Constant cancellations, delays reduced Weekend services due to strikes

The stretch of the A6 between Wingates and Chequerbent roundabout currently has a 40mph speed limit. This is a built up area which in recent years has had a lot more housing built nearby thus making it very busy with school children and families crossing the road at peak traffic times. Remember the advert which stated "at 40 miles an hour, there’s around an 80% chance I’ll die. Hit me at 30 and there’s around an 80% chance I’ll live." In 2016, 2186 children aged 15 or under were injured or killed whilst walking during morning or afternoon peak times. Under Section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, our council has the power to make a traffic order reducing speed limits where people live, and where children walk and play. Please sign this petition to ensure that cars are driving at reasonable speeds which allow a much reduced stopping distance and a vastly reduced danger to our children.

Without a proper rail link the whole of the South West of England will suffer economically, and socially as business looks elsewhere and people migrate to areas with good transport links to seek work. The South West is a fantastic community that we don't want to see stagnate and end up as a backwater. David Cameron stood on Dawlish Station and said "All options will be considered and a new plan for South West rail links put into place" Three years down the line and nothing new has happened and the track is still being closed by waves and rock falls. It is time to remind Government of their commitments and to stand up for our community, so sign the petition and let's see if people power can achieve some positive action.

This is important because it would take a lot of pressure off parents and their children. It would also keep the roads safer as it would mean less traffic on the lochloy Road as buses would mean less cars.

Under current eligibility criteria you must currently live in a designated London borough in order to apply. This excludes thousands of older people who live in the outskirts of London and use TFL services in their local area, simply because they do not currently live in a designated London borough. As someone who was born in London and has lived in London for over 40 years and now living a few hundred metres the wrong side of the "border", I find this particularly unjust.

This is a safety critical job, meaning that more customers will feel safe on the railways. Current disputes are going on for no obvious reason, disrupting millions of commuters every week. They would not allow motorcyclists/ scooter riders to work without obeying traffic laws so why do they allow their cyclists to flaunt the law.

We need to have good alternatives to high polluting fossil fuels. An effective & proven way to support alternative fuels is by lower taxation as we already have with LPG/CNG. Promote cleaner transport fuels that can be used in existing vehicles to dramatically lower pollution by up to 80% per vehicle. Action, not words are needed !

The human body is not designed to be awake for the amount of time we are allowed to be on the bus. 21 hours is to long and is not safe

1.To protect wildlife (bats, squirrels, badgers, foxes, birds) 2.Removing oxygen producing plants which contribute to sustaining the local ecosystem will have a negative impact environmentally 3. Removing natural defences (from the sound of the railway to natural flood defences) will have an impact on the homes in and around the planned tree felling area

South Yorkshire traffic is in crisis: we need a better bus service to encourage people out of their cars. Too much traveller time is wasted in traffic queues. Nitrogen dioxide and particulates in vehicle emissions cause asthma, heart disease, Alzheimer's and early death.

It's important because it's an accident waiting to happen especially in the afternoon when there is no crossing patrol to help parents and children to cross this extremely busy road. My 3yr old daughter and in-laws were involved in a near miss crossing this road on 4/10/18. Following a message on social media I have found out in the last month since the school returned from summer break there have been at least three other near miss incidents and one child has been knocked over. A crossing has been talked about for years on this site but nothing has been done. With all the extra traffic created by the new housing estates in the area the situation is only going to get worse. We need Essex Highways to take action ASAP before a serious accident occurs.
