• Stop the Route Changes for the 56 Bus
This service is an essential link for the elderly who use it to access the shops in Broadstairs and St. Peter's and Margate, to attend the GP's surgery, to go to friends and generally to lead an independent life. Cutting out the lower part of Broadstairs High Street and taking away the stop in Hopeville Avenue will seriously affect many. Re-routing via Carlton Avenue and Green Lane makes the service much less user-friendly.

  • Roundabout for Beanfield Ave/Cottingham Road junction Corby
This is a dangerous junction at most time and is really bad at the school run time, sometimes the traffic backs up to way past the St. Brendan's Church and beyond. Also can cause a hazard at the Zebra Crossing. Seen many a near miss here as some people turn left then do a u-turn at the right turning a bit further down.

  • Northamptonshire County Council
This junction is dangerous and congestion backs down from the junction to the Jamb in Corby. This is made worse during peak times causing delays for workers, children travelling to and from school and businesses.

  • Allow Ambulances on non-emergency journeys to use Bus Lanes
Most people are aware of the pressures the Ambulance Service and the NHS are under. What many may be unaware of is the wideranging variances there are in Bus Lane use between Local Authorities. This makes it confusing, and reliant upon local knowledge, as to whether a Bus Lane may be used or not. Ambulances sitting in queues of traffic while Bus Lanes are free doesn't make much sense, as it delays patients and Ambulances when there is an alternative.

  • Improved Bus Service in Southeast London
As is typical in South London, it can be more straightforward to travel to Central London than it is to get across one part of South London to the next. Currently to get from Dulwich Wood Avenue to East Dulwich via Lordship Lane entails catching 3 buses. The very irregular 450, which at times can be in 15 minute intervals, the very irregular 363 on Sydenham Hill with waits of up to ten minutes. Finally the 176 or 185 on Lordship Tavern. By car, the school run would take 10-15 minutes. By bus, it can take up to 45 minutes. This is just wrong and puts extra pressure and stress on those with kids attending school in that area. What we require is a direct bus service connecting Crystal Palace to East Dulwich via Lordship Lane. This would make the journey quicker and easier and should help to reduce the need to drive, thus removing traffic from the local roads.

  • Reduce speed limit outside Haygrove school
Currently the speed limit outside Haygrove School, Bridgwater is 30mph. I think it would be beneficial to change the speed limit to 20mph. This is a road that needs to be crossed by many students immediately after they leave school. Not only would this ensure students have a safe walk to and from school, it would encourage them to walk which has a positive impact on the environment. However, parents drop children off directly outside school which can become unsafe for other drivers and children.

  • Reinstate the X20 Bus service through Broomhill/Togston
The new X20 bus route no longer passes through the North Broomhill & Togston villages, the residents now face up to a 3 mile rural walk to the nearest bus stop based in Hadston village to use the X20 bus service to reach the two nearest towns. We have elderly, frail & young members of our community whom are too vulnerable to make an approximate 30 minute walk between rural villages and cannot navigate the suggested alternative bus routes as they all require bus changes in different villages with a considerable distance between bus stations. An alternative service (X18) allowing passengers to commute from North Broomhill & Togston village to Hadston village and only runs once an hour, has the bus stop located at what is known as the 'road end' thus these vulnerable members of our community have to walk a considerable distance in order to access their local Doctors surgery, Children's Care Centre, Community Centre, pharmacy and shopping precinct. We would really appreciate your help in highlighting our concerns and asking DR Manfred Rudhart CEO Arriva North East to reinstate a vital bus route for those most with need and vulnerability in our community. Many thanks for taking the time to read this.
