  • Ex PM Tony Blair should stand trial for war crimes
For public accountability and ministerial responsibility. It'll also set a global presidence for country leaders not to repeat such personal action. All evidences presented by the Chilcot enquiry prove that he did not act with the public interest at heart. He colluded with former US president Bush Jr. on a personal grudge with Saddam, as if there was something to prove.

  • Hold Jeremy Hunt and George Osborne accountable for the 9% rise in UK death rates
On 23rd June 2016, the Office for National Statistics released distressing data, which shows an increase in death rates of 9% (that's 52,400 people) in England and Wales between June 2014 and June 2015 when compared with data from the previous year. This rise is unprecedented. Never before have we failed our sick and elderly populations to such a degree. The British Medical Journal (BMJ) published the data in an article on 6th July, stating that austerity and economic inequality played a "major role" in this increase. There are now millions fewer social care visits to the elderly per year since Osborne assumed office in 2010 and Jeremy Hunt in 2012. These care packages were seen as playing a vital role in the early identification and treatment of the deterioration in a person’s health and well-being. Public Health England stated that they are observing rapidly increasing mortality rates in the over 75s. These rates are particularly high in “spearhead areas”, which are some of the poorest parts of the country. The BMJ have stated that members of the public with long term health needs such as dementia and other disabilities are suffering the most. Often these are the people among us without a voice. Be their voice and sign this petition to hold Jeremy Hunt and George Osborne accountable for causing the premature deaths of these 52,400 people by inflicting vile austerity measures upon public health services against the wishes of the majority of the British public who value our national health service. We are also calling for a public review of the health budget cuts and privatisation deals that have been and are being negotiated and agreed upon on our behalf. The NHS belongs to us, the responsibility to save it is ours.

  • Stop the Destruction Of British Archaeology.
Britain has some of the most amazing and diverse archaeological remains in the world, however the new Neighbourhood Planning and Infrastructure Bill announced in May 2016 puts all of this at risk, leading to the destruction of our past for good. The current Requirements that force developers to carry out archaeological and wildlife surveys before starting housing projects may be abolished in the new Neighbourhood Planning and Infrastructure Bill. This will destroy archaeological sites and risk the industry that conducts surveys, excavation and preservation of our vital past. “pre-commencement planning conditions are only imposed by local planning authorities where they are absolutely necessary”

  • To Immediately Release Ahmed Guerrah from Detention and to Suspend any plans to deport him
Ahmed fled from Algeria with his boyfriend after they were subjected to torture, physical abuse often from their own family members. They reached Greece Ahmed got through his Boyfriend did not. They have not had any communication since. We are asking for Ahmed to be immediately released from detention and returned to Plymouth where he has friends and an important support network. Ahmed is a very shy, loving person in the UK he does not appear to be 'Gay' however in North Africa he is seen as effeminate and will be subjected to further abuse and even risk of being brutally murdered. We Believe that Ahmed will not be safe in any detention centre as he will be held with others that are intrinsically homophobic. This puts him at increased risk of both physical and sexual attacks. Much work being done to present new evidence to the Home Office including the important professional and expert reports on the physical and psychological trauma Ahmed has suffered. The first of a series of appointments with experts has been arranged is due to take place on 20th July here in Plymouth which makes the decision to detain him at this time complete madness. Pride in Plymouth has been supporting Ahmed by reducing the social isolation he has suffered since being in the UK. He is valued and loved by ALL of the 'Pride Family' in Plymouth. Please sign this petition to ensure Ahmed is returned to Plymouth where he has the support and love he needs whilst the necessary professional evidence is collated. It cost the tax payer far more to keep Ahmed in detention than does to house him in the community. Homosexuality is illegal in Algeria carrying an official sentence of three years in Prison. The law in Algeria does not recognise or respect the civil rights of LGBT persons. Officially, there are no gay-friendly establishments and no political organisation is allowed to campaign for LGBT rights. Harassment, violence, and murder of LGBT persons by family members, religious fundamentalists or other vigilant groups is generally tolerated.

  • Bradfield wants a Village Hall referendum NOW!
Trustees are required by law to act prudently at all times in the best interests of the charity and its beneficiaries and be personally accountable for the proper management of the charity and its assets. Over 70% of the village have supported the Parish Council objecting to the current plans and we believe that the Trustees should seek a clear mandate before proceeding any further.

