Stop the downgrading of Fair Trade! The global grass roots Fair Trade movement is under threat and we need to act now to dispel the myth that the Fair Trade global movement is coming to an end. In light of the Fairtrade Foundation's announcement that they are proud to be partnering with Cadbury, to expand their cocoa sourcing program - Cocoa Life - which will include a FAIRTRADE Mark on a product that does not contain FAIRTRADE cocoa. We the undersigned call on the UK and European Fair Trade movement to unite in expressing our grave concern that this is a further watering down of the Fair Trade Principles that underpin the global Fair Trade movement. Gaining access and winning over the big players of the market was never the intention of Fair Trade. We call on ALL the Fair Trade players, in the UK and Europe, to resist the downgrading of Fair Trade by the dominant players, to a market driven charity! We call on all Fair Trade stakeholders, in the UK, including the Fairtrade Foundation, to unite under one banner to form a constituted National Platform, representing the voice of the whole UK movement. A platform that empowers the producer to set the price - a bottom up approach that is based on a social and environmentally responsible economy. A special place where producers set their price and engage in a sustainable mutually rewarding relationship with their customers and which encourages responsible consumers.180 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Phil Broadis

Save the 08.20am daily Aberdeen to Penzance cross country trainA UK Cross Country network requires that passengers and potential passengers have to make as few changes en route as possible. If Aberden passengers and passengers between Aberden and Edinburgh have to chage trains at Edinburgh Waverley rail travel is no longer attractive. Connections will be missed. It wil be difficult for passengers with a lot of luggage, children, or are disabled or infirm to move across Edinburgh Waverley to find a so called connecting train or in many cases impossible for people to use the trains if they have to change trains. Chaining trains is not attractive to passengers.13 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Andy Brown

Stop mobile phone networks charging to connect to the police 101 serviceA short while ago I had a nusance neighbour and was asked to provide information to the police by a housing association every time the neighbour caused a disturbance on the 101 service It wasn't until I got my bill that I found out that was charged every time I had called. Ordinarily a one off charge once in a blue moon but on one occasion I had phoned in 7 -8 times a day This soon adds up. Luckily for me it was only for a few weeks. The person was later charged and moved to a different location. And my family was thanked for their help. The crux is that if I called 999 every time I wouldn't have been charged. As yet I do not know if the other networks charge for connecting to the 101 service or even the 111 service17 of 100 SignaturesCreated by ian cooper

Don’t stop the 2 bus from Hopping: maintain the 2 bus service at three buses an hourDon’t stop the 2 bus from Hopping: maintain the 2 bus service at three buses an hour. A plea to Stagecoach (South West), to restore the regular three buses an hour to and from Exeter and Dawlish and Teignmouth, and to introduce an express bus service which only calls at bus-stops on the A379 during peak commuting times. The current bus timetable, which commenced on 3rd January 2017, features a drastically-reduced bus service between Dawlish and Exeter, especially during the peak commuting times. For people who work in Exeter between the Topsham Road, Barrack Road, Heavitree Road, and the Exeter bus station, the two buses an hour during peak times is an insult to hard-working people who are suffering from having to stand on double-decker buses. Similarly, for the schoolchildren and young people who use the ‘Hop 2’ bus * to attend schools and colleges in Exeter, many of which are accessed along Barrack Road, and Heavitree Road. (The 2b bus service does not service these bus-stops.) The cuts in service greatly affects not only the working population of Teignmouth, Kingsteignton, Bishopsteignton, Dawlish, Cockwood, Starcross, Kenton, and Exminster, who use the ‘Hop 2’ service to get to and from work, for example at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital – both sites, and at Devon County Council’s HQ at Topsham Road; the school-children and young people who use the Hop2 service to get to and from school or college. The cuts in the 2 service affects all sections of the communities of Dawlish, Cockwood, Kenton, Starcross, Bishopsteignton, Kingsteignton, and Teignmouth; not only from the reduction in the number of buses on in the reduced Hop2 service, but also from the resultant over-crowding of the buses that are running on the 2 bus service. If, as Stagecoach maintain, the route is not commercially viable, we urge that instead of cutting the service, that Stagecoach South West looks at ways of making the 2 bus service viable. If a town in East Devon is allowed to maintain its service of four buses an hour, we urge that Stagecoach explore options to better the current service, and increase viability for the Hop2 bus service, for example with express buses that only stop at bus-stops on the main route, the A379. The people of Dawlish, Teignmouth, Kingsteignton, Bishopsteignton, Starcross, Cockwood, and Kenton, deserve equal treatment. Furthermore, with all the new housing developments, planned and in progress, there are many more people looking for ways to get to work, the shops, and to colleges. We urge that Devon County Council keeps to its plans for sustainable transport for all, and to work with the Stagecoach, the local bus operator to improve the public transport bus service in the Hop 2 area. A well-maintained, Hop2 bus service, with increased efficiency, and an express bus service, will increase opportunities for all in our communities. We, the undersigned urge that Stagecoach improves the current Hop2 bus service, with an express bus service and 3 buses an hour during peak commuting times and the busy season on the number 2 route. ‘Hop 2’ bus is the name that is used on all vehicles running on the 2 bus service route. *1,094 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Cllr Alison Foden

NO to Waste Processing Unit in West Acton. As a parent whose child attends West Acton Primary, I have a concern for the effects it will have on our children and for the local residents living in the area. Some waste will eventually rot, but not all, and in the process it may smell. The noise, dirt and increased traffic in a already congested area and other polluting effects. We urge you to take action against the waste dump coming to our beautiful neighbourhood. This could effect people suffering with asthma and health of your children attending school at West Acton and other local schools.532 of 600 SignaturesCreated by Zamzam Elmi

