Onshore wind energy is our most abundant and cost effective form of renewable energy, and until it was banned by the previous government it was our most successful. It remains highly popular with opinions polls (including the government’s own) showing almost three quarters of the public support it - this support has been consistent for the last 20 years. With energy bills in Britain generally regarded as being too high and our government proposing a cap to address the issue - it makes no sense to pay considerably more than we need to for new forms of green energy. Fighting climate change with green energy is essential, we should not make it more expensive than it needs to be. A recent report from the ECIU (Energy and Climate Change Intelligence Unit) estimates that we will pay over £1 billion more on our energy bills - over just the next four years - if we continue to exclude onshore wind energy. Onshore wind is an economic and environmental opportunity for Britain.

Fife's Education Service is proposing to cut all instrumental tuition in schools except for those pupils taking SQA Music. This will decimate music for Fife's children and young people. Learning any instrument will become an exclusive activity, reserved for those who can find a private teacher. Only these pupils will have the option of taking SQA Music at high school. Pursuing further study in music, at school or college, will be closed off to children whose parents cannot afford years of private tuition. Starved of upcoming players, school and youth orchestras and bands will struggle to survive and become increasingly elitest.

Monklands has one of the highest rates of COPD in the UK and exceptionally high levels of pollution. To operate an incinerator in the middle of where we live, work and where our children attend local schools and nurseries will be detrimental to the health of the most vulnerable in our community. The emissions from this proposed plant will not only disperse in Shawhead and Carnbroe, but also in the wider area covering Airdrie, Bellshill and potentially further. If you live in North Lanarkshire we ask you to sign asap. This is not just for you but for your children and grandchildren.

Bath NHS are proposing to stop funding male vasectomies and female sterilisations in Bath and North East Somerset (BANES) in all but exceptional cases. This will force people to have to pay if they want these contraceptive services. Privatising access to vasectomy and female sterilisation services will affect the most vulnerable members of our community. We should all be free to choose the most appropriate method of contraception, and that decision should not be limited by ability to pay. Real poverty is back in Britain and unplanned pregnancies impact hardest on the most vulnerable. Help us to keep comprehensive contraception available to all on the NHS.

The markets create important revenue for the already struggling town centres. Many people travel specifically to Knaresborough and Ripon to shop at the markets, and whilst they’re there, they also patronise the other local businesses, most of whom will say that Wednesday (Thursday in Ripon) is their busiest day. We are lucky in our towns to have a traditional communities where we can shop for everything such as meat, bread and vegetables locally. This is a rare experience in the modern world, and one to be treasured, especially as it promotes local community and ecological trading.

The Redcliffe Surgery is one of the largest GP practices in the borough, with approximately 17,000 patients registered covering the Earl’s Court, Redcliffe and Courtfield wards and planning to move to the Violet Melchett Clinic off the Kings Road. In previous research on health care provision in the area the majority of the local GPs are either to capacity, private or out of borough. This issue can be discussed at the borough's Adult Social Care Scrutiny on Tuesday 16 January and the Council meeting on Wednesday 24 January.

On December 7th 2017 the Harrogate Area County Councillors decided - by 14 votes to 2 - to remove the inner relief road option (package E) from the public consultation into traffic congestion in Harrogate. The Harrogate Area Committee took this informed decision following widespread concerns about: 1) The environmental harm a relief road would do to Nidd Gorge and The Nidderdale Greenway. 2) The unacceptable increase in traffic through the community of Bilton. 3) The ineffectiveness of relief roads as a solution for congestion relief. The councillors are our democratically elected representatives in Harrogate & Knaresborough. Their overwhelming opposition to the inner relief road must be respected by the Business and Environmental Services Executive and the North Yorkshire County Council Executive. The democratic will of the committee should have been be upheld by North Yorkshire County Council on December 15th 2017, but this didn't happen... Instead, after a year delay, - and after failing in their promise to gather more information about the environmental impact of the road, particularly on Nidd Gorge and The Nidderdale Greenway - NYCC are bringing the inner relief road package (E) forward for public consultation in 2019. The road continues to threaten Nidd Gorge, the Greenway and the communities along its route. This petition will continue until the road threat is lifted - as a register of opposition to the road - please continue to sign and share.

Families first Johnstone, Gallowhill, Foxbar Renfrewshire provide lots of support assistance and guidance to families in johnstone/ Renfrewshire! These ladies are like nanny McPhee in the sense if you need them they are there!! 😁 They bring communities together and help families thru tough times weather it's providing a listening ear, or giving financial advice to even helping service users get back into work! Many families face challenges on a daily basis and they are there in a crisis to offer support and help families grow in confidence to push thru the hard stuff!! They also run workshops and fun clubs for our children encouraging families to get out learn new skills and meet other people essentially they take away some of the loneliness sometimes many parents face and give our children something to look forward too! if this service was withdrawn from our community there essentially would be nowhere for families to turn too for advice support assistance in a crisis, there wouldn't be any of these clubs for our children, essentialy the heart of the community would be lost! Since the introduction of parking meters in Hereford city centre recently, there has been a dramatic drop in footfall and this is having a huge impact on retailers and businesses in general but it is our smaller local independent traders that appear to be suffering the most. The last thing we need in Hereford right now is more empty shops and more people out of work. Please reconsider increasing the parking times in Hereford, you know it makes sense.

Due to fylde coasts uniquely shallow waters the dumping of 19000 tonnes daily would wreak havoc along the whole of the coastline,destroying all micro organisms and right the way up the food chain. Livelihoods through fishing,shrimpers and recreational anglers are all going to suffer from this devastating ecological disaster. Please sign and let's save the North West coastline from pollution.

For the past 2 years Southern Rail commuters have had to endure a horrendous train service with endless strikes, cancellations and train shortages. There have been people leaving their jobs, moving home and missing out on time with their family and loved ones and all because of the incompetency of the service and the people running it. Why should we now have to pay even more? There should be a significant reduction in the price to go some way towards compensating commuters for the misery they have faced and are still facing with no end in sight.
