Living Wage For Dunnes WorkersThe GMB is concerned that despite more than two years of economic growth, working people across the country are still suffering the longest real wage squeeze in over a century. Recently official earnings growth reached its lowest level since records began. GMB is also concerned given the biggest proportion of low-paid, part time workers in Dunnes is women. Official figures shows that earning less than the Living Wage is the norm for women in many parts of the country. With women accounting for almost three-quarters of the country’s six-million part-time workforce, the lack of skilled, decently –paid part-time jobs affects women’s pay and their career prospects far more than it does men. The idea behind the Living Wage is that a person is paid enough to live decently and to adequately provide for their family. Please sign the petition and pass on to others to sign, keep following the facebook page for an update on are attempts to gain recognition for Dunnes workers, in the coming weeks GMB will be launching a Public campaign outside all Dunnes stores for members of the Public to sign all above petition. If you would like some petition sheets sent out to you please contact me on 07808101359. Petition to Stop our Community Cafe being privately leasedOur Community Cafe is an important space. It is a vital part of our community used by the old, the young, families, residents with mental health issues and other vulnerable members of our community. Community support is being achieved in this space and will be quickly lost to us as a community because; A decision has been made to lease out our Community Cafe to a non community organisation from the middle of October. It is unbelievable to see that the Community have been disregarded and not asked to get involved in discussions about this Community resource. Our community is full of wonderful caring people with skills and ideas to build on the work already achieved and we are entitled to be engaged in conversations about the fate of our Community resources and how they are run for the benefit of the Community it serves now and in the future- Engage us86 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Moira Kerrane

SAVE 55 BROADWAY55 Broadway is London’s first skyscraper and part of British heritage. TFL has just revealed its proposed residential re-design of the iconic Grade 1 Listed building. If allowed to proceed, TFL will take a Grade 1 listed public body building into multiple private ownership (of apartments) and therefore out of public access. In a shocking show of greed, TFL even proposes to construct concrete newbuilds to obliterate the historic garden terraces on the 10th floor . These gardens famously offer impressive views from the unique location of the building, significantly positioned by TFL’s visionary leader Frank Pick to be midway between Buckingham Palace and the Houses of Parliament. One of the gardens was even dedicated in honour of an early environmental campaigner associated with TFL. The form and proportions of the original building and Charles Holden’s vision will be damaged irreparably. It is obvious that if the original architect considered it aesthetic and safe, the extra floor would already exist instead of the gardens. Funded by tax-payers, TFL calls itself a ‘custodian’ of London property. What kind of custodian except one acting in breach of duty and good faith will pursue cynical financial gain at the expense of history and our legacy? It must also be a matter of concern whether the rest of the building from the 1920s, is best preserved by a new construction on its wings. TFL is trying to sell off one of our most important heritage assets designed by Charles Holden as apartments to the rich. What next – the Houses of Parliament? Reckless renovation of our heritage for unsuitable use as multi-unit luxury apartments will destroy the soul of our city. TFL is supposed to connect and unite the city. How does it reconcile its ethos and reason for existence with converting its iconic HQ – our heritage as much as theirs - into private apartments for the rich? How does this ‘benefit the city’ (TFL’s own words) and tax-payers?149 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Christian Collins

Net Neutrality ProtectionThe proposal to abandon Net Neutrality on the internet in favor of a multi-tiered content-biased system is deeply flawed. It would: 1. create a system that inhibits technical innovation by allowing ISPs to choose which technologies their customers can access. 2. create a system that protects entrenched companies while penalizing the start-ups that have been the life blood of the internet. 3. limit access of non-profit organizations that cannot afford "fast-lane" fees. 4. penalize media companies that do not directly own cable or satellite access to consumers. The Internet has flourished under the de facto common carrier ISPs held until recently. It is time for the FCC to declare that ISPs are Common Carriers and hold them to that status. Please exam with an open mind, see the value in net neutrality, to business and private users equal access enables creativity and new business growth. A two tear access to the internet is bad for competion, R&D and the next generation of new world beating businesses. Professionals from the scientific community offer this view and as an MP you must listen to experts who are not in the pocket of lobbyists for example:- http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=75141 http://www.theregister.co.uk/2014/09/10/favorite_sites_looking_slow_today_its_a_net_neutrality_protest/90 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Pat Robins

What's in our Honey?I was always told if you have anything at all, you have your health, if there are contaminants in our food, then how healthy are we? I swapped up sugar for honey in the belief that I was being healthy, yet I find out it is corn syrup and has no pollen! Why are we being deceived and lied to? http://www.foodrenegade.com/your-honey-isnt-honey/ "Why are these companies bothering to hide the honey’s origin? Because it’s likely to have come from China, and Chinese honey is cheap, diluted with high-fructose corn syrup and sweeteners, and tainted with crazy chemicals and antibiotics. Chinese honey is also high in heavy metals." Don't you want to know what you are eating? I do!!!72 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Bob Swan