Equality for Kinship carers and KidsKinship carers are family members (aunts, uncles and grandparents etc) that take care of children whose parents, can no longer take care of their children. This may be due to the parents having drug or alcohol dependencies, being abusive or otherwise unable to cope with parenting. Kinship carers are often the preferred choice by social services when they need to re-home a child because it maintains the children's connections with their families. However kinship careers and the children they look after receive very little or none of the support given to those in foster homes or care. Kinship carers alter their own lives to care for family members children and this is a sacrifice that needs acknowledgement. I know first hand the struggles associated with kinship care and many families including my own are left with little or no support. We are driven by love for the children and a huge commitment to improve an often poor early life. due to legislation children that are not "looked after" by local authority are not able to easily access support services and this needs to change. Our children have suffered the same emotional heartache and turmoil as any other child in care. They need to be counted and acknowledged too.4,458 of 5,000 SignaturesCreated by lana gayle

Keep The Hole In The Roof Open! The Noise Abatement Order served on The Hole In The Roof will have a dramatic impact on the premises itself, its' staff and its' customers. The premises has operated as a late night, entertainment venue with local and nationally known acts/DJ's. Within Deal itself (and the wider area) there is a distinct lack of music venues and/or safely operated premises which can offer the style of entertainment The Hole In The Roof has provided. If the Noise Abatement Order continues to over rule the use of music in the premises, the foreseeable future of the premises will be in jeopardy. Staff members have become affected by the change already, some have lost their positions already, some have lost hours, and in the near future it is possible that their will be further losses. Customers have noticed the change and will lose out on The Hole In The Roof bringing local and nationally known acts (such as, The Hoosiers, Wheatus, Reef, Vernon Kay, etc) to the town, providing a much needed source of entertainment for the community. The Hole In The Roof did have plans in place for 2017 which involved many more groups, DJ's and entertainers. However, due to the Noise Abatement Order, these plans have all been dropped or placed on hold. The Hole In The Roof is a leading member of DPAC (Dover Protection Against Crime) and prides itself on it's excellent door staff and safe premises. There are no licencing issues with the site and the numbers who frequent the premises are a sign of its' popularity. The premises was originally built in 1694, and over time it was since demolished and rebuilt a few feet back from it's original position to widen the road around it. The pub has been a staple of Deal's nightlife and drinking culture for many years and has undergone many changes.1,269 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Richard Harris

Don't scrap the night time mental health service at Royal Free hospital, Camden! This winter the Royal Free is not providing night-time cover for the mental health liaison service between 9pm and 8am, which it has provided over the last 2 years. This will have devastating effects for some of the most vulnerable people in London over Christmas. The Camden and Islington Foundation Trust has lobbied to get the funding and is very disappointed that it has not been given. They have identified the following risks this winter: • Service users attending the Royal Free Hospital with mental health needs or on Section 136 of the Mental Health Act between 9pm and 8am may experience long waits to see a mental health professional. • Waits to be assessed by a mental health professional may be even longer for those service users who are not residents of Camden and Islington. • The quality of experience for service users will deteriorate if they are subject to long waits for assessment. The below named service user groups are asking Camden and Barnett commissioners and the Royal Free NHS Foundation Trust to pay for this vital service: Camden Borough User Group (CBUG) Islington Borough User Group (IBUG) Nubian User Forum (NUF) Women's Strategy Group Recovery College Camden Frontline Rehabilitation and Recovery Side by side network Substance Misuse Division Care Quality Review Group Personality Disorder Service1,309 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Dan Slee

Save Rodrigo from deportationOur system is broken, no love no compassion. When a system forces a marriage apart, takes a law abiding, non benefit claiming guy away from his job and family. How can this be right? Rodrigo and Jess are lovely kind, gentle people who are a huge asset to this country, please help save them. But more importantly fix the system that allows bad people to stay and good people to suffer.2,758 of 3,000 SignaturesCreated by David Hardy

'Opt-out' Organ Donation system in the UKMany people in the UK are dying unnecessarily because of a shortage of organ donations available under the current system that requires individuals to register as organ donors. A year ago Wales introduced an 'opt-out' system that assumed a willingness to donate unless one specifically registered an objection in advance. The system still allows for the family to be consulted prior to donation. Since the introduction of the new law in 2015, 160 organ transplants have been undertaken, 39 of which were from 'deemed consent' donors; that's 39 people who's lives have been saved or majorly improved in Wales alone. The Welsh Government hopes to achieve a figure of 25% over time. (International Medical Press, 05 December 2016.) The British Medical Association (BMA) have advocated such a system since 1999 as the best option regarding obtaining consent and passed a resolution on the 22nd of June 2016 to urge doctors to lobby their respective governments to adopt a system similar to that in Wales. (International Medical Press, 23 June 2016.) It's clear from the results in Wales in just one year , that such a system nationwide would save hundreds of lives by making life-saving organs more readily available.668 of 800 SignaturesCreated by David Brigden

Yes to affordable homes for teachers, no to an unwanted Free School!A new school with sixth form provision will bring over extra 1,000 pupils to an already busy and congested part of Islington, right next to two Secondary Schools, both of which are rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted, as well as numerous local primary schools and childcare settings. Islington already has sufficient school places. Having spent £33.5M on the Ladbroke House building to provide a school that is not wanted or needed, the Department for Education should listen to the local community and use the building to provide affordable housing for keyworkers, including local teachers, who are priced out of living in Islington.1,055 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Joe Caluori
