Medal for Ebola Nurse Pauline CafferkeyMs Cafferkey selflessly risked her own life to leave the comfort of her home and care for sick and dying Ebola victims in Sierra Leone. After contracting the disease herself, she nearly died on two occasions but has bravely fought the disease and returned to her work as a nurse in Blantyre, Scotland. Her bravery and caring for others is truly exceptional and she deserves the recognition of our whole nation. She is a truly inspiring figure and role model for us all.31 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Christopher Woollacott

Tighter Control over Gambling Establishments in High StreetsIt's been bubbling in the background for years and having just watched a Panorama episode on iPlayer, I'm feeling quite angry/disappointed in the "establishment" which puts big business / profits ahead of the people. We won against salt, we'll win against sugar, I switched suppliers thanks to 38 degrees ... the list goes on !! I'm now talking about how highly addictive and family-destroying machines allow vulnerable people to spend hundreds or thousands of points in a few minutes ... money that haven't got! Surely this should be better controlled?? Eg far lowed maximum caps, make it harder to borrow money from these places just to lose at gambling, etc etc. "Lots has been done" and "We are doing a lot" - just pointless words while peoples live are ruined. I was almost hooked when I was younger, because my friends were gamblers in their teens. That was then and I now have teenage children of my own and it is SO EASY to get trapped. I'm hope I'm not alone in this - it just seems so selfish of these businesses.7 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Jan Rymarz

An Internet Window to the world for care homes and hospitalsIf you've been in a care home, or hospital, as a resident/patient or visitor you will realise that it is very boring. Other than TV and a few magazines (and perhaps old books) there is nothing to do to stimulate and entertain the mind. This erodes peoples' quality of life, and probably damages their mental and physical health. The ability to participate on the Internet opens up a wonderful array of stimulating and interesting opportunities; and helps to make their lives more interesting again.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Adam Bostock

Make public parks safer and cleaner for childrenThe public park is thought to be a happy, safe place for your children to play and make new friends and be themselves but in face it is the opposite. My local parks are filled with drunken hooligans drinking despite them being a no alcohol zone and broken glass and needles and other dangerous rubbish lying around despite litter bins located everywhere, I remember it being a safe, clean environment and so many people were happy but now they both don't get as many visitors and children are sometimes scared to go there.8 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Taylor Griffith

Apple, are you corrupt to the core? The corporate world needs to be told that they profit from us plenty without needing to steal from us. As well as this petition, I suggest everybody goes into an apple shop and talk with the helpful sales staff about their products. Then ask them about the unpaid taxes and inform them you won't be buying anymore until THEIR company does the right thing. Each worker is a shareholder after all, so they have power and they are all profiting from the dodgy dealings.17 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Calvin Cumiskey

Battle of Britain CollectionThe Battle of Britain was a pivotal moment during World War 2, the collection of all the various types that fought in that conflict are currently together under one roof which makes it unique. To break this up and distribute the aircraft to various locations as individual exhibits will rob visitors of seeing friend and foe collectively. The reason for this is being cited as a need for a "Visitor Centre", well a museum is a "Visitor Centre",20 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Ian Bennett

Grant a Knighthood to Usain BoltWe have a great tradition in this country of granting honours to Commonwealth sporting greats, Sir Garfield Sobers and Viv Richards in West Indian cricket and Sir Graham Henry and Gordon Tietjens in New Zealand rugby for example. At a time when the sport of athletics has been blighted by doping and other scandals, Usain Bolt has been a shining light of clean athletics in a blue riband event. His achievement on Monday morning 15 August 2016 in achieving an unprecedented third consecutive Olympic gold medal in the 100metres final in Rio was outstanding, and he is still likely to achieve medals in the 200 metres and 4x100 metres relay. He has announced that this will be his last Olympic Games. It is time for the UK Government to honour the achievement and outstanding contribution to world sport of this great Olympian and grant him a knighthood in the next Honours List.47 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Hamish Hamilton

Give Tariq Jahan the honour he deservesDuring a time of rapidly increasing tension and violence in North Birmingham in 2011 Tariq agreed to speak to the crowds despite having very recently lost his son in the violence: "Basically I lost my son," he told the crowd. "Blacks, Asians, whites - we all live in the same community. Why do we have to kill one another? "What started these riots? And what's escalated? Why are we doing this? I lost my son. Step forward if you want to lose your sons. "Otherwise calm down and go home."13 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Gill Goode

KEEP THE DOG BAN`S IN PRIME PLACES TO KEEP CHILDREN SAFE!Im all for dogs being on certain parts of the beach just not Prime Spots which are in force along our Lincolnshire Coast. I understand there is a petition to try and lift a certain peice of lands ban but in my opinion it would have a effect on the safety of 1000`s of children that play in the area ( between Ba Rumba and Bibbys Beach Bar )66 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Donna Marshall
