Villa Road and Hunters Road are being used as a dumping ground for illegal fly tippers, and as a race track for speeding vehicles. Pavements are impossible to use because of inconsiderate parking. Anti social behaviour has increased since the part sale of the council owned carpark in 2014. This is having a direct impact on local businesses and people living within.

This photo is of Samim and Ted the cat. Samim is 22 and comes from Afghanistan. He was placed with me by KRAN (Kent Refugee Action Network) & Refugees at Home and has been staying with me for over four months. Sam left Afghanistan two years ago; his life was in danger from the Taliban because of family and work issues. He came to England via the camps at Calais. I never asked too many details as he became visibly upset when talking about it, but from what I can gather it was a distressing journey. Sam's father is a UK citizen and has lived here for ten years. He suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome and Sam is his father's main carer, visiting him every day at his B&B, taking food and accompanying him to mosque for prayers. Sam is a loyal and dutiful son, and his father depends on his love and support. When I first met Sam for a coffee, I asked if he liked cats, because he would have to like my cat Ted if he came to stay with me. He assured me he did. Sam arrived for trial period of a week and we got on so well, he has ended up staying with me ever since. He and Ted became the best of friends. Ted sleeps on his bed every night and sits by his bedroom door when he is out. At home we talk about, family, religion, history and the cat – lots about the cat. I am constantly trying to feed him toast and biscuits, Sam has a very sweet tooth! On Tuesday 4th July Sam went to his monthly signing at the immigration office in London Bridge as usual. That afternoon I had a text from him telling me not to worry but he's been taken into custody. He could be sent back to Afghanistan at any time. It is so deeply upsetting. He sounded scared and confused. Perhaps I have been naïve, but I never imagined this would ever happen to the gentle, funny young man I know. So what happened? Samim had problems with his first solicitor, Samim now has a new solicitor who is trying to submit a fresh asylum claim to the Home Office but needs some time to do so, his previous claim was not handled correctly. I visited Sam at the immigration detention centre; he is trying to remain positive and is always so grateful for any small gesture of kindness. Sam is not just a number, not just a statistic – he's a shy, lovely, funny, polite and harmless young man who needs our help. Sam likes cricket, Ted the cat, history and learning English. I hear from him via text most days. He's still managing to be positive. Here is one of his messages: Hi Dear kavel. Im so happy to hear from you. I am okay. Ill be strong. Thanks for everythink i really Appreciate that Dear kavel. Your so kind. Here is all facillieties . Well it happens no need for sory. I hope u and tedd be well. I miss you and my lovely fatty teddy. Please Take care of yourself and our teddy. and ill let u know about appointment. It is terrifying to think of Samim being sent back to Afghanistan – a country he fled because his life was in danger. I am also concerned for his father here in the UK, who depends on him so much. Samim can not gather fresh evidence for his Asylum case whilst in the detention centre. I received some bad news about Samim today, he is booked on a flight back to Afghanistan, Saturday the 26th of August. His Solicitor has asked for a judicial review, if this is declined, he will be returned to Afghanistan. Please sign the petition asking the Minister of State for Immigration, the Rt Hon Brandon Lewis MP to give Samim and his solicitor time to appeal on his asylum status. We are asking for a grace period of 90 days where he is released from detention to give him time to gather fresh evidence.

Leaked documents from several developers have shown that the maths they use to work out their profit margins are purposefully misleading, allowing them to claim they will make less profit than is accurate on a development by undervaluing the prices of the houses they will sell and over-costing the labour. To combat this Islington, Greenwich, Lambeth and Bristol councils have introduced a policy that forces developers "viability assessments" to be made public. By bringing these dodgy maths into the public domain, Councils, campaigning groups and individuals will be able to hold developers to account and force them to use more honest maths.

If this bus service loses its subsidy, many residents will be left isolated, with their only means of transport out of the villages of Biddulph Moor and Gillow Heath cut off. It's a vital public service and will impact on people being able to go the the doctors, dentist and supermarket. It will affect people's mental health - social isolation plays a huge role in people's health and well-being. It will also have a negative impact on students wishing to access further education at Leek College.

Edward Colston was a Bristol-born English slave trader, merchant and Member of Parliament. Much of his wealth was acquired through the trade and exploitation of slaves. Yet we celebrate and commemorate him with a statue in our beloved city centre. He has no place there. Following the events in Charlottesville and the announcement that the Colston Hall will be renamed, it seems appropriate that his statue also be removed. Whilst history shouldn't be forgotten, these people who benefited from the enslavement of individuals do not deserve the honour of a statue. This should be reserved for those who bring about positive change and who fight for peace, equality and social unity. We hereby encourage Bristol city council to remove the Edward Colston Statue. He does not represent our diverse and multicultural city.

Our children deserve better than being taught in crumbling and overcrowded schools. Dunfermline continues to grow rapidly. It's a great place to live and for children to grow up. But our children are now being faced with the prospect of being separated from their friends because there is simply no room left at their local high school. Enough is enough. Parents are fed up of excuses and fed up of catchment changes, which only cause further anxiety for parents and children and fail to solve the long term issue. It's now time for action to ensure that all children in our community can attend their local high school and access the best possible learning environment. We have waited long enough. We've heard lots of promises but there is still no sign of the hard cash! We demand that the Scottish Government #FundOurSchools now so Fife Council can get on with building the new schools our growing community desperately needs.

Our moorlands are being stripped of wildlife by gamekeepers who kill natural predators to preserve grouse raised to be shot for 'sport'. The production of Foie Gras is nothing short of torturous, it is illegal to produce it in the UK because of the horrific suffering of foie ducks and geese.

Self-employed parents are not eligible for Shared Parental Pay (ShPP). The current system of Maternity Allowance for the self-employed places the entire burden of childcare onto the mother, and offers no financial support for self-employed fathers or same-sex partners wanting to share childcare. We would like to see ShPP implemented for self-employed parents, as it would allow them more flexibility to successfully run their businesses without claiming any more money from the government than the mothers are currently entitled to. Self-employed mothers claiming Maternity Allowance have none of the legal protections afforded to employees when they go on maternity leave, so the flexibility to share childcare and stop and start their maternity pay in order to maintain their business becomes even more crucial. We believe that in 2017 gender-equality is a fundamental right, not an optional extra reserved for those in traditional employment.

Because Oxford deserves affordable housing.

The Daily Mail had been known for spreading hateful, sexist and racist headlines. It has given a prominent voice to individuals such Katie Hopkins where she said migrants were 'cockroaches''. We do not wish to see well established and popular companies such as EBay and Sainsbury's having anything to do with the hateful publication.

The Daily Mail is a newspaper full of hatred. At this time, we need hope, and not hate.
