because at the moment most of sheltered housing consists of buildings looking like the people are locked in and not part of the community what i want see is the minister for housing not only allowing new designs being introduced with the consultation of what people want to live in but a design of housing that people want to live in i am in a shelterd housing block that reminds me of my nation service in the barrackroom

The British gov't can not be allowed to continue their attempts to silence the legitimate criticism of the Israeli occupation and those who spend their lives struggling against it.

Marriage break. Ups and one side. Not getting fair access to their children have no chance now with out legal aid. I won custody of my son 20 yr ago with out legal aid I could not have done it. Also poor people can no longer take civil action if wronged. Legal aid should be available to those that need it

The government has increased the age to which all young people in England must continue in education or training, requiring them to continue until the end of the academic year in which they turn 17 from 2013 and until their 18th birthday from 2015. However, Great Western Railway who provide heavily discounted Scholars Ticket for those under 16 do not offer the same for those young people in the 16-18 compulsory education category. Instead, they offer a 16-25 Rail card at a cost of £30 per year but its use is restricted in that if you travel between 04:30 and 09:59 Monday to Friday (except during July and August) a minimum fare of £12 will apply. Rendering it useless to get to place of education for a 8.30/9am start!

Different train companies have different specifications for scooters and other mobility aids to board their trains. This makes sense as older carriages are narrow and do not meet improved design. However the specifications given by certain rail companies are so restrictive that many people who need to use a mobility aid would struggle to comply. I myself have multiple sclerosis and use a mobility scooter - I have yet to be able to find one that matches the requirements set out by certain rail companies! Choosing an appropriate model of scooter or wheelchair is expensive and crucial to meet the most important issues for an individual. By providing a ramp and addressing restrictive policies we can make travel more accessible for everybody. Transport is essential for many people to carry out their daily lives - it can be even more essential for people who have reduced choices of travel.

In June 2014, the Government introduced charges for using the Child Maintenance Service. To apply for a maintenance assessment it costs £20.00, with no guarantee any maintenance will ever be received. To then have the maintenance collected, more charges are imposed on both parents. The paying parent pays an extra 20% on top of their maintenance assessment and the receiving parent has a further 4% of their maintenance deducted. This means on an assessment of £100, the paying parent actually pays £120 and the receiving parent only gets £96, with the government taking a total of £24, not including the application fee. So far the charges have totalled over £8.5 million and are rising to a staggering £1 million per month. This money should be supporting the future of children and going towards essentials such as clothes, healthy food, books, education and heating. The charges are designed as a deterrent for using the Child Maintenance Service and it is feared that thousands of children are not receiving maintenance as a result. Even the government’s own research predicted 100,000 fewer parents would make maintenance arrangements because of the introduction of charges. Where maintenance is received it is often at a lower amount, either because parents feel pressured to accept a lower payment rather than use the Child Maintenance Service and face charges, or because they use the service and have money deducted by the government. The new system also puts extra pressure on relationships between parents, particularly when there is a history of abuse and/or violence. Studies have shown how essential child maintenance is for lifting the growing number of children living in poverty out of that desperate and disadvantaged situation. The charges are due to be reviewed at the end of the year so now is the time to call on the government to end this unfair tax on single parent families. Sign the petition asking the Minister for the Department of Work and Pensions to end all charges for the use of the Child Maintenance Service.

The council have a history of closing down community centres in Brixton without proper justification. After a routine health and safety check ,the independent surveyor, Mr Chris Steel of C. Steele Associates Limited, assured us that we could remain in the building whilst the work was carried out. However, a month later we received letters from the council asking us to leave the building permanently. We've been working in this building for the past 25 years and it's one of the last remaining community centres that have not been sold to developers. Our work history at this building has been long and varied.This was recognised by the late great Muhammad Ali who attended our Jubilee 2000 Afrika campaign for the cancellation of 3rd world debt in 1999. Many political and human rights campaign's have been established at the centre. The centre is a hub for refugees and asylum seekers and people looking for advice and support around housing, employment and other social issues. Whilst the council want to force us out, our vision for the centre is to expand and archive the work that has been accomplished in the building. And to make the building a flag ship alternative space in Brixton.

Is Important because it will save cost like looking for scooters won't be necessary. Thank you and can do without taxis.

My son was diagnosed with Autism around 5 years ago, but not in Sefton. His diagnosis was received through one, locally commissioned NHS Trust, and looking back, the pathway to diagnosis was founded on clear, pre-determined steps that every child in the area followed. This process was well defined and simple, whilst meeting all clinical guidelines; resulting in my son receiving a diagnosis of autism within 6 months of referral. In comparison, my daughter is currently on the Autism Assessment Pathway in Sefton. As a parent, it quickly becomes clear that this process is inefficient, not fit for purpose, and very much based on an ad hoc, undefined approach. Across Sefton, it is well known that the result of this approach, is an average timespan of 4 years to diagnose a school aged child with autism, from the time of referral. Every step on the pathway, requires separate referrals, and it has been evidenced that overall, the waiting times for each appointment, are massively outside clinical guidelines. The results of this are catastrophic for everyone involved: The child who doesn't understand their own difficulties for example, and who is left untreated; the family who desperately need help to support their child and maintain equilibrium in the home; and interestingly, with the current system being so inefficient and time consuming, the financial implications and waste of public funds must be severe! In fact, the consequences of ignoring this cannot be underestimated, with further health issues arising, specifically from the stress and strain placed on children and families who are left powerless. Put simply, this MUST change with immediate effect, and Sefton's Autism Pathway brought in line with clinical guidelines at least. Simple, clearly defined steps, coming from a single referral for assessment, must be identified and put into practice. It is obvious to say, that decisions must now be made, that prioritise the health and wellbeing of children and families across Sefton. However, a clearer, unified pathway, would also bring the additional benefit, of a more cost effective approach that protects public funds.

Ysbyty Gwynedd covers a vast geographical area. The decision to transfer services would put patients in the north west of wales at risk. It is vital that we retain key members of medical and surgical staff , who's skills are invaluable!

The government wants the young to get working but they do not want, I am not surprised they do not want to work for peanuts while someone who is over 25 will make double the wage of 16. The price of bread is not different for 16 year old person to what it is for 25 year old person, so I do not know why there is big wage gap.

It Is important because private tenants do not own their homes and can lose them at any time . A council place gives them stability from having to keep moving .
