The pub is the hub of the community and sits just opposite the church. It has been allowed to run down.The village feels strongly that in the event that it is not sold to a pub operator and that it will be used for development or, the owner wishes to de-license the premises for change of use, Members of the community may wish to buy it.

Because there are many children and adults who are non verbal or who have speech problems who need help to find ways to communicate other than speech.

I feel this is important for children to know that talking about mental health is ok and isn't looked down on. Also to show them the signs of a mental health disorders, how to help people that are affected and to tell them who they can talk to if they feel they are affected.

The House of Lords is an anachronism and is stuffed full of politicians cronies and buddy pals sent there as a reward for services rendered to them that is not necessarily to the benefit of the electorate. We need an accountable second chamber to curb the excesses of the elitist Commons who have lost touch with the electorate.

Worryingly the speed of all vehicles including buses is on an increase with sometimes speeds at excess of 60mph by some cars and in excess of 30mph by some buses. Children are becoming at risk and it will only be a matter of time before the inevitable happens with either a child, pedestrian, cyclist or motorist being severely injured or worse, a fatality.

While we welcome action against anti-social behaviour, Sunderland city council’s proposals for new Public Space Protection Orders seem to be focused on the persecution of homeless individuals. This is particularly apparent in the plans to stop ‘bin raking’. It is a disgrace that in one of the world’s richest countries people need to feed themselves, or make a living, from the contents of public waste bins. Imposing fines on these individuals, and those who beg on our city’s streets, would be pointless and counter-productive. It would serve only to distress the individuals concerned and increase the work and, therefore, the cost of police, community workers and the CPS. The Hunger Project have shown that poverty and hunger decrease when a country's population is educated. Public transport is not reliable when staff work shifts as bus timetables are reduced and some staff are having to rely on buses and trains which can add up to 2 hours if not more on to an already busy working day when in some instances a car journey is only 30 minutes for the same destination. Staff are already under pressure to arrive at work on time without having to try and find a parking space. All we ask is that Greater Glasgow and Clyde NHS continue to provide an off site car park for their staff to allow staff to travel to work in the knowledge they will be able to park their car safely and will have a parking space. The staff who already use the current off site car park are happy to walk the 10/15 minutes from the car park to the hospital and would be happy to continue to do this.

There is not a lot left in Knighton. If the Leisure Centre closes where will our children have swimming lessons? Where will patients on GP referral schemes have to go? When our public transport is poor because funding was cut how are people supposed to get to our 'nearest reasonable distanced centre'.
