Our moorlands are being stripped of wildlife by gamekeepers who kill natural predators to preserve grouse raised to be shot for 'sport'. The production of Foie Gras is nothing short of torturous, it is illegal to produce it in the UK because of the horrific suffering of foie ducks and geese.

Skerne Valley is an important green belt area. It has historical and ecological importance and deserves to be respected. Brafferton, Coatham Mundeville, Skerningham, and Barmpton are rural communities with individual spirit. Individual spirit that will be torn in two if either of these route are allowed to progress. The impact on the local Flora and Fauna will be catastrophic, the skerne at Barmpton is known to be home to Otters, Skerningham Woods was recently planted with Black Poplar trees at tax payers expense, by the same council that now wants to rip it all down and build on it. There were several other routes that wereput forward, the main one being the remodelling of Junction 57, It's shown to be cheaper . more environmentally friendly and resolves more issuesbut that was dropped due to complexity and stakeholder preference. Who are these stakeholders? To quote one local resident, "route B is like corporate vandalism, please take it off the table" To us both routes are corporate vandalism and they both need taking off the table. Scotland enjoys a rich and wide selection of wild animals and it is our duty to protect them. Not kill them and pose for selfies.

The beaver is the most important, formerly native, animal to Britain that could create landscapes that protect our native plants and animals. They also save taxpayers money in water treatment and flood management costs. The beaver was hunted to extinction and we have a duty to bring them back to our rivers. The effects of beavers will improve water quality, reduce flooding and help turn our river banks back into wildlife havens. This is resisted by some groups who want to exploit our river banks for private gain or fear change in the countryside. 1. The beaver family in the Beauly is not causing any problems and is popular with locals 2. They did not come from illegal releases so there is no need for SNH to make an example of them. 3. They have been there for 5 years or more and are breeding. Kits have been seen this year. 4. Trees for Life are fundraising to run a licensed beaver project in that area and would like to study and add to the existing beaver population. 5. Without this it could take decades for beavers to disperse naturally to the north of the Cairngorms. 6. Trapping these beavers is a waste of public money and a pointless animal welfare risk.

The Wolf killed as it escaped was part of an important breeding program and this loss has a crucial effect on that program.

This is a horrible and cruel device that kills indiscriminately. The animals and birds caught in this device are left to starve to death, a slow and painful death.

This woodland has been untouched for 50+ years. It is a small piece of habitat for wildlife on a very steep incline in the midst of a densely populated area with very congested roads. This woodland provides habitat for bats, owls, badgers, foxes, hedgehogs, woodpeckers, slow worms and a host of other wildlife. It also forms a protective barrier which mitigates the noise and air pollution caused by the railway line and the traffic on Muller Road, and provides run off to mitigate flooding on Muller Road when there is torrential rain. It may not have the kudos of a 200 year old Oak tree, but it is doing a good job, and to those wildlife, it's home!

This is important for the future of our ecosystem as much of this packaging is now polluting our oceans or building up relentlessly on landfill sites.
