We need to improve connectivity from Harrow view to other parts of Harrow and beyond. The population of Harrow is increasing and there are new developments such as Eastman village and the transport links need to improve to support the increased capacity that the increased population and New developments will have.

There is a lack of facilities for people of all ages to develop skills and engage in community building across the Wear Valley, an area of high deprivation.

The 2 roads of Queen Street and York Street are so narrow and so dangerous to pedestrians. Safety for all shoppers, especially the elderly, disabled and pushchair users. I have seen so many close calls involving cars and shoppers. There is ample parking in the multi-story and the businesses have rear access for deliveries etc. There may be a need for some access in certain circumstances and so it should be paved as the other part of Queen Street is. It is difficult to understand why this was not paved at the same time the rest of town was pedestrianised.

The 'Homes for Ukraine' scheme was considered a 'significant success' and helped over 100,000 Ukrainians, therefore I am confident a similar scheme would also prove to be as helpful in this case. The scheme would also once again highlight the kindness, compassion and generosity of the British public in welcoming refugees into their lives and homes once again. Something needs to be done urgently before the UK faces an even bigger crisis. This issue is of huge concern, and not just to those facing homelessness. Some of these individuals have been given just 7 days to leave asylum accommodation, prior to this many of them had no legal right to work here. With no work, they have no money, with no money how are they supposed to access food? Sadly, many are forced to turn to crime just to access basic needs. Refugees are advised to open bank accounts and claim Universal Credit upon receipt of their 'right to remain' papers. A bank account is not easy to open without a permanent address, especially now as a growing number of banks and building societies will not acknowledge asylum hotels as a 'permanent address'. Applying for Universal Credit is also not easy to do without including bank details in the initial application. These individuals are also at real risk of being exploited by criminal gangs, due to their vulnerable state - they are more at risk of being groomed by sex and/or drug traffickers. Many are then forced into addiction and prostitution to make money and pay off debts. These are just a few of the barriers refugees in the UK face after being told they have their 'right to remain'. Therefore, in helping these people into safe environments where they get a decent chance to rebuild their lives, we would also be helping to prevent criminal activity and ease the burden on our already overstretched GP practices and hospitals. I would please urge you to consider the above, sooner rather than later.

The residents of 1-16 Beauchamp Road SE19 3BZ are greatly affected by the increased use of their road as a short cut. At rush hour, there are queues of idling cars that cause pollution, frequent honking of horns and occasional arguments. When the road is clear, drivers race down it at dangerous speeds. The majority of residents have had their cars damaged, more than once. The road is unsafe for pedestrians.

The SEND students should not be forgotten about after 18 years old. Day centres are not enough. SEND students also matter and they deserve to have their own college for over 18 year old. Where they can continue their education with their friends that they've already bonded with. This way learning life skills, how to be independent will build their confidence in life. My son is 20 years old he enjoys going to college but after this academic year the college cannot accept him back. I have searched the whole of Newham for a college that accepts over 19s but there is not a single one. This is heartbreaking because there are a lot of students like him who are stuck unless they look for colleges outside the borough.

As workplace pension pots increase because people are contributing to them longer then so will the amount of tax that people will pay when they activate them in their retirement. Pensioners have been paying towards the state pension all their working lives. Taking the state pension out of the taxable income equation will give pensioners a tangible financial boost

The Government appears determined to find new ways to squeeze the poor to give their rich friends a cut in their taxes. Universal Credit is squeezing individuals into food banks or into debt as they try and feed and cloth themselves while this government finds ways to cut taxes. > We have half the population in fuel poverty. > We have wages that have fallen behind inflation for the last 12 years! Those who are forced to ask for help get a pittance from the state forcing people into debt and despair while the government tries to find new ways to provide tax cuts to the rich. Those who try and earn their way out of the situation find they loose 55p out of every £1 they are paid even though they have to pay to travel for work. Once the children have flown the nest there is no allowance before this happens. As a result families see family allowance go, the loss of maintenance from ex spouses and the loss of the dispensation for a person who is earning a pittance on part time work. If the children remain at home and are also unemployed, this drop can amount to several hundred of pounds a week in their cumulative income. Why tax someone on poverty wages 55% and yet tax high earners only 40%? Those workers who struggle to get full time work can find that the cost of travel and increasing transport costs can prevent them escaping and entering the world of work. If they can only find low paid work, the earnings less the costs to get to work means they can end up paying to work. If someone is an unpaid carer for an adult family member, for example, they are still expected to look for work. We should not be forcing people on benefits to pay to work rather than work for pay. Slavery was thankfully abolished, why are the Tories trying to reintroduce the idea. Do you think its right to put the squeeze on those in receipt of Universal Credit to fund cuts in taxes? Do you believe that we need to help others less fortunate than ourselves? Or common humanity? Why should the poor fund the richer getting richer? Please end this and ensure that those on Universal Credit have the means to survive.

A lot of SEN children have low esteem and no confidence as they feel like they are failing every year. They fall behind their peers as there is a lack of funding to give them the support they need. Also as a parent it is hard to prove to them the progress they have achieved as the school report year in year out tells them they are working below expected target. But for some of these children they are working to a target that they can achieve so why is the expected level not theirs and not that of their peers. My daughter has been told she can't do level 1 art as she can't progress to level 2 as she doesn't have GCSE maths and English, even though she is good at art. The year before that told she can't do hairdressing as she didn't have these GCSE's! She can not do what she wants as the system doesn't provide and won't give her a chance. She is fortunate to be doing work skills which is designed to get her into meaningful work, but, unlike other children her age, she doesn't get much choice in the matter. Please sign this petition to try and get a better education system with more functional skills at school level to help these young people more to gain their full potential, make them feel empowered and valued from day one. Stop letting the system write them off. Make them asses them in what they can do with a more tailored curriculum for those that can't access the current curriculum for what ever reason.

Are insurance companies profiteering?

The government's line is they are saying they will penalise children for anti social behaviour, but what are they doing to find out children turn to anti social behaviour? I questioned our local M.P. Sir John Whittingdale at his reselection in May. No answer was his reply. I suggested the following reasons why they were turning to anti social behaviour: - One or both parents trying to make ends meet in this economic crisis - Teachers are not allowed to discipline children - Too much violence in online gaming, shooting and stabbing the characters with no consequences. - Too easily accessible recreational drugs. My answer is, I have bought a lot of play items to hopefully set up a youth club. And also offer this equipment to be taken to other parishes after advertising days and dates for the children to come and enjoy themselves. Why hasn't Maldon District Council or Essex County Council done anything for the children during the recent summer holidays? We need to help the children and the future adults of this world to learn to respect others, to call for and expect better facilities and projects for our children. This subject is important because it will teach our children to respect others through example, to learn how to communicate with other children, to encourage them to come out of their room, and get more involved, as well as getting some fresh air. To get them off of continuously sitting on their online gaming, and watching unsuitable items that are not suitable for them to watch.
