• Tenants rejection at proposed Parking Bay Paid Scheme
We have been a Neighbourhood Community for over 20 years and we must prevent this method of imposing charges on those in hardship especially with the increase in cost of living during this economic downturn.

  • Save Lake Windermere!
We will not accept the wanton destruction of such precious habitats and DEMAND, with immediate Government intervention that the despoiling of England's largest and most iconic inland body of water ceases with immediate effect. The privatised companies responsible must quite simply invest in the capital projects and infrastructure required to manage our waste properly and responsibly. This is what we pay them to do. It ought to be deemed some kind of breach of contract! If they cannot they should be fined for the damage they are responsible for and their industry taken back into public hands as a matter of urgency. The Government should NOT legally allow any percentages of untreated sewage release. This merely encourages pollution!..these 'allowances' are often maximised as I understand it. This is foreseeable under the Capitalist model. I am no expert in matters of water and sewage treatment but from my knowledge of what happened with cholera in Victorian London and Basiljet's ingenious solutions (unsurprisingly relied upon to this day) swift, effective action can be taken. Yes its expensive but. This problem CAN be solved. Too late for much of the wildlife that has recently been killed in this rich soup of raw sewage, nitrate run off, hormones and unabsorbed antidepressant and other medication. Is a shareholders dividend worth more than the beauty of a lake which symbolises bucolic English pastoral magnificence like no other. Immortalised by Wordsworth, Ruskington, Beatrix Potter and a myriad of our finest landscape painters, photographers and Writers, are we to give it up so easily?

  • New Sutton Hospital Now
This new hospital is urgently needed to bring our NHS facilities into the 21st century and to provide top quality care. In the meantime many people will continue to suffer and lives will continue to be unnecessarily lost. Staff morale is at an all time low because of this.

  • Stop effluent being discharged by Water Companies
With ever growing urbanisation the problem of water companies discharging untreated effluent can only get worse. They must be made to invest in new technologies but it has to come at government level. We need to send a clear message to Ofwat.

  • Annual Bowel Cancer Screening
I was diagnosed with Bowel cancer aged 37 after being misdiagnosed with diverticulitis. Misdiagnosis is common in people under 50 because they are considered too young to have Bowel cancer and red flags are ignored. There is no age limit to Bowel cancer. There are approximately 42,886 cases of Bowel Cancer each year. Bowel Cancer has a 54% survival rate, if caught early enough. There is no action you can take to prevent bowel cancer, it is considered “The smoking old man’s meat eating cancer” which is simply not the case for everybody. My doctors have not been able to identify a single reason why I have this cancer and I don’t fit the bill at all. It is possible it has been present for years even though I am “too young” to have it. My blood loss and pain was thought to be a gynaecological issue and I was diagnosed with a Anaemia. Even a perforated bowel didn’t seem to ring alarm bells. Cancer was not a consideration. We now know I was losing blood via stools, without realising and a tumour had perforated my bowel, eventually causing excruciating pain. Screening could have detected this and I may not have had to have part of my colon removed in emergency surgery and have to live with a stoma. I want it made possible to stop this cancer in its tracks before it gets to my stage or further for anybody else. After all, if Bowel cancer develops it can also spread to lymph nodes then onto other organs which can be even more devastating. Let’s try to prevent more Bowel cancer related deaths in the future by screening adults aged over 30 annually and allowing anyone over 18 to opt in as well. • Parking in Fresh Wharf Road
The parking situation in Fresh Wharf road has become unbearable to the tenants. A lot of individuals and guests continuously receive parking tickets after hours and especially on weekends. We have decided that if the parking situation does not change or tenants are not giving underground access, then we will have no choice but to opt to relocate to different residences away from Fresh Wharf Road, therefore we urge you to make changes to the parking situation here for the residents.

  • Ofgem reapply last November's pricecap
Millions of citizens are and will suffer, maybe even die, as a direct result of removing the energy price cap. The energy companies are making billions of pounds in profit, which mainly goes to shareholders and directors, it's not put back into providing new pipework, green energy or into lowering prices where it needs to be. Ofgem please Reinstate the energy price cap to where it was in November 2021 and for the energy providers to immediately reduce their prices. This is extremely important for the good of the whole country, nobody can afford the obscene prices that are now being charged. It will be forcing families to choose between heating and eating and people will die as a direct result. As usual, the poorest will suffer the most, but everyone will suffer if we don't stop these obscene price hikes in their tracks. It is time for the British people to stand up and fight back. Stop these greedy parasites from killing, now.

  • The government must fund more medical training now
This is an ethical issue, but it is also an economic one. If we can improve the health of people in the global South, the global economy will improve. Furthermore, if we reduce the number of trained health professionals in less developed nations we are increasing the risk of further global medical emergencies. We need action now to plan how to become medically self-sufficient within the next ten years.
