• Bus Transport for Seafar community
It will disrupt the community system of daily activities. And this area will be caught off from the society which means there is no equality for the people with others with buses.

  • Get our maternity and children services back at the Alexandra hospital in Redditch
I gave birth to my little boy Albie on the 24th of December 2021. I was supposed to have a caesarean section as he was breach but I travelled 45 minutes to Worcester just to find out that I was 4 cm dilated but had to wait to have my caesarean as all of the rooms were taken up. Within the space of half an hour of them moving me to the delivery suite I was 10cm and was forced to give birth breach as nothing had been done at this point. My little boy ended up coming out with meconium aspiration syndrome as a result of this and had to go to Birmingham children's to have maximum life support. He was in hospital for the first month of his life. We desperately need our maternity and children's services back at the Alexandra hospital as there are many mums in Redditch that are having to travel to Worcestershire Royal to give birth when there is a perfect hospital here in Redditch but we are being forced to travel over to Worcester. This means a lot to me as I don't want any more mothers from Redditch to have to travel all the way over to Worcester like me. I know two other mums who have done so and we all had traumatic experiences.

  • Miller Highbrae Homeowners Dispute of grassed areas.
We have all invested in our homes and chose Highbrae to meet our expectations as homeowners. The first impression of the development is well below par and not what we collectively bought into. Miller have been able to turf other areas of the estate - so why not the grass verges on Damselfly Road, Goldeneye Green and the areas up by the playpark? Collectively we are paying factor's fees when there is little or no grass to maintain. Miller have a responsibility to us all to rectify the areas mentioned to an acceptable standard.

  • Get Our Government to draw up a written Constitution!
This is important to ensure that any future governments cannot take advantage of the people's trust ever again as this most recent administration has done. Most U.K. citizens will be unaware or apathetic to the fact that we do not have a codified constitution. However, they must realise that this is paramount to securely protecting our interests for the future and future generations to come.

  • Martin Lewis deserves to be in the House of Lords
We have found someone who fights for the ordinary people, concerned for their well-being in this financial crisis. We need this person to balance the odds against those who are self-serving and only interested in their own bank balance. And in fighting the wealthy corporations and companies who are supported by the government. It's for us, the ordinary people, who need people with a platform to voice our interests.

  • SAY NO TO TRIPLE ENERGY PROFITS
We all have a voice in the decisions that affect our everyday lives and this current energy price crisis is questionable at best. Together we can raise our observations and thoughts for debate and possibly trigger voting on this point in The House of Commons.

  • Pay student nurses for placements
Nurses are vital in the huge undertaking that is healthcare, and we must make sure they are trained and recruited properly. Being a student is hard in many aspects, notably financially. Student nurses are unable to work over summer as they undertake placements during this period in order to become fully qualified practioners. We are already short of nurses, its why the government must consider easing the financial burden on student nurses. This will drastically improve the quality of our healthcare system and incentivise more students to continue their studies. It is also fair and the moral thing to do.

  • Save Lives. Save Teignmouth Community Hospital. Protect OUR NHS.
We have ONE WEEK to protect the NHS as we know it. On 1st July it will be fragmented into 42 Integrated Care Boards. We are on the slippery slope of having an American style health care system, which the wealthy can afford and the poor cannot. Caring for the elderly, frail and vulnerable shows a civilized society. Enabling sick patients to recover in comfort is vital. Community hospitals are ideal for those who need extra medical intervention on discharge from acute hospitals. We should be proud of our heritage and enable the first purpose-built hospital for the NHS to survive and thrive, especially as it will be a fraction of the cost of the processed new-build Health and Wellbeing Centre, thus SAVING taxpayers' money.

  • Make subtitle viewing available to those who need it
As someone with three, young, deaf children - I want children who are deaf and hard of hearing in West Cumbria to have the opportunity to go to the cinemas with their friends and family and enjoy it in the same way as their peers who are not deaf would. Visiting a cinema is a wonderful experience for many. However, it can be extremely frustrating for a lot of people, due to a lack of accessible cinema screenings. Many individuals benefit from having subtitles/captions on when viewing - but not enough cinemas in West Cumbria show the latest films with subtitled screenings. Cinemas may only show a film once on occasion, this is not accessible for those who require subtitles such as those from the deaf community and those who simply require a visual aid when watching a film. Due to the limited number of accessible cinemas screenings on show, too many people wait until the disc or digital release of films so they can access subtitles - this isn't fair to those who would love the experience of going to watch the latest cinema release. It is now 2022, Rose Ayling Ellis won Strictly Come Dancing in 2021. She made a huge impact in raising awareness for the deaf community - BSL classes have seen a huge increase in numbers of people taking part. I hope that cinemas in West Cumbria and beyond will listen to this petition and make more subtitled screenings available to those that need them.
