  • No Derby Child Goes Hungry
This matters because, without the added food vouchers, families on low incomes in Derby will struggle to feed their children this summer. No child should go hungry in our city this summer.

  • Meat should not be publicly advertised
The mistreatment of animals is sever and is getting out of hand. In this letter I would like to persuade you to support veganism and to help stop cruelty. Firstly, veganism has many health benefits so by advertising meat instead of vegetables we are doing the same harm as to advertising cigarettes. It is vital to be considerate of those who are vegan and if meat is to be advertised the process of which how it is made should be shown on the ad. Inspections could possibly be done to ensure animals are being treated properly. The truth has to be exposed and animals deserve better rights. Adverts should not be put on tv and not on banners / posters. In addition to this there should be no meat ads on public busses. Advertising meat on a bus is like advertising a religion on it.

  • Reduce the noise from illegally modified motorcycles and mopeds by implementing existing legal means
Noise pollution is an invisible danger. It cannot be seen, but it is present nonetheless, Noise pollution is considered to be any unwanted or disturbing sound that affects the health and well-being of humans and other organisms. Sound is measured in decibels. There are many sounds in the environment, from rustling leaves (20 to 30 decibels) to a thunderclap (120 decibels) to the wail of a siren (120 to 140 decibels). Sounds that reach 85 decibels or higher can harm a person’s ears. Sound sources that exceed this threshold include familiar things, such as power lawn mowers (90 decibels), underground trains (90 to 115 decibels), and loud rock concerts (110 to 120 decibels). Noise pollution impacts millions of people on a daily basis. The most common health problem it causes is Noise Induced Hearing Loss. Exposure to loud noise can also cause high blood pressure, heart disease, sleep disturbances, and stress. These health problems can affect all age groups, especially children. Many children who live near noisy airports or streets have been found to suffer from stress and other problems, such as impairments in memory, attention level, and reading skill.

  • Let's have a proper celebration for our team to show we won't tolerate abuse from a minority
I'm not a football fan but I watched the match last night and was proud of the way our team performed. The whole experience was spoilt by a minority of fans who shout loudly and have been given far too much attention. We need to shout louder than them in support of the team. Boris Johnson says he condemns the racist fans. Let him show us he's genuine by enabling us to show our pride in the team.

  • Mental health part of the national curriculum
Our health and well-being is the most important thing to look after if you don’t look after who will. The government has a responsibility to raise awareness of our health and well-being and not just ours but those who also work in our communities and workplaces those who work in our emergency services like the NHS the police and fire services and the care workers and key workers their health and well-being is the most important thing and the government needs to act now on these issues and end the stigma around mental health issues and get everyone talking about mental health issues in their communities and workplaces. Thank you
