• Referendum on the final terms on which the UK will leave the European Union
The EU referendum represented a low point in post war UK democratic politics. Only now are problems coming to the fore that were not considered in the referendum and not debated at the time. Oeople did not know the consequences of them and Brexit impact reports are being unacceptably hidden from the people. This is unacceptable and we need a final decision when we know exactly what Brexit means and that means the full terms of an any deal.

  • Name a Midland Metro tram after Jeff Lynne
I won't pretend that this will change the world or that it is anywhere near as worthy a cause as a great many. It will however brighten sometimes rainy Midlands days, put a smile on people's faces and would be a nice way to say 'thank you' to Jeff for such great music and all he's achieved over the years. It's a big birthday for Jeff this year, too, and what better gift to give!

  • Oppose merger for route 305
The 305 bus route is essential for passengers who lead very busy and hectic lives, the route is convenient for those travelling into London, as it is easy access to Burnt Oak Station, to parents dropping their children to the local school and needing to get to work promptly. The new route will mean additional travelling time for which is not possible, particularly the elderly who may suffer from disabilities and are not able to walk the 400 metres to access the route. The new route does not take into account those people who live on the 305 bus route who work late at night and rely upon this route to get home safely.

  • REINSTATE THE SUBSIDIES FOR EVENING & WEEKEND TRAVEL IN BLACKBURN
Public transport is a major part of peoples lives, it allows old people, students to visit their friends, to do shopping, and allow people to go on days out. Currently, the last bus from Blackburn Bus Station is 19:00 with NO SERVICE at any time on a Sunday or bank holidays. This is affecting people who used to use the bus on a Sunday and nighttime and particularly on the run up to Christmas when Blackburn market opens the last few Sundays before Christmas.

  • Remove Markyate Traffic Lights on A5183
This junction has over many years been the scene of multiple accidents. One fatal. Over the last three years residents have written continually to our MP Mike Penning, County Councillors David Lloyd and now Terry Douris. On every occasion there have been promises of reviews yet nothing has yet been done. On a recent occasion where the lights were switched off for over a week there were no accidents, no build up of traffic on either Luton Road or the High Street, bringing with it significant improvements in air quality at peak times.

  • School Bus for Hatfield and Dunsville
Are our children second class citizens ? 2 school buses are currently avalible, one for Kirk Sandall and one for Barnby Dun, These buses park at the school and even have old signage for Hatfield bus which no longer runs a service. Why not Hatfield and Dunsville ? Our children have to wait for a normal public transport bus, This can take up to an hour to get home, Its only 2 miles away . These public buses dont always stop, and only let a few children on at any time due to being full. Its not good enough and I feel its not safe, some children can wait for as many as 4 buses or more to get on one. It's not safe to walk home because of the open country side from Edenthorpe to Dunsville. Would you want your child to walk home in open country side? As a parent Im very nervous when my child has to use public transport. You dont know what bus they can eventually get on and when they will get home. Many people have raised concerns about the public buses. Now we need people listen to us and take action to make our children feel safe while traveling home.

  • Better cycle storage for Canonbury
There are currently no secure cycle storage facilities in Canonbury, despite huge numbers of cyclists in the area. Bikehangars aren't expensive, only take up half a car parking space, and each provides secure, covered storage for six bicycles. For every one car space, 12 cyclists could be provided with storage. A recent consultation on the placement of additonal bikehangars in Islington led to plans for 18 new bikehangars, but all are in the north of the borough, with a third of them placed across 4 adjoining streets in Upper Holloway. The nearest proposed bikehangar to the Essex Road area is a mile away. Islington prides itself on being a green borough and supporting cyclists benefits everyone - reducing traffic, noise and pollution and encouraging healthy lifestyles. The Council needs to represent the interests of residents in all areas of the borough, not just the north section. As more people cycle, the borough will become cleaner, greener and healthier. With better cycle storage, everyone benefits!
