Let's paint the i360 tower in pride flag colours! The tower currently looks like a giant cigarette in the sky, let's be honest. Unmissable from most of Brighton and Hove, it might as well be a power station chimney. But why not take this opportunity to put some colour in the sky! Let's create a true Brighton icon and paint the tower in a rainbow! Truly in keeping with the bohemian culture and community, representing Brighton's unique and true colours, proud of standing out from the crowd. Be brave British Airways, i360 team and Brighton community, let's make a change! #paintwithpride https://s.bsd.net/38degrees/main/page/-/CBY/brighton.jpg578 of 600 SignaturesCreated by Pasco Jack

Save Forest of Dean Bus ServicesThere are strong rumours that Forest of Dean bus routes could be seriously reduced or some routes axed in the autumn 2016. A public consultation took place in the summer but the results have not been made public. For many people, these buses are a lifeline: whether it's helping them get to work , or helping more vulnerable members of the community get out to community groups. The resulting cuts will affect the poorest and most vulnerable members of the community, isolating them even further with dire economic, educational, employment, and health implications. Please add your voice to ours.316 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Eddie Parker

LEAP GATE PETITION - KEEP OUR CHILDREN SAFELeap Gate runs through two densely-populated family estates, Castle Mead and Paxcroft Mead, which are served by two primary schools. Since the new stretch of Leap Gate opened in June, HGVs, cars and motor bikes constantly exceed speed limits, putting the lives of residents and their children in danger. Motorists also regularly run the red lights at the Castle Mead pedestrian crossing, endangering the lives of those using it, most vulnerable of whom are children going to and from school during term time. Residents who walk their dogs along Leap Gate are also at risk as they are forced to cross the road in the 50mph zone to gain access to the open space as there is no footpath on the other side of the road. Residents' sleep is being disturbed by noise from the constant flow of traffic through the heart of the estate. Wiltshire Council has failed to adhere to their own Land at East Trowbridge Development Brief which says that potential traffic noise from the link road, Leap Gate, should be mitigated and is to have as little impact as possible on the residents of Castle Mead. Wiltshire Council has repeatedly been asked to extend the 30mph zone on Leap Gate in line with existing housing and to lower the speed limit on the remaining stretch to 40mph to discourage motorists speeding through the whole estate, but they refuse to listen to residents' concerns. Please consider signing our petition!1,008 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Castle Mead Residents

Save The Railings Around The Bowie (Lazarus) Bandstand in BeckenhamWhy is this important? It's important as the railing have protected the bandstand up to now- they were also in place when David Bowie co-organised and performed at a festival there. It is through the bandstand's link to David Bowie that money is being raised to restore it. The railings have been the protective arms around The Bowie/Lazarus Bandstand even to this day and long may this continue. I've organised two festivals there (13th of August 2016 as well as august 12th 2017) to raise funds to restore the bandstand as well as place a plaque there for David Bowie and everyone involved in the 1969 festival. They played an important role and with your help the bandstand's long history will continue. Help us keep the railings in place. Please sign and share this petition. If anyone can help do this it's the David Bowie fans! These railing were surrounding the bandstand when Bowie co-organised the 1969 festival and should remain there helping to protect it as it has been for many, many years, bandstands are disappearing around the country as are the railings around them, so let's keep this one as unique as the person it's now named after, there was only one David Bowie and there's only one Bowie Bandstand! Please note this is not an attack on the council on any other parties involved. It's about keeping history in a time when so much of it is becoming lost or damaged.220 of 300 SignaturesCreated by wendy faulkner

Save Steward Wood - Our Appeal has been rejected - help us save our homesSteward Community Woodland is a hugely important project in terms of the global environmental challenges everyone is currently facing. We have created a far more sustainable way of living on this planet and are sharing the knowledge we have gained with the many hundreds of visitors we receive every year. From our beginnings in 2000, we've been living and working on the land we own for the past 16 years. We recently applied for permanent planning permission which was denied and followed by an appeal. This appeal has been turned down and now we are faced with the prospect of eviction. We NEED YOUR HELP to petition the Dartmoor National Park so we can continue living on the land with our children, all of whom have spent most there lives here. Please share this petition as much as you can.5,442 of 6,000 SignaturesCreated by Steward Wood

Save Old ChurchThe ensuing building work will cause congestion and noise pollution in a place already buzzing with life. The building is currently used by a specialist deaf caring group as one of 3 help centres is the country, or sometimes housing guardians - disadvantaged people allowed to live there and care for the property. The construction of flats could violate privacy of many residents of the road behind backing the church. Demolition of this building would remove a prominent landmark from Balham's skyline, losing a building dating back to the 1880's! Stop the lights going out over GainsboroughIn the interest of safety and security we request that the switching out of lights in residential streets between midnight and 6 am be withdrawn and that LCC follow the example of Doncaster Borough Council by replacing lamps with energy efficient LED lights that will reduce electricity costs by 70% and reduce maintenance costs due to their long life (25 years compared with 6 years). Residents are very concerned that the creation of dark spaces in the town at night will encourage burglaries, anti-social behaviour and accidents. Do let us know of your concerns and any experiences you have related to the lights being out.1,253 of 2,000 SignaturesCreated by Barry Coward

Traffic PetitionIf these companies are allowed to follow through with these proposals then the entire way of life of the residents of Ardersier will change for ever. The high level and type of vehicle they want to use before and after construction will damage not only the roads but the 200 year old properties which are along this route. These properties need to be preserved not destroyed. Help us stop these companies from destroying our historical village.119 of 200 SignaturesCreated by Jenny Bear

Excessive vehicle speeds around LyndhurstThese roads are constantly used by both vehicles and pedestrians and cyclists. Most drivers drive at a very high speed along these roads which the Parish Council feels could have a serious or fatal consequences There have been 2 fatalities in 2014 After many failed attempts to persuade the authorities to act and assist Lyndhurst Parish Council, we feel it's time to ask the public to support our cause to prevent anymore injuries or fatalities.69 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Suttichai Se-upara

No to Edinburgh Rugby at MyresideThis development of the stadium will fundamentally change the nature of our quiet residential area. Thousands of people will regularly be travelling to and parking in the area - Myreside, Merchiston, Craiglockhart, Shandon/Harrison Park and Morningside/Craighouse. These plans will result in: Very large volumes of traffic being brought into the surrounding area, with road safety being a concern. There is already heavy congestion in the vicinity during peak times and these plans will significantly increase problems on roads leading into and out of the area Parking in residential areas and private developments – Edinburgh Rugby estimates what we believe is a conservative 500 cars per match for the trial period. We believe the limited public transport in the area will result in many 100s of cars, minibuses and buses parking in surrounding areas - and those without resident parking permit restrictions will be most affected - as supporters follow their teams for across UK and Europe. Visual and environmental impact of a large stadium complex being built. Noise and litter problems, temporary food stalls and bars, anti-social behaviour.304 of 400 SignaturesCreated by Mark Coyne
