Shut down Sarahah appThis app provides people to send anonymous messages to people. This is an open door for cyberbullying. we actively seek to stamp out bullying then seem content to let a vehicle where it is rife to exist. Kids are subject to peer pressure to have it as it's the latest thing and then these people are totally unaccountable for their actions. It's not right in a civilised society in my opinion. This app is dangerous especially for people with mental health issues.130 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Eric Joannides

Southport Says - Promote Safe Alternatives to FrackingEvidence from other countries and from the only Fracking to be carried out todate in the UK at Preece Hall in Lancashire demonstrates the industry has a proven record of environmental failures. At Preece Hall, which was being Fracked by Cuadrilla in 2011, as many as 46 earth tremors and 2 official earthquakes were experienced resulting in the site being closed down. Evidence has also been considered by the governments own Environmental Audit Committee and as part of their 2015 report they concluded: "Despite the assurances from some that environmental risks can be safely accommodated by existing regulatory systems, an extensive range of uncertainties remains over particular hazards—to groundwater quality and water supplies, from waste and air emissions, to our health and to biodiversity, to the geological integrity of the areas involved, and from noise and disruption. Uncertainty about their significance is in part a reflection of the fact that fracking operations have yet to move beyond the exploratory stage in the UK. It is imperative that the environment is protected from potentially irreversible damage. • Fracking must be prohibited outright in protected and nationally important areas. • Full containment of methane must be mandated. • Fracking should be prohibited in all water source protection zones.148 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Paul Bradshaw

Save the National Musicians' ChurchSt Sepulchre’s, the National Musicians’ Church, is an integral part of British amateur and professional musical life. In its north chapel lie the ashes of the founder of the Proms, Sir Henry Wood, along with a Book of Remembrance inscribed with the names of deceased distinguished British musicians. The church has long been a beacon for professional musicians and for all those who passionately support church music of all traditions. The decision to permit no further rehearsals or concerts by external users seems to go against the church’s own stated intention to be a ‘a spiritual home for musicians, and a place where excellence in music is used to the glory of God’. We ask the Parish Council to reconsider their decision and work with representatives of musician users to find a mutually beneficial way forward.8,111 of 9,000 SignaturesCreated by Richard Robbins

STOP PEREGRINE DRIVE BECOMING A VEHICLE THROUGH ROADPeregrine Drive is a narrow residential cul de sac barely passable by a two way flow of traffic. This is obviously heightened in the evenings / weekends with residents parking on pavement kerbs. Peregrine Drive will not withstand the increased traffic associated with the new Uryside School c/w recycle centre / erection of 416 Dwelling houses and 4 off Commercial Units. This petition is important to protect the wellbeing of not only the children of Peregrine Drive but all children of Uryside School.338 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Natasha Bowie

Karen | A Mother's PlightKaren Perry | Wife | Mother | Full-time carer. Karen has been married to Marcus for 33 years, their marriage has seen two wonderful sons introduced to our world. Karen is a valued member of a Care Group which cares for Adults with severe learning difficulties such as Autism and Downs Syndrome, near Middlesbrough, where she works tirelessly to help others, always prioritising other peoples needs over her own. Karen is from Cape Town, South Africa. Her Grandfather moved there from Norfolk after his father had served in the Anglo Boer war as a blacksmith. It is where she met Marcus and love blossomed, and soon marriage bells rang. Karen and Marcus decided to move to the United Kingdom in 2006, so that Marcus could be nearer his Welsh family and their sons would have better education and career opportunities. Marcus is a qualified electrical engineer who was sadly diagnosed with a brain tumour, due to the effects of his illness Marcus has been unable to work for the past 7 years but retrained as a lecturer and started to work again briefly. He relapsed about a year ago and has had to rely on Karen for support and care since. It would have been easy for Karen to focus her full attention on her husband, his illness warranted it. However, Karen knew that her service users at the Care Center needed her too. It was never in doubt, Karen decided to split her time between caring for her husband and continuing her support for her service users. Sadly Karen now needs the support of others, the Home Office has decided that she is not entitled to or merits British Citizenship. The Home Office stated in their refusal letter that Karen had not proved proficiency in English even though she had passed the "Life in the UK Test" and was told that she wouldn't have to prove proficiency again. This was confirmed on the uk.gov website. After Karen sought assistance from her local MP, Alex Cunningham, the website was changed to reflect new conditions. Without citizenship, Karen is left in a state of limbo. This cannot be right, so I ask you to please show your love and support for Karen by signing our petition. Kind regards to all and thank you172 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Andrew Carmody

Stop another needless NHS privatisationNHS Professionals is an in-house employment agency for health professionals. All of its profits remain within the NHS. The agency is able to provide staff for significantly less than its commercial competitors, so it contributes to lower costs for the NHS units to which it provides staff. If this agency is sold off, its rates will have to increase, if only to provide a return for the new owners. Long term, this seems certain to increase financial pressure on the NHS in the form of higher agency costs for vital staff. The sell-off has been planned for some time, but has hardly hit the radar screen, and negotiations are being conducted now. However, the nature of the contract, the names of the bidders, and projected sale price are all cloaked in commercial confidentiality. It seems entirely possible that the deal could be concluded before Parliament returns after the summer recess, so there will be no opportunity for democratic scrutiny. The public, and Parliament, will be presented with a 'done deal', and the unit's competitors will heave a sigh of relief.42 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Brian Toole

Rehouse ClaviaClavia Chambers is a 33 year old mother of two young children , aged 2 and 8 . She was evicted on August 9th from her home in Brixton at 10am . She had no one helping her but me and I had only met her the day before. Together we trudged through the pouring rain to Lambeth Housing offices , with as many of her possessions as we could carry. We arrived soaking wet at Olive Morris House , where Clavia pleaded for temporary emergency accommodation for herself and her two children . Can I say deaf ears ? Yes. The duty manager said plainly that she would not house this desperate and vulnerable family. Furthermore , if Clavia persisted in remaining in Olive Morris House ( the housing office for Lambeth council ) till she was housed then the police would be asked to remove her onto the street with her children. Lambeth has a duty of care to this family and they are in denial of this fact , through claiming that she has made herself intentionally homeless due to rent arrears. An intentionally non transparent system of incredible complexity exists in Lambeth housing. Chaos and confusion is created resulting in so called shortfalls of rent occurring , hence the 'arrears' . A chronic shortage of well qualified lawyers willing and available to take on legal aid cases means she has been denied proper representation hence being evicted by the council. The solicitor she used did not attend the court to act on her behalf. She was , therefore, evicted. I am asking every sane person out there with a heart to sign this petition and send a loud and clear message to Lib Peck , leader of Lambeth Council that this chronically inhumane treatment , throwing a family out onto the streets is entirely unacceptable and against basic human rights. Lambeth council has a duty of care to this vulnerable family however many times the housing office continues to deny this. Thankyou .3,251 of 4,000 SignaturesCreated by Torla Evans

Demand that the BBC commission another series of Count Arthur StrongIn this time when the majority of comedians think that they are funny if they use a tirade of foul language about every topic they mention, it is refreshing to watch a comedian that doesn't. The comedy series Count Arthur Strong is a show that can literally be watched by the whole family without any fear of embarrassment.31 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Gary Shawcross

Put speed bumps on merchiston road before a child gets injuredAs a resident of the local area I have witnessed numerous near misses on both animals such as swans dogs and cats. As well as children. I don't want it to come down to someone being killed before something is done. Motorists during the busy periods use it as a way of overtaking congestion on the A9 using speeds in excess of 60 mph.6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Angela Ross
