be bogged down with old ways of thinking regarding this wonder drug. It's the future of pharmacy.

  • Fair use of Concessionary Pass for those who live within TfL Zones that not run by London Boroughs
The residents who live within TfL zone 6 who have London Freedom Pass are recognisable accepted to use all TfL transport and National. ENCTS passes are not. It is because some areas within TfL zone 6 are not managed bt the London Borough Councils. As we live within TfL zone 6 and managed by Tanridge Council (Surrey), those residents who live in London have Freedom Pass take their granted for using our nearest railway stations for free travel to/from London that our ENCTS disabled concessionary pass cannot. This is unfair. Have they met the Equality Act 2010 regarding our concessionary passes that are limited use whilst people with London Freedom Passes can be used everywhere in England including all TfL transport? I discovered that the funds for TfL are partly from the Central Government Fund where we pay our taxes, why we don't have this benefit?
