• Change the laws of next of kin status
Until it happened to me I didn't realize after 28 years together the last 12 as my partners full time carer in that 12 years my partners family had no contact with us her mother then took legal advice to prove I wasn't legal next of kin. People who had not even asked how she was or did we need any help for 12 years were her next of kin I had to fight for a portion of her ashes too from my hospital bed where I Was seriously ill with a life threatening illness. As the law currently stands you have to be married or civil partners neither of which we could do because my partner had severe mental health issues, social anxiety syndrome and agoraphobia. I know for a fact a lot of people are in the very same position I am even if you are classed as next of kin on their medical records it means nothing if they die. Also if you split from your husband/wife and do not divorce they are still legally your next of kin and can demand all your possessions even if they were bought by someone else. Also you can end up homeless if the property is in the deceased persons name. Please sign and share this because you never know what is around the corner

  • Get rid of the newly enforced Knife law !
for knife collectors and sword enthusiasts, as well as store owners, it will completely negate are ability to do what we love and own swords, almost all swords are bought online, rarely do you ever see a shop. The law was put in place to prevent knife crime however, knife crime is not stopped by the selling of knives, anyone can obtain a knife regardless of this law, knife crime is stopped by better educating people why its wrong and the consequences behind it. All this law is doing is destroying the historical and modern sword smithing industry for no reason, apart from the government making it appear as if they are doing something to reduce knife crime, when in actual fact, it isn't going to effect the rates at all.

  • Stop Landlords Profiting from the £9Bn Housing Benefit Crisis
Like many of us, I watched the recent airing of a BBC programme "The Week the Landlords Moved In" and felt a combination of sadness (for the tenants) and anger that Private Landlords - not all of them unscrupulous - profit fantastically from the Housing Benefits system. This is, after all, yours and my tax-payers' money that's being handed over, so let's make sure it's being put to better use and delivering value for money for all of us. It cannot be right that our hard-earned taxes are enriching that select few through the housing benefit system. If there are any financial surpluses created through these payments, then surely they should be channelled back into creating more Social Housing for those that need it.

This book has many things besides the name and the cover wrong with it. Many Muslims will be against this book promotion in fear that another brainwashed person may attack them. Many Non-Muslims will feel this book may cause radicalisation amongst them as well as cause racial stir and hatred, not mentioning the fact that there may be acts of violence and retaliation. Lets stand together and Unite against all acts of terrorism. Dont help fund Tommy and his fellow brainwashed colleagues. Please sign this petition and help remove the item from sale,as we have contacted Amazon but they will not remove it right away. We should act now with a simple signature on this petition as a community so that Amazon can monitor future products as well as remove this title.

  • New Skatepark in Milton Keynes
Skateparks provide a safe designate environment for people both young and old to ride. Further more they keep the youth away from open landscape architecture which then becomes damaged due to the lack of skateparks and skate spaces for them to use as it becomes the secondary place of use. To follow this it keeps the users of skateparks (bikers, roller bladers, kids on scooters) away from others places such as Costco and the Blum building where they use ledges and other areas such as underpasses as a unsafe way of practising based on the lack of space and early skatepark closing times. Asides from the fact it benefits the users, it also benfits Milton Keynes as a whole, other than our large shopping centre which attracts thousands of people each day, lots of people visit MK for the skateparks and will travel to try them out for a day, e.g the BUSZY is actually a famous park across the country as a street spot, having these parks draw in a niche group of people who come to Mk for the day, spend there money in shops whilst they ride and then return in the future, we believe having these skateparks is one of the many desirable things that keep Milton Keynes a desired place to live for the youth as there's many places that don't have the luxury of the parks that we have, and then some others that are benefited with much more. We as the community doing this petition would also ask that if this goes to plan and we are able to renovate one of these parks or build another, that we could get involved in the design, there are many of us that are good with this and some studying architectural courses and would love to get involved, as we believe we could create a more safe and fun environment for us to use. This would also then remove the problem that we currently have where particular members of the community try to create there own DIY parks within our skateparks. We hope this is something you see valuable to the community as without these parks we are left with the streets which we believe is both a safety hazard for those riding, as well as a problem as it ruins so much of the beautiful architecture we have here in MK, so keeping, improving or even making new parks can resolve these issues.

  • Stop the sell off of 'NHS Professionals'.
Private agencies providing nurses , doctors and other health workers charge roughly 15 to 30 % more to provide 'agency' and locum staff. This represents a huge burden on the NHS finances , especially so given staff shortages generally. Recent news reports suggest that Jeremy Hunt has proposed a sell off of the NHS own in-house agency, NHSP, (NHS Professionals),leaving the Department of Health with a small minority share of any new company. Furthermore it would seem that this is being undertaken at a time of year when. Parliamentary scrutiny is less likely to occur, being 'slipped in ' during the summer recess. At the very least it is important that this is now put on hold to give an opportunity for plans to receive full public scrutiny. NHSP is an important arm of the NHS, providing valuable services in house and saving the NHS and taxpayer large sums of money. At a time when private agencies themselves have been subject to concern, the role of NHSP should be strengthened and not undermined. NB "NHS Professionals (NHSP) helps the health service in England tackle its staffing crisis by arranging for doctors and nurses on its books to cover shifts, to avoid gaps in rotas that could threaten patient safety. Labour has asked the National Audit Office to look into why Jeremy Hunt, the health secretary, is selling off a profitable and effective company owned by the Department of Health". • Keep Shine for St Ursula's E-Act Academy PE Lessons
Shine offer professional coaching in a variety of sports that children may not be able to access ordinarily. The coaches provide positive role models that children are very comfortable with and they offer an alternative to parents and teachers in this respect in children's lives. They make engaging in physical exercise fun and achievable for all. The school believe that an internal coach facilitating sport through class teachers offers an effective, cost cutting solution in times of educational economic austerity. However we believe that the move will be to the detriment of our children's enthusiasm for sport, that they will be less active overall as they will not be as encouraged to join in physical activities outside of school, the range of different sporting activities available to them will decrease and the level of sporting prowess that many of the children currently possess (as demonstrated by St Ursula's achievements in inter-school matches and tournaments) will decline. In a world that promotes physical exercise as healthy this move suggests that E-Act do not hold physical educational as important as other aspects of the curriculum. Whilst the parents understand the need for the school to future-proof against the closure of the community hall and therefore the loss of Shine from the neighbouring building, the parents have long understood (as promoted by the school themselves in previous academic years) that Shine would operate from within the new school. The possible community hall closure has not yet been decided upon and even if that were to happen Shine would be on-site to continue their activities if what parents were previously led to believe is correct. Many parents selected St Ursula's as their child's primary school because of the close association between the school and Shine. E-Act are correct when they say that E-Act and Shine are two separate business organisations. However E-Act have, as recently as the autumn of 2016, used the association that exist between the two to promote their school. Many parents, on hearing that Shine will not be teaching PE to at least one key stage, feel that they have been mis-sold the school.

  • Stop Waste Incinerator being built in our community
All the surrounding communities are against this development. There are lots of health risks involved for the people living within a 10km radius of this plant. The plant will be storing waste at the property which is dangerous as it heats up. If this were to catch fire at ground level many people would be forced to ingest the harmful toxins produced. Transport of the Waste to the plant causes another issue, with huge lorries coming and going from the property throughout the day. The company will be self regulated which means they would be responsible for reporting their own breaches to the authorities. In other plants owned by the same company there has been over 1000 breaches recorded. There are lots of reasons why we feel this is not the area for this type of plant and would urge people to support us by Signing the petition. Save our future generations by saying no to incineration.
