By raising the alarm in this way we can challenge Highways, Police, Local Councils and Essex CC to investigate at a serious level speeding traffic. The levels of pollutant discharge, noise pollution through speeding is unacceptable to us, especially at 'rush hours' and travelling lorries at 4.00 am onwards. For our children and grandchildren we owe it to them for a moratorium on speeding through villages. Many wondering wild animals and at times, pets are fatally wounded or killed outright by speeding vehicles. We find the disinterest by authorities that should care, insulting, which would if they cared, affect the wellbeing of our neighbourhoods, as well as reduce the levels of pollutants and discharges onto the sidewalks. People in the village of Sible Hedingham for example fear walking from Potter Street to the village shops (a matter of half a mile) as speeding traffic is too near the curb for safely walking, which force them, including many of our elderly, to use their cars, and so the cycle continues.

During the redesign of Arundel Square play facilities, extra funding was secured to provide equipment for 7-14 year olds. This funding is now being used to install a second sit-up bench adjacent to the existing workout area. This was not the intended use of the additional funds. Moreover, the existing sit-up bench is rarely used so there is no demand for a second. The proposed site is the area between the playground and the workout equipment which many families use for seating as it is shaded and has clear sight lines to the playground and the rest of the park. The installation of the sit up bench will actively disadvantage the families it was intended to support. The equipment is due to be installed imminently so please act quickly to reconsider this use of space. Use the funding for its intended purpose - play equipment for 7-14 year olds.

This is incredibly important for the skate/bmx/blader community in Lincoln. We currently don’t even have a skate park. Having a safe, sheltered space that we can use over the winter would be incredibly beneficial for the mental health of local riders and will inevitably grow our scene into something that is actually recognised by the city of Lincoln council.

The recent introduction of charging residents in the London Borough of Barnet to park outside their own homes is a part of a part of a national money-making scheme There can be no justification whatsoever to charging residents to park outside their own homes. I have lived in my property for over 40 years and parked free until a few months ago. 'Resident Parking Only' is a good idea, but charging the residents for it, is nothing more than revenue raising and only increases the financial hardship and stress that the UK population are already suffering. In my particular case, there isn't enough parking space available in the first place due to an ill-conceived width restriction sited in the worst possible position. I have raised my complaints with Barnet Council, the local MP and the Mayor of London without success. I cannot imagine how many residents up and down the country that must be in similar situations. Barnet Council say that charging residents is an administration fee, for what?