  • Prevent Katie Hopkins from continual breach of UK hate speech laws
Katie Hopkins has multiple media outlets, which she has repeatedly used to present to a biased and prejudiced agenda. On her program at the LBC radio station, she presents to topics which are thematically negative towards those of another race, ethnicity or religion, with titles as 'Katie Hopkins Hammers May For Sharia Law Support' and 'Caller Gets Katie Hopkins Fired Up About Ramadan'. Most recently, in her podcast of the 3rd of July, entitled: Katie Hopkins Furious Rant At 'Safety Pin', Campaign and shared to LBC's Facebook page. She berated her audience with statements such as: "Multiculturalism has NOT worked, we DO live in the 'ghetto kingdom' but that does not make it an unsafe space. I do not buy into any of the calls of people tearful because they're now so ‘scared’ of the fact that they live in this country, I think that’s all baloney and I think that’s more sore losers from the liberal left." This one link on LBC's Facebook page has amassed over 90,000 views alone, with the potential to influence all of these viewers/listeners with her views. This broadcast allowed Katie Hopkins to promote and encourage her audience to dismiss the rise of hate crime and related violence, and to ridicule the Safety Pin support campaign. The rise in incidents is a concern recognised by the police force and public officials , many who have pledged to tackle this issue. Another example via the Mail Online: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3654287/KATIE-HOPKINS-Remain-win-warn-not-fall-ill-not-want-buy-home-not-expect-primary-school-place-child-warn-not-complain-terror-attack-brave-vote-Leave-Great-Britain-back.html Katie Hopkins made many statements in this article that are not only factually incorrect but which also used language to incites fear, the most significant is highlighted below. "If you do decide to vote remain be very clear. You have no right to complain you can't get a doctor's appointment or a place in primary school. In four years' time, all primary schools will be full. You have no right to a view on the dearth of housing or the strain on the NHS. Because you sided with the people who said unchecked immigration is a positive thing for Britain. If you are voting remain you have no right to respond to terror with sympathy; your hashtags, your sad faces and your vigils in a public square. The only thing I want to hear from you is 'I was wrong'. Because you voted with the idiots who said we are safer IN. And if you are voting remain because you are worried about short term pain. Think about the cancer you diagnosed for this country." These are not isolated and random incidents, she was widely condemned for her piece in The Sun http://www.sunnation.co.uk/hopkins-rescue-boats-id-use-gunships-to-stop-illegal-migrants/ In the article, she compared migrants to “cockroaches’ and said she would use “gunships” to stop boats from crossing the Mediterranean, a day after hundreds drowned when their boat capsized on the Sicilian coast. Her piece, published 17 April, dehumanised migrants further by labelling them 'feral' and described them as 'spreading like norovirus'. Hopkins and The Sun’s editor David Dinsmore were reported directly to Metropolitan Police Commissioners Office, Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe, by Peter Herbert, Chair Society of Black Lawyers, on 20 April. She is a repeat offender and her offences need to be addressed. By permitting her to continually abuse her media outlets and use them as a platform to promote bias, prejudice and hate speech, we are permitting her to influence those who could feel encouraged and validated to commit more extreme behaviour.

  • Stop data collection of school children's nationality and place of birth.
In the wake of the EU referendum result there has been a massive rise in hate crimes and incidents. Young people ss well as adults have been subject to low level abuse such as colleagues and classmates asking them "when are you going home?" to physical assaults. The DfE have instructed schools to collect this data and schools are sending letters home to parents demanding it with little or no explanation as to why it is required. These actions are causing particular distress to EU citizens living here at a time when they are unsure about their future in the UK. This needs to stop now so EU citizens know that they and their children are welcome in the UK.

  • ASA to regulate Political Advertising
We have to be able to trust political campaigns, and because politicians are not held to account in their campaigning, these campaigns are extremely damaging. In the example of Brexit, it was down to the British public to make an absolutely enormous decision, and the fact that so much campaigning was based on fiction made the British people extremely vulnerable in making decisions. The British Government must be held accountable for their campaigning, and the ASA could help with that.

  • A living rent for the UK
Rents in the UK are out of control. Private tenants – those who rent from a landlord or letting agent - have the worst protections against eviction in Europe. Tenants are being forced into poverty, while house prices and a lack of social housing means there’s no alternative. Rent controls are the norm in most of Europe and were used in the UK until the 1980s. Landlords claim that rent controls would drive up prices and cause housing shortages, but this isn't the case in countries like Germany, France and the Netherlands. Moreover, some tenants are evicted because the landlord doesn't want to do the repairs they've asked for, while others worry that a bigoted landlord may evict them because of their beliefs or sexuality. We want the Government to: 1. Bring rents under control: Introduce rent controls that ensure rents are set at affordable levels, and that increases don't force tenants into poverty. Rents should be determined by the quality, size, location and facilities of the home. 2. Protect tenants from eviction: Get rid of the 'no-fault' ground for eviction, so that tenants cannot be evicted unjustly. Ensure that all grounds for eviction are 'discretionary', so that a tenants circumstances are taken into consideration.

  • Protect these animals
Innocent Animals are being used and killed as bait in training for dogfighting rings. Gumtree, which is owned by EBay needs to stop allowing people to give their unwanted pets away as it attracts the wrong kind of interest, and these animals don't stand a chance.
