It will cost every man woman and child in the UK £780.00 each, assuming it's on budget. There isn't sufficient people that will use the service to make it worth while. The say the trains will hold 1100 people and they will run every 3 minutes, that's 22,000 people per hour. In 10 hours that would be 220,000 where will they all go?

Leap Gate runs through two densely-populated family estates, Castle Mead and Paxcroft Mead, which are served by two primary schools. Since the new stretch of Leap Gate opened in June, HGVs, cars and motor bikes constantly exceed speed limits, putting the lives of residents and their children in danger. Motorists also regularly run the red lights at the Castle Mead pedestrian crossing, endangering the lives of those using it, most vulnerable of whom are children going to and from school during term time. Residents who walk their dogs along Leap Gate are also at risk as they are forced to cross the road in the 50mph zone to gain access to the open space as there is no footpath on the other side of the road. Residents' sleep is being disturbed by noise from the constant flow of traffic through the heart of the estate. Wiltshire Council has failed to adhere to their own Land at East Trowbridge Development Brief which says that potential traffic noise from the link road, Leap Gate, should be mitigated and is to have as little impact as possible on the residents of Castle Mead. Wiltshire Council has repeatedly been asked to extend the 30mph zone on Leap Gate in line with existing housing and to lower the speed limit on the remaining stretch to 40mph to discourage motorists speeding through the whole estate, but they refuse to listen to residents' concerns. Arriva are planning major changes to services into Manchester without even bothering to ask passengers for their views. This is on top of increased fares and overcrowding. Sign this petition to stop Arriva in their tracks.

For four months, during the high season there are frequent two mile tailbacks with traffic crawling in first gear and when there are accidents - which are unfortunately way too frequent - the whole of Fort William grinds to a halt for hours on end. This is having a terrible effect on the local economy and on tourism. It could easily be rectified with the addition of an alternative route to Caol. If money can be found to build a second road bridge over the mighty Forth then surely money can be found to build a bridge over the humble River Lochy.

It is affecting people's working lives and not everyone drives or has access to a car. Many elderly people won't be able to get out and about either.

Community rail partnerships (CRP) have been instrumental in achieving spectacular increases in use of rail through innovative marketing, improved services and better station facilities. Their work includes improving bus links to stations, developing walking and cycling routes, bringing station buildings back to life, art and education projects and organising special events which promote the railway and its relevance to the community. Basically its getting more folks to use trains and encouraging them to use bikes, buses and walking and not use their cars. More passengers strengthen the case for more trains and better stations. In our area we have Gainsborough Central, the worst station in the land according to the Times served by three trains week ( in each direction), all on Saturday. GRaB (Gainsborough, Retford and Brigg rail and bus users group) has already achieved much that would normally be done by a CRP, the latest being the publication of the Gainsborough Travel Guide with all trains and buses in the area shown in one simple guide. However there is a limit to the work that can be done by a users group. A CRP recognised by ACoRP and the DfT has a stronger relationship with train companies who are obliged to work with them.

This has created an additional stealth tax for the motorist whereby the DVLA will collect an additional months road tax for every secondhand vehicle sold. In today's advanced society surely an organisation such as one so large and well funded could work out refunds and charges on a daily rate. This is costing the motorist an additional 20 million pounds a year.

The town will lose 70 parking spaces. The present Bus Station location is perfect and links well with the railway station. We would very much like it to be part of the new development. If this cannot be the case we would like a similar location with links to the railway station. Most importantly the people of Sudbury are not being listened to.

Ryanair threatened to leave two disabled octogenarians and myself aged 76 at Malaga airport because we were unable to download inbound boarding cards, which they do not allow to be downloaded before the outbound flight. We could not download them in Spain because we do not own smartphones. We were humiliated at the airport and forced to scrabble around for the cash. The stress has had an effect on all three of us and spoiled what had been a recuperative holiday. Michael O'Leary, the Chief Exec. of Ryanair told me personally that I should have bought on at an internet café or an hotel." Why not just allow them to be downloaded before flying?" I asked him. If these companies are allowed to follow through with these proposals then the entire way of life of the residents of Ardersier will change for ever. The high level and type of vehicle they want to use before and after construction will damage not only the roads but the 200 year old properties which are along this route. These properties need to be preserved not destroyed. Help us stop these companies from destroying our historical village.

As Scotland moves forward to whatever it's new future entails the fact that the oil industry is in the doldrums and Scotland is a world class destination means tourism will only become more important. The Isle of Skye, whilst becoming ever more popular with visitors, is currently under resourced to meet growing demand to visit the island. This must be addressed to make sure a real opportunity for Scotland's future is met.

These roads are constantly used by both vehicles and pedestrians and cyclists. Most drivers drive at a very high speed along these roads which the Parish Council feels could have a serious or fatal consequences There have been 2 fatalities in 2014 After many failed attempts to persuade the authorities to act and assist Lyndhurst Parish Council, we feel it's time to ask the public to support our cause to prevent anymore injuries or fatalities.
