Keep the Mount Pleasant bus as an hourly serviceIt's not fair to leave the older generation on the estate without the freedom of this hourly service. Often they only need to pop into town and then return on the hourly bus. To have to wait 2 hours for a return bus is unacceptable.129 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Julie Joosten

School uniform costs are out of control. Not everyone has the money to buy even one school uniform at the inflated price the school charges. Examples of the overpricing for example, trousers at supermarket are priced between £3-£4. School suppliers often charge £15-£18 for the same. Typically, children need at least 3 pairs of trousers and 5 shirts/blousers.484 of 500 SignaturesCreated by jolene cardie

Speed limit for Tattershall Market PlaceBecause traffic along Sleaford Road which forms on side of the Market Place travels far too quickly. There is a central reservation in Sleaford Road that crosses to the Market Place but because there are blind bends north and south of the Market Place people crossing to that reservation are at risk. Traffic breaks the law and comes off the northern bend with only 20 yards to reservation. I know of several people who have had near misses and abuse from drivers who resented having to slow. Lodge Road joins Sleaford Road from Woodhall Spa just by the reservation making another hazard. It really is a miracle that there have not been deaths already. Another possibility is to introduce traffic light controlling the Lodge Road intersection. But as a first step to saving lives I advocate a 20mph speed limit on all roads through the Market Place. If that doe not work then there should be traffic lights.4 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Brooke Lane

Thank You Gina Miller!Gina Miller has suffered abuse and threats of violence from hateful people who do not understand the situation, and do not care to learn. We want Ms Miller to know that we will not stand for this bullying. It is not representative of the best British tradition of tolerance and acceptance of the rule of law, free speech, and due process. We will continue to oppose all forms of hatred and it is a testament to Ms Miller's character that she persevered under such tremendous pressure. The lies and bias in tabloid newspapers, on social media and propagated by bots has convinced some individuals that Ms Miller has obstructed democracy - but we fully understand that the opposite is true, and are forever grateful to her for this. Thank you Gina! https://files.38degrees.org.uk/items/files/000/000/111/display/brexit.gif4,163 of 5,000 SignaturesCreated by Danielle Anson

wet wipes: require manufacturers to make them bio-degradeableInstead of trying to guilt the users, why not require manufacturers to make these useful items bio-degradeable? There are those of us with medical problems (colo-rectal issues) for whom wet wipes have been an absolute Godsend. But in these cases it would not be possible to dispose of them in domestic waste as they are akin to common toilet tissues. Bio-degradeable versions would be an obvious answer. Surely the manufacturers could be encouraged or even required to develop a sewer-friendly version rather than keep blaming the users.43 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Miss J. A. Fox

Eastbourne Library ClosuresOur libraries give their local communities not only the opportunity to borrow books but also provide them with the opportunity to use the internet which is something many cannot afford to have in their own homes. The libraries have for many years also been used to introduce local school children to the joy of reading. Over the years I have often been in the library when library assistants, with the assistance of their teachers , have been reading stories to them. Whilst you could argue this could always be carried out in school, which it could, the act of them leaving their school as a group and walking to the library is also teaching them how to behave in public. The libraries also provide a brilliant service to the elderly who want to use the internet but possess neither the money to be able to have it installed at home or indeed are not confident enough to attempt to use it without assistance. Librarians provide a sterling service in being able to assist them if they do have difficulty in using the internet. We have already had libraries closed within the Eastbourne area which has caused difficulties for many people but these further cuts are a cut too far. If these proposed closures are allowed to go ahead it will be mainly those on low incomes that will be affected, many of whom are elderly. Please sign this petition to stop this round of cuts but at the same time contact your local councillors and MPs to support this petition.97 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Ted Edwards

No Tesco at Whitton/London Road TwickenhamTwickenham High Street has a high turnover of shops, and the dreaded 'Twickenham Refurbishment' sees many small independent shops constantly close down. Another Tesco is not required on the parade killing the few small independent shops that are already established at that end of the high street. What is needed in Twickenham is variety of shops to bring a higher social impact to the community and more people to the high street. This is not a good location for a Tesco which will have an adverse affect on traffic and noise for local residential neighbours. Numerous alternatives exist that would better serve the local community and strengthen its economy in these tough financial times. There are already 5 other Tesco's within a short distance of the proposed location. When the planning application is received, planning officers must notify the public or neighbours, and consult with other council departments and any other affected people or organisations. The statutory consultation period is three weeks. I will post the link here when the application has been added to the online planning portal. If there are issues of concern, the planning department will instigate a review meeting within six weeks of registration of the application and identify amendments that could address any issue or problems.238 of 300 SignaturesCreated by Alex Powell

Please Think Again: Don't fell our tree"The 150-year-old beech tree, next to the ground of North Ribblesdale Rugby Union Club, on public land within a Conservation area, has been earmarked to go as part of plans to improve drainage of the pitches, which can get heavily waterlogged in winter. Permission for the tree to be cut down was given by Craven District Council planners in June. But members of ROOTS - Respect Our Old Trees in Settle - have called upon the rugby club to come up with another scheme which would leave the tree intact." We feel that not enough time has been allowed to look at alternatives to destroying a healthy, mature tree. The tree is part of a beautiful avenue of trees. We do support improvements to the Rugby Club field beside it but wish to preserve the tree & believe this can be achieved. Quotes taken from Stuart Thompson's article in the Settle Herald and Pioneer on the 13th September: http://www.cravenherald.co.uk/news/15530647.More_Settle_townsfolk_join_group__39_s_campaign_to_save_rugby_club_beech_tree/ Please have a look at this short film made independently by a local person https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DmCO1VBn3U0859 of 1,000 SignaturesCreated by Angie Pedley
