• Give supporters a genuine say in how their clubs are run
Football supporters are unlike many other consumers and football clubs unlike most other businesses. A club is a vital community asset on many levels. It is therefore unsatisfactory that supporters of many teams have to live for long periods with owners and regimes which they see as actively damaging to the clubs they support. In short, supporters need recourse to football authorities. Supporters are driven to direct action or away from their passion and in any number of cases have seen their clubs taken to the brink of extinction before being able to assert a degree of control over the running of their club. It's high time the government and FA gave supporters real whistle blowing powers and backed this up with tough independent investigation and sanctions, (including the removal of the golden share or the right to own and run the business) against those running football clubs in a self interested or incompetent manner.

  • Change Norwich City Football Kits
Norwich City is a club with a great history and the three kits do not reflect a club as great as ours. They are unfashionable, ugly and make a mockery of the players and fans who will have to wear them this season.

  • Fair price for Milk at the Farm Gate
This endless pressure being placed upon the dairy farmers of the UK is about to implode and will bring down the dairy industry that is unique and of tremendous value to the UK , the industry supports thousands of jobs in the rural communities across the UK for every dairy farmer and employee there are over 35 people employed in the service industries that support them, not to mention banking , insurance etc. the usual service industries we all use. The knock on effect to other agricultural sectors will also have major impacts on our economy, environment and the whole infrastructure of the UK countryside. All sectors of the food producing industry are under pressure from world prices, we are unique as a country in that we are able to produce almost 100% of our food requirements if we were allowed to, we also have growing export markets in food and food producing machinery , our produce is seen as the best and safest produced world wide. This export market will also be threatened if the home market is not maintained. UK farmers will turn their backs on food production as we can now grow crops and utilise land for renewable energy production with profitable secure long term income. This would put UK food security under great pressure and we would have a greater reliance upon imports with unreliability of supply and a lack of traceability of our food supply. If you want our unique to the UK, fresh dairy produce, fully traceable farm assured wholesome produce sign this petition and buy 'Red Tractor' assured produce when you next do your shopping. BUT if you want UHT or POWDERED milk on your breakfast and your children's breakfasts tomorrow move on.

  • Stop B-listed Glasgow building being demolished to make way for student housing
J.A. Campbell architect . Building some of Glasgow's finest Victorian inner city architecture should be protected or at least sensitively redesigned for a modern city amenity rather than being demolished. It lies within the Central Glasgow conservation area, so in principle its demolition should not be approved.

  • Save Bill Quay Farm
Bill Quay Farm is a working community farm set over 25 acres in the Pelaw area of Gateshead. It has existed since 1986 but lost its funding from Gateshead council in 2013 and since then has been run as a registered charity staffed by volunteers. All of the farm livestock at Bill Quay Community Farm is rare and indigenous. The farm is a Rare Breeds Survival Trust Approved Farm Park and has several breeding groups of animals including award winning Tamworth pigs, and rare sheep and goats. They also have a small cafe and shop using locally sourced products. In conjunction with east Durham college they also run many courses-my son is about to finish his first year level 3 diploma there-after gaining his level 2 award last year-its a fantastic place to study. And the number of students enrolling is increasing as word gets around. The farm is an oasis of peace for Gateshead residents and many of us have been going there for twenty years or more. But the farm is now in crisis-requiring fifty thousand pounds by the end of August or else it will be forced to close. We are asking Gateshead Council to help fund all or part of this to ensure the farms survival for future generations and to preserve these wonderful rare animals.

  • Keep pedestrians safe
This is a blind crossing point, because of the configuration of the junction, and the fence round the adjoining property. It is much used by persons wishing to access the Sherwood House surgery at 9 Sandon Road, many of whom are elderly, disabled, or young mums. I am concerned as Secretary to the local Neighbourhood Forum that there may be a fatality at the junction if something is not done.

  • Freedom to photograph in European cities
Imagine if the Old Masters were not allowed to paint pictures of renaissance Venice? Or Sir Christopher Wren prevented Canaletto from painting St.Paul's Cathedral. That's what the European Parliament is considering - making it illegal for the best photographers and film makers to include the image of any modern building in their work. There is growing opposition to this from MEPs - let's make sure it's overwhelming.

  • Make April 28th TERRY PRATCHETT DAY
Terry Pratchett is the most accomplished British writer of the late 20th and early 21st century. His novels and their contained philosophy have had a huge effect on popular culture and the Discworld exists in the hearts of millions of loyal readers. Terry's tireless work at the end of his life confronting the prejudice and fear surrounding dementia and the choice to die with dignity mark him out as a truly extraordinary human being and one deserving of a day in his honour.

  • Make MPs responsible to their constituents.
I want a representative in parliament that reflects the views and feelings of myself and all the other constituents. To think that this can be achieved by a single vote every 5 years is ludicrous, things move much faster than that these days. Continuously, I and other people I know, write to our MP with our views and problems only to have the exact party line thrust in our faces. This is not democracy !

  • Save London's City Skyline Campaign
The proposed skyscraper at 22 Bishopsgate is on plot earmarked for the tallest building in the City of London. This site should therefore be reserved for a building of architectural merit and be world enviable. Instead in Karen Cook of PLP Architecture, (the senior architect of the scheme) own admission to the Architects Journal "we didn't want to appear extravagant in terms of cost and design" "I wanted to do something dignified and simple, allowing the other more articulated one-off pieces (such as the Cheesegrater and the Gerkin) to remain special." This scheme will destroy the city views to millions of Londoners and affect London's appeal around the world. This particular site will be of special architectural interest to the public and the proposed scheme does not meet their expectation. The prior superior scheme gained planning permission and is a building worthy in London's skyline. The previous proposal can be found here: http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=375557 Please sign if you wish the proposal be rejected at planning or called in for public inquiry.