STOP LLOYDS BANK CHARGING £10 PER DAY FOR ANY OVERDRAFT + MORELloyds is an old english bank that is changing for the worse and has been owned by the english tax payer yet continued to not realise or accept that it cannot act in non-common sense, off-hand, aloof, over complicated and unreasonable manner when onteracting or communicating with its owners and customers. I have a very small company with a commercial account with lloyds and over a year ago they suspended the functioning of my visa debit card. They admitted it was in error. The forced £100 into my account without my knowledge. I refused this as compensation. They then offered £300 as final settlement. I refused this as it was not enough. I did not have my card for 9 days. I could not buy online. I had to wait for a new card to be sent ans them further for a pin code. When i said £300 is not enough to cover the loss of earnings, stress and compensation for the time to work on their error they sent a letter saying they would not deal with me anymore and the letter has bold capitals at the top saying 'final decision'. The time taken to deal with their error has been hundreds of hours. I have charged for this and invoiced them at there head branch in london. There has been no attempt at any level by lloyds to be approachable and embracing. There has been every attempt by lloyds to be detached, blocking and aloof. I then contacted the uk's financial ombudsman. After 3 or so months i got to a legal person under their adjudication system. I then had health issues and decided to pause the pursuit of compensation for my limited company and also to pursue the well overdue systemic change needed within lloyds, both for commercial accounts and also personal accounts. Lloyds also have my address wrong. This is how blinkered and basic the errors are. Behind every amazing sme business/startup is a person called the m.D, or ceo. Their lives,, and those of their family and friends are directly affected by the appalling behaviour of the uk's banking systems. Its time for deep systemic change within lloyds so great britains businesses can flourish, without being kicked in the face by the organisations that need to help them. I try so hard to strip emotion from this an stick to facts. However, this is near impossible as it is an emotive subject. And so it should be, we are talking about peoples lives and livelihoods. I am not bringing problems without solutions. This does not have to be convoluted, difficult and over-engineered. It is time to be compensated for all the trauma, frustration, distress, loss of business face, loss of earnings, loss of address (to lloyds), the many 100's of hours of deep analytic work, phone calls, letters, emails and recording all these. If you have the same story as me, and maybe you are simply exhausted from the fight, id like to hear from you however it has to be only facts and they have to be substantiated by you with a citation/date time stamps. I cannot do all this on my own but maybe collectivley we can create a register of actions, dates and times with how it cobbled your business and you. After the ppi scandals we now have new lloyds authorised and promoted malpractises coming out. This may be the right time to make a change for the better for everyone and to save a major long standing british institution. Please be aware this petition is first and foremost a petiton for change in culture, mission and dialogue and not a petition to get compensated. If that comes then all well and good but that may be a side-effect of the main petition. We need the uk's financial ombudsman onboard as well. It looks as though they are going through a rigourous and uneasy process of change but unlike lloyds, they are open, transparent, non aloof and reaching out for collaboration. This, and i cannot stress this enough, is an amazing surprising and wonderful discovery. I will be making a website where customers of lloyds can start entering dates, times, action, nonaction and proven affects. It cannot be a forum or hangout yet. We have to deal with only fact Eg: 1. Jan 2013-lloyds cancelled my business card with no notice 2. They admitted liablity verbally and by snailmail 3. They deposited money into my account with no notice and no reference number 4. They offered more money as compensation by snail mail letter 5. When i declined that amount they sent a snailmail letter saying go away and marked it 'final decision' Professionals and time-served heavyweights with a desire to change lloyds please join. We have elliott v lloyds tsb bank plc & anor [2012] ew misc 7 (cc) Citation: http://www.Scl.Org/site.Aspx?I=ed26547 Maybe start by writing a brief story Then start writing down facts Then order them chronologically Stay tenacious, focussed and humble and we can stop these crazy lloyds actions. £10 per day for being a few pounds overdrawn=bonkers80 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Philip Swift

Target Thomson's cruise ship slave labour.Would you think twice about going on a Thomsons cruise ship holiday if you knew the facts about it`s labour force? Non-EU citizens employed as housekeepers work long hours, without a single day off, over a seven month cruise season. A housekeeper's pay equates to about £2 an hour for back breaking hard work with as many as seventeen cabins and their passengers to look after. Living below decks in cramped, hot conditions, which are in stark contrast to the luxuries enjoyed by passengers above . Thomsons reported a "record" profit last year of £471 million. Thomsons need to improve standards and pay for its non-EU crew. Thomsons can boast its "record " profits but fail miserably in their duty to their non EU-staff .6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Barbara Evans

Stop unnecessary non recyclable food packaging by SainsburysOur beautiful planet is being choked in waste detritus from human beings. It is constantly in the press about this and that hugely expensive way we could dispose of it. Surely the answer is to not produce it! Supermarket packaging appears to continue to increase to the stage where you can buy hardly any fruit or veg in particular without it being unnecessarily packaged in some way. I think we should boycott such food and give the mighty supermarkets the message.150 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Carol Clifton

BUS FLOOR TO ROOF HEIGHT INAPPROPRIATEThe current floor to roof height is low and a passenger is not going to always realise that the height of the vehicle is low that they will bend over and duck their heads to sit in the rear of the bus, especially as all buses other than this newly introduced bus have relatively ample head height when accessing all bus seats. A passenger made a complaint that they literally hurt themselves experiencing neck and head pains approximately 3 days after the incident, that they felt the need to make a complaint after stepping up on a step to access a rear seat they hit themselves firmly on the head on the low floor panel of the bus. Contrary, to the findings of the Automotive Engineer - Defects Investigation, Andrew M Tudor, in his letter dated 4 August 2014, who feels "VSB accepts that the head room at the rear of the vehicle is restrictive, however, this should be clear to occupants, as the roof panel remains level, the floor level raises as it progresses down the bus with a number of steps in it and the view clearly shows that the amount of head room for the rear seats is restrictive." Obviously, this statement that VSB accepts is not the case for all passengers travelling on the bus that choose to make their way to sit in the rear seats for any reason, which in the case of the person that made the complaint was to sit in one of the only available seats on a crowded bus.58 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Andrea Lanning
