  • Stop the Closure of the New School Butterstone
The New School Butterstone was originally founded in rural Perthshire, as a safehaven for education for young people with complex needs such as asperges and autism. These students come to Butterstone having found mainstream education challenging, and find that they are able to get on and thrive in an environment tailored to their needs. Smaller classes, individualized lessons and like minded students. WHAT will happen to these young people now? Will they simply be segwayed back into mainstream education in large classes, where they will be misunderstood, ignored and left at a disadvantage. We shouldn't be loosing places like 'The New School...' we should be gaining them, and learning from them. Please sign and help!

  • Offer Asia Bibi asylum in the uk
Everyone should have the right to freedom of speech and for the ruling of a fair trial to be upheld against objections based on extremism/hate and free from oppression/fear of reprisals from hardline/extremist groups. The court and judiciary should be kept independent and free of pressure from outside influences, be they political, religious or other.

  • Primary school bus service. Millbank and rosebank primary
This is important because it would take a lot of pressure off parents and their children. It would also keep the roads safer as it would mean less traffic on the lochloy Road as buses would mean less cars.

  • Immediate reduction of high stakes gambling machines
These machines let people spend thousands in a matter of minutes, creating lots of gambling addicts. This directly effects social and mental wellbeing, and leads to 2 people committing suicide every day. The only reason the government has done this is because of financial gain from the tax system of around £400 million! This is a very disappointing irresponsible attitude.

  • Wadebridge to Padstow Camel trail Toilet closure.
There is a NEED for this facility. This only highlights the councils need to sell off public amenities. We need to stop these changes and speak up for what is right.

  • Social Hero
Erin Pizzey is a bonafide hero, having stood for justice when other would not and suffered persecution for her correct beliefs. She has maintained and contributed to making Britain great and socially just. And for her troubles, she has received no recognition from her home country and it is a disgrace. Erin Pizzey's should be recognized for her dedication and contributions by a grateful nation and included in the New Year's honours list. She is worthy of appointment to the noble Order of the Garter or at least should be awarded an MBE.

  • SAVE OUR COMMUNITY'S HEALD HEAD COTTAGE.
This Cottage was donated to the communities of THURNSCOE, GOLDTHORPE, and BOLTON UPON DEARNE. It is to be used freely of charge for the development and use of outdoor pursuits. For many years, pupils and families in the Dearne area enjoy this place as an activity wonderland for camping and outdoor pursuits, being self sufficient at no charge from any commercial enterprise. In the past twenty years it has help produce many athletes at all standards of abilities up to school, town, district, county, National and international level due to its free access and voluntary coaching. In many instances this has been the only holiday recreation our pupils have thoroughly enjoyed from these three mining villages of a most economically deprived part of South Yorkshire. We have used much of our initiatives to utilise the council open woodland for running, jumping, survival and throwing exercises. Through this, dozens of our pupils have represented Yorkshire, England, and Great Britain,. One special feature we created was outdoor central heated winter climbing frames and Athletic related Gymnastics structures. All due to the communities children's ingenuity and initiatives. Some of these pupils grew to to become excellent ambassadors for our community some of which have have been soldiers promoted up the ranks. On a visit to the near by town of Denby Dale our youngsters helped recover stolen property from a burglary in the Town and was honoured by a special invite to a celebration dinner at the Barnsley Lord Mayors Parlour. We wish the TRUSTEES to continue this development and not to Sell it off to Private developers.

  • Housing developments should include green spaces.
Gardens are so small these days with property developers squeezing as many houses as possible into an area. Many of our modern developments are some distance from shops, parks, etc, making it necessary to get in a car every time you leave the house. If it is a very large development a community building should be part of the plan complete with 'green' and what about a village pond!

  • Stop the Windrush generation from being deported
This is important to me because my cousin is fighting at this moment of time against the government to stay in this country. She came here when she was 12 and lived most her life here. Her mother died and she couldn't go to her funeral. There is so much she wants to achieve for e.g. university and she can't. There is so much more like her struggling in Britain and they need the support.
