More focus on these life skills throughout schoolI am 12 years old and in my second year of secondary education. It has been on my mind for some time that the school curriculum doesn't provide kids with many of the life skills which will be vital to us as adults. Such as; Basic first aid Politics, how to vote Mental health awareness including self care and it's importance Interview skills, writing a cv Social skills - about empathy and respect for others. Awareness of physical and emotional abuse. Recognising signs of gas lighting etc. Sex education should include much more about relationships, self respect and emotions. We should learn about current events and how they affect us. Feminism, equal rights. Law Human rights, how many people can name all 30? Financial issues should be incorporated into our maths lessons, such as: How bank accounts, mortgages and ISAs work Basic Money management and household budgeting We have PSHE days now and then (one each term) but we spend much of these days socialising with friends, watching dvds etc. There is not enough time dedicated to learning these key skills. The basics should be taught from primary school age. We are constantly spoken to about what we want to do when we are adults, but we don't learn the basic skills to get us through those years, we only seem to learn how to pass exams and then what? Thanks for taking the time to read this. Please sign and share this petition so we can change things for future generations in the UK! Jake Pritchard 145 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Jake Pritchard

Stop cuts to IVF in Bristol, North Somerset and South GloucestershireThe NHS Bristol is being crushed under budget cuts. Now fertility services in the Bristol area are under threat. Current proposals are to limit treatment to to women aged between 30 & 35 years (previously anyone up to the age of 40 was eligible) where there are no existing children and only one cycle will be offered. The upper age limit for men to receive treatment will also be reduced to 52 years. Half the couples who currently receive treatment in the Bristol area will no longer qualify and will be forced to pay for treatment privately or go without. These proposed cuts to fertility funding are a shameless attack on desperate women and couples and will do little to nothing to relieve the budgetary pressures that the NHS is under.1,319 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Kitty W

Make housing developers be transparent in SalfordCurrent planning law states that if a developer will make less than 20% profit on a new development, they can ignore a council's regulations about building affordable and social housing. Leaked documents from several developers have shown that the maths they use to work out their profit margins are purposefully misleading, allowing them to claim they will make less than 20% profit on a development by undervaluing the prices of the houses they will sell and over-costing the labour. To combat this Islington, Greenwich, Lambeth and Bristol councils have introduced a policy that forces developers "viability assessments" to be made public. By bringing these dodgy maths into the public domain, Councils, campaigning groups and individuals will be able to hold developers to account and force them to use more honest maths. The Salford Star estimates that over 1,000 affordable properties have been lost to the city via these 'viability' get out clauses, plus over £40million in planning fees and obligations. Barratt Homes even acknowledged the controversy that surrounds the avoidance of fees by developers... "We note the Council has supported residential developments based upon viability to support a reduced contribution, and this can be met with local political and community unease" See these Salford Star articles to read how Salford Council cocked it all up: http://www.salfordstar.com/article.asp?id=2770 http://salfordstar.com/article.asp?id=3534 http://www.salfordstar.com/article.asp?id=3574 ...And then please sign this petition...152 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Stephen Kingston

Stop the re-introduction of the Workhouse. The whole idea of Universal benefit was to eliminate the exploitation of the poor and disadvantaged. the re-introduction of this concept is a social disgrace and it should be stopped. We should also not continue the current propaganda campaign to encourage the UK Public to blame the unemployed for our economic problems which, in reality, rest exclusively with the government.12 of 100 SignaturesCreated by John Jones

Change the name of Latimer Road station to GrenfellThe fire at Grenfell tower saw a tragic loss of life, innocent people dying in the most horrific of circumstances. I propose that Latimer Road Underground Station should be renamed in honour of those that have suffered, and to the lessons we must take forward. A permanent renaming would see future generations being aware of the history of the area. London has Monument station which is a testament to those that died in the great fire of London of 1666, an event that shook the city to its core. The current name of Latimer Road is misleading. Latimer Road is located 5 minutes from where the station is, I therefore see no reason why such a change could not come about. The shell Grenfell Tower is located 100m from the station, the train line passes by it . We should not try to block out the horrors but look forward and work together. Efforts are on going to safeguard our families at this time but we must be wise to our choices and make the world a safer place. The renaming to Grenfell would give some permanence those that died in the fire.1,537 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Rory Guinness

End The Unfair Pricing of Gendered ProductsWhy should women pay up to 37% more than men to shave, wash and keep themselves smelling fresh? It is 2017 and yet women are still being treated unfairly, earning less and paying more for basic toiletries, whilst men earn more and pay less. What example is Boots giving to the future generations by setting this terrible example in the UK?14 of 100 SignaturesCreated by DaisyandAbbie .com

Increase political education in schools for 11-18 year oldsBy increasing education, interest will likely be developed, which can counter the abysmally low youth turnouts at elections. A better informed public can help boost election results.4 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Ben Carroll

Cabinet Minister for DisabilityCare & Disability deserve a place alongside Health and Education as one of the great offices of state. The UN recently described the plight of people with disabilities in Britain as a “human catastrophe”.The Equality and Human Rights Commission says disabled people are second-class citizens. Hit by cuts and a punishing assessment system many people with disabilities are in the fight of their lives. They feel marginalised and humiliated. We need a new approach and the best place to start is at the top. A junior minister in the DWP is the wrong person in the wrong place. Ask party leaders to show their commitment by appointing a Cabinet Minister. Sign the petition.2,609 of 3,000 SignaturesCreated by Alain Catzeflis
