Ban the import, fishing, purchase and sale of Shark/Shark Fins in the UK.According to many conservative estimates from multiple sources, 100,000,000 sharks are slaughtered for their fins every year. That’s roughly 274,000 sharks a day. That's nearly double the population of the UK - Dying every year. We need regulations now, to protect these species imperil. Fishermen will hack the fins off living sharks and simply throw the rest of their bodies overboard, allowing them to bleed to death. Sinking fin-less, slowly to the bottom of the sea. Shark finning is a wasteful, barbaric practice, but it also has a devastating impact on our oceans. The use of these atrocious practices in the name of archaic traditions and cultures, must stop. How are we to grow as a species if we continue to act like our poorly educated predecessors. We have no excuse.24 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Liam Right

Support for Brexit with or without a dealTheresa May tried and failed to please everybody and was brought down by the remainers deliberate obstacles. I'm not a Conservative but I appeal to whoever wins the Conservative leadership battle, to stand strong as a statesman and deliver the public mandate given to him with or without a deal. Otherwise we will lose another leader and any international respect we have remaining.2 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Ian Clement-May

Access to digital bankingIt is important because many, like me, either do not have a mobile phone, or do not receive a mobile signal. Some banks, such as Nationwide, have solved the problem by supplying customers with a debit card and card reader. HMRC use my land line in order to send me an access code. Sainsbury's have written to me to say, effectively, tough titty, if you don't like it take your business elsewhere! I live in a rural area, and our access to banks is diminishing daily. Digital banking is the future, and the first signs are appearing that this might disappear too, especially for those of us who live in rural areas.3 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Colin Davies

Reinstate an RBS branch in DalbeattieThere are no Banks in Dalbeattie. It is very poor for a State owned Bank to teat people this way. Perhaps all the big Banks could get together and cooperate to start some sort of Banking Hub. Not many years ago it was possible for a bright pupil to leave Dalbeattie high School walk down the high Street and get a Job with any one of three Banks. Not anymore.4 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Robert Rodger

Save our home library serviceIt's very important for the" shut ins" especially those who live alone, some in that situation either have no family, or non that visit, the librarian calling once a month is a lifeline, they might not see another human face. This is especially important when many of them might loose their TV licence,it would be catastrophic for these people.8 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Joan Doyle

Airfare tax should subsidise Solar Panels. From 20th October 2019 VAT on solar panels will increase from 5% to 20%. Despite declaring a climate emergency, the government has cancelled payments for electricity uploaded to the grid by micro producers. These changes make solar panels uneconomical to install. The VAT on fossil fuels including coal & gas will remain at 5%. At present airfare carbon taxes are not used specifically to promote and develop renewable energy.6 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Niall Burke

OUTDOOR WORKERS NEED TOILETS TOOMany people in the UK are now embarking on 'deliberate dehydration' tactics to reduce the need to to use the toilet when outdoors. According to the Royal Society Of Public Health Over half (56%) of the public now restrict fluid intake due to concern over lack of toilet facilities. Outdoor workers are facing similar problems with some resorting to deliberate dehydration which can seriously affect health and exacerbate existing medical problems, National and local governments must pilot innovative new ways of financing public toilets, including a “spend a penny” campaign. In recent decades an increasing pressure on local authority budgets has led to the privatisation or closure of many public toilets. Failure to provide adequate public loos also directly hampers some of the UK’s wider public health efforts, such as curbing obesity, and keeping our increasingly elderly population physically active and socially engaged with the community. The increasing decline in public toilets is a threat to health, mobility, and equality. Also .... The lack of public toilets disproportionately affects people with ill health or disability, the elderly, women, outdoor workers and the homeless. Three in four of the UK public think there are not enough public toilets in their area. Knowledge of lack of facilities nearby acts as a ‘loo leash’, deterring as many as one in five (20%) from venturing out of their homes as often as they would like. This rises to over two in five (43%) among those with medical conditions requiring frequent toilet use. Over half (56%) of the public now restrict fluid intake due to concern over lack of access to a toilet. We must therefore call the Government to make the adequate provision of public toilets a compulsory and urgent priority. Please share if you agree70 of 100 SignaturesCreated by JAMES MCGOVERN

Mindless tree and vegetation removal .The trees and vegetation which have been at the side of tracks etc. have been there for hundreds of years .Network rail have over the last few years gone into overdrive removing it and not allowing if to regrow using various excuses for doing so . This natural barrier is a haven for animals and wildlife, acts as a privacy/sound barrier for those living close to the track and enhances the look of the area . It is also extremely important as the trees and shrubs help to protect against pollution and help cleaning the air.93 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Paul Tarry

More money for NHS StaffThey work very hard healing and looking after the sick. It is very hard and demanding work! Mental Health Nurses in particular receive a lot of physical and verbal abuse. Shorter shifts would mean they would be less tired and therefore do an even better job! They deserve to be highly paid for all the good they do! I was in a Psychiatric Hospital for five months with Bi Polar and Spinal Stenosis whIch was extremely painful and I had an absolutely brilliant physio and team, plus a lot of help from an occupational therapist who got a grant to have my house cleared, we filled a skip, tidied and deep cleaned because I had not been able to keep it tidy due to being so ill before my admittance! The nurses got my benefits sorted and got me some help towards the boarding fees for my dogs. Everyone of the staff helped me immensely!8 of 100 SignaturesCreated by Abigail Knowles
