SAVE OUR GUARDSThis is important because of health and safety issues - what if someone is having a heart attack on board and no guard to offer assistance, if the train is involved in an accident there needs to be a guard to asisst the driver etc,,,,etc,,,,etc Some fantastic news is my local parliamentarian Jeff Smith MP for Withington, Manchester is supporting this campaign, here is his message:- Dear Prince Frederick, Thank you for contacting me recently about increasing rail fares, service cuts, and staff reductions on the UK rail network. I believe that our railways are a vital public service and I agree that it is deeply concerning that rail fares increased 3.4% in January 2018. This staggering increase is the biggest fare rise in the last five years, and I am concerned that it is making rail travel unaffordable for many people. Pricing passengers off the railway threatens the sustainability of the network as a whole, and I believe the Government should cap rail fares with the consumer price index to provide clarity on pricing. As you are aware, the RMT has been campaigning against the expansion of Driver Only Operation (DOO) services and cuts to staffing across the rail network. I agree that the Government should halt the expansion of DOO services and stop cutting jobs across the railway industry to ensure that staffing levels remain safe at all times. I am committed to prioritising public service over private profit, which is why the manifesto I stood on at the 2017 General Election pledged to bring our railways back into public ownership. I believe this would allow us to provide passengers with real benefits, such as capped fares and free Wi-Fi across the rail network. I am confident that taking back control of our railways would provide tangible benefits for the rail users across the UK. I believe our fragmented, privatised railway has driven up costs and left passengers paying more for less. Furthermore, I am concerned that the Government has the wrong priorities for the railway, as it has chosen to award Stagecoach and Virgin a £2 billion taxpayer bailout, at the same time as implementing the steepest fares hike in five years, de-staffing trains and pulling promised investment. Thank you again for making me aware of your views on this issue. I can assure you that I will continue to fight for a properly funded railway run in the public interest, with fair fares and adequate staffing. Yours sincerely, Jeff Smith MP for Manchester Withington 0161 445 0678 (Manchester Withington Office) Unit 1, Withington Fire Station, 505-507 Wilmslow Road, Withington, M20 4AW 0207 219 5878 (office in Parliament) House of Commons, London, SW1A 0AA14 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Prince Frederick von Saxe-Lauenberg

Celebrate Religious DiversityChristians are officially the most persecuted minority in the world at the moment, Jews have a long and painful history of persecution and Islamophobia is prevalent in our society. It would be wonderful for SE railway to start conversations amongst customers and colleagues by demonstrating how much all of these groups have in common. It would also combat religious illiteracy which is leading to intolerance in our society.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by James Rawbone

Bus service for residents on the quay and Riverside viewThe Riverside view estate is quite isolated and can be dangerous to walk to and from. With the wagons that speed down the quay with no obvious speed limit indicated and the industrial estate behind is a hazard to walk through. The nearest bus service is the 11 from the marsh which is 15-20 minute walk away, or a 35 minute walk into the town centre which can be issue for young families, people who are unable to drive, disabled and the elderly.88 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Leanne Owens

Instant Rail Travel RefundsTime is the most precious commodity we have. It is unacceptable for all of us to be late for work and equally disappointing and disruptive for us to get home late to our families every evening. Most of us have very tight busy schedules that make it imperative that we reach our destinations on time. For years now the British public have put up with the incompetent service provided by an array of rail companies. I propose that an instant refund should be applied immediately to your Oyster card when exiting a station for a severely delayed or cancelled service will firstly compensate the commuter for their disrupted journey, but also encourage rail companies to rectify the problem quickly for future journeys before they see their profits plummet via refunds. There must be a consequence for the rail companies when they are not delivering an efficient service. Commuters are the only ones that are suffering at the moment and I believe it is time to give something back to the commuter until the problem can be solved. I am aware that there are 3rd party companies that can search and claim refunds on your behalf but why is this not just standard from TFL why do I need to share my data with an outside unknown source in order to get compensation. Its should be immediate and provided by the TFL themselves. Lets make it happen.12 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Sebastian Bowen

keep our public transport in Stoke-On-TrentOn the 22nd July D&G bus Ltd are planning to cease providing transport to some of our towns within the city. The routes that will be affected are: * Service 2a, which runs from Birches head to Hanley, Festival park Newcastle and Westbury park, will be withdrawn completely; * The number 8 Hanley to Norton service, which runs via Smallthorne, will no longer operate on Sundays and bank holidays; *The number 20 from Hanley to Bentilee, Coalville. Meir and Longton will terminate at Coalville and wont run at all on Sundays; *Services 21A and 23A which operates between Hanley and Trentham Gardens will be withdrawn; *Services A, B and C linking Stone. Walton, Cherryfields Stonefield and Aston Lodge will also be axed. These services are used by Families for days out and shopping purposes. the elderly use these also for shopping purposes and to socialise, and many people use these services to travel to and from work. As taxis can be costly many people will lose out; The elderly may become more lonely as for a lot of people it's the only time they get out and see people, families will not be able to take trips into Hanley to visit the beautiful parks etc. and people may be forced to give up their employment. Also the people that use the services to go to the markets and supermarkets would have to use the smaller shops in their area which don't always stock everything they need and can prove more costly. please support us by signing this petition and help stop the cuts the bus companies are making to our dwindling public transport.23 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Claire Slater

20 mile an hour zone for Narborough VillageCars speed through the village and there have been many close missing at zebra crossing near the school Many children walk to school as it serves the village, this involves many children crossing the main road through the village There is an alternative faster route for drivers that do not need access to the school. There is flats for the elderly next to the main road, and two locations along the road Many children cycle through the village to access Brockington High School. At the village boundary there is access to a cycle path, the only road they travel on is through the village. Reducing speed would encourage more people to access the cycle route that leads to local facilities56 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Michelle Rickerby

No CBE for Mark CarneAs head of National Rail, he has presided over a period of extreme frustration and utter chaos among the majority of users of the national rail network. Not only has this lead to personal exasperation, but it also severly damages the credibility of the rail system.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by John McGill

Safe route to schoolOur children should have a safe route to access their secondary school. Blaby district council see the current Road as safe for our children to walk or cycle down during busy periods. What will it take for this to change? death of a child? This not only saves parents pockets, this also heightens our childrens health as they have a more active lifestyle of getting to and from school. Walking down a grass verge is not safe. A footpath needs to be implemented.8 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Amanda Harvey
